Zheng He Park | Come to Jinning to check in

||| Passing through Jinning, the elders in the family took us to a free admission and historically educational spot - Zheng He Park, which is worth spending about 1 to 2 hours to tour and visit. Zheng He Park is solemn and respectful, with green pines and cypresses complementing the fruit orchards. On both sides of the south gate, there are reliefs of 'Zheng He's Seven Voyages to the Western Seas', with a mighty fleet braving the waves towards the west, majestic and spectacular. The east gate is located in the middle of Kunyang Street, with a glass workshop on top and red walls at the wing corners. Inside the park, there are 'Zheng He Memorial Hall' and 'Ma Haji Stele' among others. In the Zheng He Memorial Hall, there are over 100 pieces of various precious cultural relics on display, including Zheng He's nautical charts, models of Zheng He's ocean-going treasure ships, and pictures and textual materials about Zheng He's voyages to the Western Seas. In the pine and cypress forest west of the memorial hall lies the tomb of Zheng He's father, Ma Haji. Since Zheng He lost his father at the age of 11 and could not remember his father's name, he only knew that both his grandfather and father had made pilgrimages to the holy Mecca in Islam, and were respectfully referred to as 'Haji' (which means a devout and learned pilgrim in Arabic), hence the inscription on the stele reads 'The honorable Haji', and the stele is commonly known as 'Ma Haji Stele'. In addition, there is also the 'Zheng He Memorial Pavilion' and others.
