A feast of sea and sky at Pingliuwei

Pingliuwei Geological Park is located in the southeast of Tailu Town, Lianjiang County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, and the northeast of Huangqi Peninsula. It is at the easternmost point of Fuzhou, about 100 kilometers away from Fuzhou, and only 4.96 nautical miles from the nearest point of Matsu Islands. Here the coastline is long, the cliffs are steep, there are rich and varied forms of marine erosion landforms such as marine erosion platforms, marine erosion caves, marine erosion lanes, especially a piece of marine erosion platform located under the coastline, with an area of nearly 10,000 square meters, which cannot be flooded even at high tide. These marine erosion landforms have formed a unique coastal landscape line. The local government and the masses have used this tourism resource to develop the Pingliuwei Marine Geological Park.
