agha-bozorg, more than a mosque!
Like many other historical mosques in Iran, Agha Bozorg Mosque is also not just a mosque, but a school as well. Besides, you can enjoy watching great works of Persian art and architecture in this great monument. Let’s have a closer look at this historical building.
Agha Bozorg Mosque was built in the late 18th century. This lovely mosque has a lively backyard and also an oasis hidden underground level for praying ceremonies. The most eye-catching feature of this place is definitely its blue and turquoise tiles which are tactfully and beautifully placed next to each other to form interesting Persian geometric patterns. you can find another charming item of Persian architecture in the yard. The central courtyard and the lovely pool in the middle are good examples of this art. Another place for you to wonder about this structure is the ceiling under the dome. Generally speaking, you should NEVER forget to look at the ceilings in Persian historical sites.

Kashan, Iran: Agha Bozorg Mosque
🇮🇷Kashan, Iran: Agha Bozorg Mosque✔️
After returning to Tehran by plane from Qeshm Island, the two restless people decided not to miss any attractions in Iran and decided to take a day trip to Kashan.
Tehran is more than 200 kilometers away from Kashan. At first, we called Snap, but unfortunately no one was willing to take the order. Then, we ran to the previous youth hostel and asked the local Iranians to help call a car.
Fortunately, our drivers are always very interesting. This time it was a handsome local brother who agreed to pick us up and drop us off. He introduced us to the attractions along the way, took us to buy Persian carpets, helped us negotiate prices and bargains, and bought us ice cream. Maybe having two Chinese girls by his side in Iran also makes him feel very proud~
The Agha Bozorg Mosque we went to this time was also driven by this brother. It was built in the 19th century, symmetrical in shape, and consists of four parts: a sunken courtyard with a purification pool; a very simple dome; a minaret built with tiles and a very tall spire. The wooden front door has many patterns and mosaic patterns.
Because this mosque is relatively niche, there are no tourists when we go in. The angles we shoot are all taught by a local old man. At first, we thought he would charge a fee and didn't dare to let him shoot. In the end, I found out that he just left with a smile after taking the pictures. He doesn't want money either. So far, whether it's the beautiful scenery I've seen in Iran or the people I've met, they all make me very healed. Their simplicity and kindness also slowly calm my restless heart~
⚠️The basement is not allowed to go, because the Islamic University is still in use.

When I was looking for accommodation in Kashan, I followed the navigation to an unknown home. The hotel was next to the old house. The entrance was not eye-catching, but there was a hole in the sky, a very beautiful courtyard, and a complimentary breakfast every day. The first stop we stayed in was like a treasure. Together with the beautiful big sister from Poland, I went up to the top of the building and said it was early. I thought I was wrong, so weird. How can the Polish say good morning? She explained that she has been in Taiwan for three years and will speak Chinese a little bit and can only communicate briefly.
Psychology of Polish sisters, married in Bali for ten years, traveling with family every year, walking through many places around the world, this time with her husband and son to Iran, after a simple sunrise church Their family said that they would like to go to a magical mosque in the city together, and we promised with joy.
We walked all the way to the mosque, and the mosque was half hidden by the tourists. The villagers flew open and saw the birds flying over the mosque, screaming in the silent sky.

Kashan, a small town that should not be missed.
card is still located between Tehran and Isfahan, with a population of 110,000, a true historical town. A lot of time-stricken travelers will skip Kazan directly, but I really don't recommend it. Because there are ancient and exquisite historical old houses, quiet and winding streets, lovely Bazaar, every year in April and May, Kashang also turned into a city of roses, which is rich in roses, so rose water and essential oils are also here. Specialties.
Right, don't forget, there is also a historic hotel converted from an old house. The top two historical hotels in LP are quite good, and it is highly recommended to try it out. Of course, you have to remember to book in advance.

Kashan is an oasis city on the edge of the desert. The rose oil is famous inside and outside, and the exquisite Persian garden is like the nectar in the desert oasis. The Persian house here is elegant and atmospheric, and the carefully decorated inner wall and courtyard let you I want to go back to the Grand Bazaar when I am free. When I am tired, I go to the station to have a cup of black tea or coffee, and I will mingle with the passionate Persian people.
