Oldest and Biggest Food Market in London
When you're in London, I think Borough Market is one of the must visit place in your list if you are a food lover! It is one of the largest and oldest historic food market hall in Central London for artisan food and organic produce. It is easily accessible by bus and tube! Take a tube to London Bridge Station through the Jubilee Line Tube and you can walk to Borough Market from the station!
There are various types of food there including variety of cheese, coffee, seafoods, desserts and chocolates. We bought white chocolate swirl from one of the stalls that sells handmade chocolate and it tastes so unique and different from other chocolates ive ever tasted!
Most stalls provides testers so you can actually taste before making your decision on which one to buy! The sellers are super friendly and kind enough to explain to you about their products.

Borough Market - London, UK
One of my favourite, must visit spot when I’m in London, it’s Borough Market! This market has been here since 1850s and it’s filled with up to 100 stores selling different delicious food and things for you to buy!
Looking for something to eat? Don’t miss out stores that sell cheese, beef, fresh seafood, ice cream and many more! If you’re fan of Uncle Roger, you will find ‘Mei Mei’ store in Borough Market too!
There are also non-food stores like barber shops, hardware stores and garden store too!
Borough Market is open daily and can be reached by alighting at London Bridge tube station.

All the good food at Borough Market 😋
Was so glad that we visited the Borough Market for brunch and thankfully we went early to avoid the peak hour queue. Love the toasties and the pulled pork brioche. Oyster is nice but not that great. Tried the mulled wine which is nice and spicy. Lastly, we went during the Christmas period where there is a stall selling Christmas pudding! That is definitely a must buy! There are lots of stalls in the market which caters to everyone.

The market consists of 3 main sections, namely Green Market with small, specialist produce traders, Three Crown Square with larger producers and merchants, and finally everyone’s favourite — Borough Market Kitchen, featuring all the street food! You will also find various restaurants and bars as you navigate through the market.
Because of its popularity among the locals and tourists, the place is usually packed with crowds and you have to squeeze to get through, but trust me, it’s worth the squeeze!

When you ever have the chance to visit London you should definitely check out the Borough Market and the surrounding area.
The Market offers a great variety of freshly baked food and bakery products. The great thing about this market that it is under a roof so it protects you from the sun and also from the rain which is more likely in London.
The surroundings are beautiful too.
There is a very big church next door which is beautifully designed and its great to see the inside of it as well.
Furthermore there is a great monument in the area. The area is beautiful and the building are huge #tripblazers

Borough Market is a wholesale and retail market hall in Southwark, London, England. It is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London, with a market on the site dating back to at least the 12th century. Great variety of food stalls at affordable price points for London. This market has street food, fresh vegetables, cheese, spices and butchers. I enjoyed gnocchi with mushroom sauce. 4 stars because unlike other markets I have visited there are fewer options for vegetarian/vegan/gluten free with no specific veggie stalls which is unusual for a city like London. It gets very busy so visit outside of lunchtime rush hours to avoid tourists. Ideally located underneath London Bridge train station.
food heaven!!!!
let me introduce you guys my favourite food market in London. it is indeed one of most popular tourist attractions. here, you are able to watch all kinds of cuisines you would like. for example, Spanish paella, Indian curry, fried rice, English pie (even have vegan/vegetarian options). Apart from the fresh food they make, they also have fresh and locally sourced products, such as cheese, herbs, spice and other food related products.
it located in the centre of london, really close to london bridge. the interesting part is this huge market is under the railway lines.
prices are pretty decent, in comparison to other food groceries in london, it’s not excessively expensive. if you wanna grab a bite, or some English foods, this is the place you should visit #bucketlistreboot #tripblazers #mytripvlog

This market was established in 1885 and famous for its artisan food and fresh organic products.
Come here with an empty stomach as there are many things to try and eat.
Do check out the opening date/time. We came here on Saturday morning so most traders come to flaunt their wares. There are a wide variety of food to try and produce to buy as souvenirs.
My favourite is the Monmouth Coffee Company. However, it was so crowded by the time we reached. So I get a coffee takeaway and it’s very good. They do sell the roasted beans here if you wish to brew at home.
Borough Market
Address – 8 Southwark St, London SE1 1TL, United Kingdom (5 minutes walk from London Bridge MRT)
Highlights – Fresh Organic Produces (For Seafood lovers – oysters, prawn and more!)
Rating – 5/5
One of the largest and oldest food markets in London! I would say it is suitable for those who likes seafood as this is one of the places that you can be able to get the freshest seafood with the wholesale price.
I went there for the artisan bakery and fresh produce such as Honey, Truffle, Fruits and more.
I would say it is commonly open in the early morning and will end at mid-afternoon, 3pm – 4pm timing. So if you want to head there, you should head there during the weekday and at around late morning, 10am or so to grab the food before lunch crowds start!

Check this out for a taste of British culture
Experience London for two weeks, and you can say that museums, art galleries, and various local cultures have all been explored. Let me introduce some today.
1⃣️ Borough Market: London's largest and oldest market. It gathers everyday ingredients such as: cheese, ham, flowers, fruits, etc.
🌟 Cheese Mushroom Rice: Full of creamy flavor, but a bit too rich after one serving.
🌟 Fish and Chips🍟: Tried a few places, the taste is really average, can only say it's a local British snack, just have a little taste.
🌟🌟 The longest queue at Borough Market is for the Spanish seafood rice (simplified version): The curry soup base is a bit salty, but overall not bad. The owner is chubby and cute.
🌟 Fruits: Strawberries, cherries🍒 are really cheap and not too sour, worth buying a portion.
🌟 Italian Big Bread? There's also a long queue, it's flaky pastry stuffed with various meats: pig's head, chicken, beef. The pork flavor is delicious😋
🌟 Ice Cream🍦: The ice cream here is mixed with cream, very milky, but also easy to get tired of.
—————————
2⃣️ Beer🍻 The distinctive drinking culture of Britain, Londoners gather in groups at the pub door to drink and chat after work.
【Black Friar】 One of the most famous local beer spots, very crowded, best to book in advance.
There are many types of beer here: craft, wheat, fruit beer. You can ask the staff for recommendations, although many words are also not understood🐒
But you can tell him to try some of their most popular ones, he will let you try four different flavors. We chose the one with the strongest fruit flavor, suitable for girls.
—————————
3⃣️ Musical🎵 'The Lion King': This enduring musical, even if you don't understand English, is still watchable. There's something very touching here, foreigners are really expressive and good at showing their emotions. Every time a piece of music ends, they clap and whistle vigorously👏, while at home everyone just claps briefly at the end. Here, the whole audience stands up and applauds after the curtain call, which is a great affirmation for the actors.
—————————
4⃣️ Tea: It seems that the largest tea export is Japanese matcha, but British tea is also worth trying. 【Twinings】 is a local brand. There are many varieties, and the prices are moderate, suitable for gifts. There's tasting available, I chose fruit tea for my good sister, it's very fragrant and slightly sweet, I think it might also taste good with some milk and honey.
—————————
5⃣️ Sunbathing🌞, in addition to the cultural activities mentioned above. Sunbathing is also a daily routine for Europeans. London has many parks and lawns of various sizes. Just find a place to lie down! Enjoy life😎
🌸❣️Popular Donuts at Borough market
#cherryblossom2024
Address: Borough Market, Cathedral St, London SE1 9DE, United Kingdom
Opening hours: Closed on Monday, 9am to 5pm for the rest of the week
We are here at the most popular Borough market and this is one of my favourite place to go, Bread Ahead Bakery. Their donuts are the best and I always end up over buying here. You can watch all the baking actions in the bakery while you are in the queue. Their fresh donuts will make you buy more than what you really need so better to have a friend with you to stop you from over buying. The best way to enjoy these donuts is to eat it fresh.

the crumble without the fruit
I absolutely loved visiting Humble Crumble on Borough Market in London! It is the perfect place for a warm dessert & it’s a must go to whilst visiting. Very easy to order on the tablets, quick service, the queues can sometimes get busy during certain periods of time however it’s worth the wait. If you’re like me and love the crumble on apple crumble but hate the fruit then this is the way to go, you can customise and pick as you fancy! 100% recommend

【London Attractions】Westminster Bridge, London Eye, Natural History Museum, Borough Market! Recommended attractions!
This time, taking a flight to the capital of the UK, London, I visited a number of attractions, among which the three I consider must-see are Westminster Bridge, the Natural History Museum, and Borough Market.
The first attraction is an arch bridge located in London, UK, spanning the Thames River, connecting the City of Westminster at Westminster Bridge. From this bridge, you can see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and the London Eye! It is a highly recommended attraction!
The second attraction is the Natural History Museum, where right at the entrance there is a long dinosaur fossil hanging in mid-air, and here you can also find biological fossils of dinosaurs from different periods. If you love history, this is a place you can't miss!
The third is Borough Market, where I tasted a restaurant called Salt Beef, which is a salty beef sandwich, and it was very delicious! Take the Underground to London Bridge, and it's just a 1-minute walk to get there!

Borough market is definitely a must-visit place in London that you couldn’t miss it for sure. This place is full of local cuisines and great food with affordable prices. In recently, I have been borough market to try the paella and the raw beef sandwiches which tasted absolutely incredible and juicy. Moreover, you can also visit some local shop such as the shop of the smoked salmon. They are fresh and it is safe to eat when you buy it . The street outside of the borough market is also beautiful and artistic !
