Guangzhou Zoo explicitly rejects ❌ animal performances, and many animals have been rescued from circuses,
We hope that when you come to see the animals, you can be as kind and gentle as possible, and not disturb them.
-
Every time I visit Guangzhou Zoo, I see that the animals are very comfortable and at ease. The animals have their own names and introductions, and you can feel that they are treated seriously and with respect, and are well cared for.
Trip to Guangzhou, China 🇨🇳
This is a post to share some of my favorite spot in Guang Zhou. I travel to GuangZhou from Singapore. During this trip, I spent about 5days and 4 nights to explore the city.
Upon arrival, I went to explore Lu Yun Tea House. I was amazed by the variety items on the menu. They served very good dimsum and dessert. I had many of their dimsum and my favorite is “虾饺”. As for dessert, I would definitely recommend you to try their mango sago dessert 💯 So so good 😂 It was so good until I ordered one more for takeaway 🤣

We also visited the most famous Dafo Temple (Guangzhou). They open from 08:00- 22:00 everyday.I would recommend you to visit the temple during the night, around 19:00- 22:00 as they will switch on all the lights around and make the temple even more beautiful 😍 The temple is easily accessible by train and I really recommend you to visit this spot if you’re around in Guang Zhou. Worth to visit!

Another place that I would recommend to visit will be, Guang Zhou Zoo. I always love to visit zoo whenever I travel to different countries. The ticket for Guangzhou zoo is very cheap and we bought the ticket on spot. We were amazed by the zoo as there are many different types of animals. I wouldn’t recommend you to visit during the weekend as the crowd is crazy! If we were given a chance to visit again, we will definitely arrange the visit on weekdays 🥹 But overall, we are still very satisfied and happy.

Shixiang Garden in Guangzhou, a niche garden suitable for one person to wander and daze
Shixiang Garden in Guangzhou, a niche garden suitable for one person to wander and daze.
Shixiang Garden is known as the 'cradle of Lingnan painting school'
Compared to more popular gardens, I prefer this quiet garden with fewer people
Without too much decoration, and without grandeur, but also simple and just right
Small houses and corridors, stone benches and tables, small bonsai add scenery, wall stone paintings are exquisite and skillful
Come here to feel the quiet cultural and bookish atmosphere!
Navigation: Shixiang Garden Memorial Hall
Transportation: Walk about 700 meters from Exit C2 of Changgang Station on Metro Line 2 or Line 8
Tickets: Free and no reservation required
Tips
The park is not large, it is recommended to play for 1 to 2 hours. It is also close to Jiangnanxi Metro, there are many places to eat, and there is also Xiaogang Park nearby which is worth visiting

🐼Must see the panda pavilion, when I went in the morning, I saw a panda wandering outside, very cute.
🐘Elephant pavilion, when I went, I saw two elephants eating grass.
There are many other animals in the whole park, such as primates, gorillas, golden monkeys. The beast area has lions, South China tigers, Northeast tigers, black bears, etc. The Flying Grand View Garden has many birds, ostriches, parrots, etc.
📌Small Tips:
➡️There is a small post office pavilion in the park, where you can collect the stamps of animals. Remember to bring a book.
➡️There are two entrances to the park, the north gate is near feeding pigeons, and the south gate is near children's amusement facilities.
Detailed Guide to Guangzhou Zoo
① It is recommended to go in the morning
Enter the zoo from the south gate at eight o'clock
Buy student tickets for 10r/person on the right side of the south gate, remember to check which queue window is open to avoid the embarrassment of queuing up to the ticket window that is not open! After buying the tickets, queue up to enter the zoo (there is a map on the back of the ticket, but it is not detailed, you can use the mobile map to search for any place you want to visit)
② After queuing, go straight to the panda house, no need to go in, no need to go in! The queue to go in is very long, as shown in Figure 2.
③ The panda will be outside, and the keeper will feed it bamboo! If you go early, you can see the panda eating bamboo, just go to the exit of the panda house to see it!
④ You can bring some carrots or vegetables to the amusement park, the small animals inside can be fed, and the antelope can be touched, but it's a bit smelly.
⑤ You can also go to Monkey Mountain (should be this, I forgot a bit) to watch monkeys eat! The keepers feed them in the morning, and the monkeys eating apples are super cute.
⑥ Go and see the peacock open its screen! It's very worth seeing haha! Every peacock tries very hard to open the screen for a long time!
The things in the park are a bit expensive, it is recommended that everyone bring their own water and food
Come to Guangzhou Zoo to see the 'black and white rice ball' giant panda this weekend
A sentence to describe Guangzhou Zoo: Twenty bucks are worth it🤣
We are really lucky that Guangzhou has such a zoo, which is not only suitable for parent-child play, but also for couples or friends to play for a day!
Walking around, you can always find interesting scenes, I have already made the strategy, the introduction is very detailed, just go and play this weekend,
⏰Time: 8:00-18:00
📍Address: 120 Xianlie Middle Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou
🚇Subway: Exit B of Zoo Station on Line 5
Note⚠️: Stop entering the park at four thirty in the afternoon
🎫: The full ticket is 20 yuan/person, you can buy it directly on site
(Students with student ID, 60-65 year olds with valid documents half price 10 yuan/person)
The park is very large, it is recommended to enter the park in the morning, reserve enough play time, do not choose to arrive at noon, because many animals are napping, it is recommended to enter from the south gate of the zoo Exit B of Zoo Station on Line 5
✅Starting from the gentle herbivorous animals, you will see various zoo areas, the most worth checking in places, here I will recommend them one by one.
1⃣️The first is the Panda Pavilion, the most popular star in Guangzhou Zoo now, it must be these two giant pandas, half of the people in Guangzhou come to chase stars, you see there are many people on the scene to see pandas,
2⃣️The second is to go to the giraffe, the giraffe will start to feel dizzy if it lowers its head for more than five minutes. So. It always eats with its head up.
3⃣️The third is the bird cage, because it is free-range, many birds inside can be contacted at close range, and the peacock that is always in business is really dedicated.
4⃣️The last one is the amusement park, here is not only a place for children to play, but also an adult's paradise, with Ferris wheel, roller coaster, etc., let you feel the joy of childhood. In addition, there are tiger, lion, and elephant scenic spots in the beast area. There are signs at every intersection, and you can go straight to your favorite animal pavilion without worrying about getting lost. The holiday is coming, hurry up and bring your good friends to play for a whole day.
Must-see Guangzhou Zoo National Day tour guide
🈺️Opening hours: 8:00-18:00 (17:00 stop admission)
🟢It is recommended to go early‼️ Everyone go early‼️ Most animals are also more active in the morning, and many animals like to take a nap at noon. And the holiday peak is generally at 11:00. Listen to me‼️ Going early can avoid a large crowd‼️
👉Recommended tour route:
🟢North Gate leisure route: Monkey area (Golden monkey, Gibbon)——Tiger Mountain (South China Tiger)——Viewing Lake (Hippo)——Elephant——Panda Pavilion (Giant Panda)——Giraffe——Rhinoceros——Zebra——Yellow deer——South Gate out
❌Don't enter from the south gate, because entering from the south gate is a climbing route, it will be very tiring with children‼️ And the National Day Guangzhou weather is still very sunny‼️
🟢Entering from the north gate, you can bring your own food to feed the pigeons‼️ The children like it very much~ Recommended‼️
🚇Transportation: Metro Line 6 Huanghuagang A exit, walk about 500m to the south gate of the zoo
🍽Catering
There are about 9 snack bars and 2 simple restaurants in the park for tourists to use. Tourists can also prepare their own food to enter the park, but don't feed the animals‼️
There are multiple direct drinking water supply points in the park, you can just bring a cup over, so you can take the baby lightly🏃♀️
Service:
Free rental of baby carriages and umbrellas in the park, and free storage of large luggage boxes, which is very convenient! ♥️♥️
Hurry up and collect it for the National Day trip to Guangzhou Zoo, I hope this guide can help you easily take the baby~👨👩👦

Guangzhou | A lesser-known place to watch the sunset, with animals
Guangzhou Zoo is known to be the most cost-effective place in Guangzhou to see animals, and also a great place for a walk with kids, conveniently located, the zoo is right outside the subway station. Since the live broadcast of the giant pandas became popular, the zoo's visitor flow has surged, especially on weekends, many families come here for a walk. If you like animals, it's actually a nice little place for young people to date, with small amusement facilities to play with, the ferris wheel turns to the mid-air to watch the sunset is beautiful, the orange color is sprinkled all over the world. 🌅
📍Location: 120 Xianlie Middle Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City
🚌Transportation: Exit C of Zoo Station on Line 5
🎫Ticket: 20 yuan (if you want to see the Oka Science Theater, you can directly buy the package ticket online)
💕Special recommendation: 1. Watch the sunset on the Ferris wheel🌄 2. You can get close to goats and sheep 3. You can feed giraffes🦒 4. You can see peacocks walking around in the bird view
‼️Notes: 1. Go to feed the giraffes early, the feeding food is limited for sale, sold out at four or five o'clock, only if you buy the food can you go in and feed them at close range.🍃 2. It is recommended to see the pandas in the morning, I was there in the afternoon, need to queue for 30 minutes, and there are so many people, can't see the pandas, is the phone held high to take pictures.🐼 3. It is not recommended to bring your own fruits and vegetables to feed the animals, the animals may not adapt to eating, although many people bring their own food to feed on the spot.😯 4. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes, it's quite big to walk around.
From Chaozhou to Guangzhou
Panda Animal World
China, Guangdong Province, Guangzhou, Yuexiu District, 先烈中路120号 邮政编码: 510070
For panda lovers, you can visit the Guangzhou zoo to have a glimpse of the panda there. Unlike the panda from Singapore, the panda at Guangzhou seems to be less active towards human interactions. Each panda has its own house. Their home is much bigger compared to the ones in Singapore. Their cage is not air conditioned too. Hence it might be hot for them during the afternoon season.
Apart from the pandas, there were other animals too. I noticed that most carnivores stayed alone in one cage, where herbivores stayed as a group in the cage.
Do explore the Guangzhou zoo and have an education trip tour. There would be staff to guide you to the zoo and give you explanations of the animals lifestyle. Be sure to come during the fall season as it won't be too cold and too hot.

Dinosaur Theme Park
China, Guangdong Province, Guangzhou, Yuexiu District, 先烈中路120号 邮政编码: 510070
The dinosaur Theme park is located beside the Guangzhou zoo. There were many exciting and thrilling rides for the children. The children can also get to feed the rabbits which were placed inside the cage.
To get to the place, take a metro line and alight at the zoo station. Then take exit B and walk towards the South gate to enter.
I strongly recommend this place for a family trip as it is very fun and children would love those rides. All the rides were catered for children. Hence the rides would not be as thrilling and intense as those for the adults.

Guangzhou Zoo with Panda
Guangdong Province, Guangzhou, Yuexiu District, 510070
The Guangzhou Zoo is one of the highlight attractions. The admission ticket is 50 yuan. The zoo is not very big. The animals there seem moody as their cages are not very spacious compared to other zoos.
Unlike the pandas in Singapore, the two pandas in Guangzhou zoo each stay at their own cage. The cage is big and has bamboo sticks for them to chew on. Their panda cages do not have air-conditioning and the weather can get overwhelming at times.
The zoo is not crowded as I went on a weekday afternoon. The zoo closes in the evening. Be sure to reach there after lunch time.

Guangzhou Travel | Fun is comparable to Chimelong, but as long as 1/10 tickets to the Guangzhou Zoo
have always wanted to go to the Chimelong Wildlife Park have no chance, today went to the Guangzhou Zoo, only to find that so beautiful here so much! Make up for the regret of not going to Changlong!
The most worthwhile thing to play here is definitely to feed the giraffe. You can get in touch with the giraffe. The zoo you have been to before has no such thing. It is really fun.
In addition to this there are many other fun, the whole zoo is still relatively large, pandas, flamingos, kangaroos, jaguars, elephants, zebras... everything, havent visited the whole afternoon zoo.
If you don't have time to travel to Guangzhou, there is a strong recommendation to come here, be sure to feed the giraffe!
Address: No. 120, Xianlie Middle Road, Yuexiu District
Ticket: 20 yuan. Giraffe Feed: 20 yuan
