La Pedrera-Casa Milà 🇪🇸
#familytrip
My visit to La Pedrera, or Casa Milà, in Barcelona was a spellbinding journey through the genius of Antoni Gaudí. Located on the iconic Passeig de Gràcia, this architectural masterpiece stands as a testament to Gaudí's avant-garde vision.
The undulating stone facade of La Pedrera is a mesmerizing dance of curves and unconventional shapes, making it a hallmark of Modernisme. Exploring the interior, I was captivated by the fluidity of design, with every corner revealing Gaudí's meticulous attention to detail. The rooftop, adorned with surreal chimneys and whimsical sculptures, offered panoramic views of Barcelona, making it a highlight of the visit.
The Espai Gaudí exhibition within the building provided invaluable insights into the architect's life and creative process. The courtyards and the iconic ironwork were additional features that showcased Gaudí's nature-inspired design philosophy.
Situated in the Eixample district, La Pedrera's central location made it a gateway to Barcelona's cultural treasures. The nearby Casa Batlló, also designed by Gaudí, and the high-end boutiques on Passeig de Gràcia added to the allure of the neighborhood.
In conclusion, La Pedrera is not merely a building; it's a symphony of art and architecture that immerses visitors in Gaudí's revolutionary world. A visit here is an essential odyssey for anyone captivated by Barcelona's artistic and cultural heritage. #barcelona #spain #vacation
Casa Mila — a must visit attraction in Barcelona 🏠🏛️
#timetotravel
Casa Mila is absolutely phenomenal, Guadi slays!!!!
The museum offers free audio guide (available in many different languages) to tourists visiting Casa Mila, so that visitors can visit at their own pace, and at the same time, learn from the history and story behind the architecture.
I personally really love the interactive element of Casa Mila as it gives me a lasting memory of Casa Mila, e.g. the massive sculptures on the roof of Casa Mila (pic 1 and 5) are soldiers/ warriors that used to “protect” the family staying at Casa Mila. i’m
I wasn’t planning to visit so I did not book tickets ahead. Although I managed to get tickets at the door, do not learn from me because you have to queue and it costs €3 more purchasing at the ticket office 🙄

Passing through Barcelona, sharing the street scenery of Barcelona | Spain.
Barcelona is located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula, adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. It is the second largest city in Spain, the capital of the Catalonia Autonomous Community, and the capital of the province of Barcelona (belonging to the Catalonia Autonomous Community). The Catalan Autonomous Community Parliament, administrative agencies, and high court are all located here.
The total area of the city is 101.9 square kilometers, and the population of the urban area was about 1.61 million in 2012. If including the surrounding areas, the population is 4 million, second only to the capital Madrid, and it is also one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Its main ethnic group is the Catalan people. [1]
Barcelona became the capital of Catalonia and the Kingdom of Aragon in 1137, and in the early 15th century, Barcelona and its territories were incorporated into Spain.
Barcelona is a port city in Catalonia, a world-renowned Mediterranean tourist destination and a famous historical and cultural city. It is also Spain's most important trade, industry, and financial center.

I have to mention that everyone has their own guesses about the sculpture of the Milan House.
Even if I ask Gauddy, I dont get a really correct answer/hh. / Because it doesn't have a standard answer

come to Barcelona, there will be a name called Gauddy haunted, if you don't go to see Gaudi's design house, you will not know that there is still So many beautiful and chic designs.
This time in Barcelona, I went to the home of Mira, and took advantage of the sunny weather in Barcelona. I didn't hurry to take a photo. I used to be about six o'clock in the past. I bought tickets and interpreters. I can go to different places to explain the relevant content in Chinese automatically. I think it is quite necessary to better understand Gaudi's design philosophy and Some stories at the time.
If the time is a little later, you can still see the super beautiful sunset, but the Lara House really makes a lot of shots. Look for some good-looking angles, try to interact with the building itself and avoid angles. You are the protagonist of the whole blockbuster.

Casa mila, the home of the Mira, just opened the door and entered the curved corridor of the animal skeleton. On the roof is the world of light and shadow, looking up at the stars, and then looking around the wonderful chimney as if crossing into outer space. The Mila House recommends dusk or night, with beautiful warm light at dusk and a roof light show at night, a new form of artistic expression. Light and shadow change with the ups and downs of the music rhythm, sometimes strong and weak, sometimes fast and slow, and the color will change.
I have said that whether you look at painting or architecture, once you don't understand it, you can imagine these three aspects: "sex", "god", and "death." I don't dare to pack the tickets, but ten or seven are right. There is a great sexual suggestion on the roof of the Mila House.
Stayed on the roof for a long time until it was cold, and I walked down the narrow stairs to the downstairs hall to see the best star film angle. I am very recklessly calling it "the cave to the sky." "The staff in the hall prepared champagne and snacks. This wine came too timely, and the night color was suitable for a glass of wine." A few glasses of champagne are not much more than just a good time. After drinking the wine, there are some embarrassing conditions and then the Mila House in front of you is even more blurred. In this situation, there is really a sense of fluttering.
Light and shadow dancing on the wall, the building's surface is creamy texture, the sky is a little starry, and there is an elegant piano sound in the hall. This night is suitable for a waltz, suitable for holding a lover. Kiss, suitable for telling children about Gaudi, this night is very warm. From the gathering of tourists to the crowds, I also went from a strange tourist to a Gaudi powder with a flower face. Step out of the singular and gorgeous door, walk out of the dream created by Gaud, return to the real life on the streets of Barcelona, and stay in the heart.

Metro: Take Metro Line 3/5 to Diagonal Station and walk for about 5 minutes to the east.

The Villa Mila is located on the bustling streets of Gracia. It doesn't have any straight lines, the main tone is a distorted curve, and the theme is the mountain. The chimney on the roof represents the peaks that protrude from the top of the mountain. The top floor is the exhibition hall of the Gaudí building, and you can also visit the roof. The undulating appearance is an exterior wall made of white stone, a balcony railing made up of twisted iron bars and iron plates, and a large window.
The Voice of Spring 2024 is here! Join me in checking out Barcelona to the fullest!

The Voice of Spring returns! In 2024, Barcelona's most anticipated music festival is here, and just looking at the lineup is super exciting. Are you ready for a brief musical journey in the Spanish spring? Let's check in to the city of magical architecture, Barcelona~
1. Sagrada Familia
Look up at the famous landmark spires standing in the capital of Catalonia, see the sunlight shining through the stained glass windows creating rainbows on the ground, and marvel at every inch of detail inside and out, like a dream. The interior of the church is full of natural elements and vibrant life, and climbing the towers offers a panoramic view of the Barcelona cityscape. This is the unfinished masterpiece of the genius architect Gaudí, listed as a World Heritage Site even before its completion.
2. Casa Batlló
A uniquely shaped apartment building located in the discordant district at the center of Barcelona, it is one of the mature works of the Spanish genius architect Gaudí. The entire building's façade is covered with colorful mosaics, and the roof resembles dragon scales, filled with magical colors everywhere.
3. Casa Milà
Casa Milà is one of the masterpieces of the great architect Antoni Gaudí, chosen as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1984, famous for its beautiful stone façade. The open-air terrace of Casa Milà is a symbol of Barcelona where you can enjoy the magnificent city views with a 360º panorama.
In Europe 2024, let's meet in Barcelona and feel the call of the Voice of Spring~
Barcelona | Casa Milà CASA MILà
If your trip to Spain is very short and you can only choose one of Gaudí's three masterpieces, then it must be Casa Milà, which embodies all of Gaudí's design concepts and styles, and is worth exploring in one go.
Casa Milà is the last private residence designed by Antoni Gaudí, a luxury house with six floors of residential space and a top floor, heralding its status as a representative of Spanish Modernism.
But I must say, although Casa Milà summarizes Gaudí's style and offers more spaciousness for appreciation, photo-taking, and better photo outcomes, it indeed lacks the rich and fascinating details found in Casa Batlló.
If you have the time, it's still perfect to visit both~

Straight lines belong to men, curves belong to God - Antoni Gaudi
Gaudi's three-piece set: Casa Batllo, Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila
Value for Money
Hostel was 5 minutes walk to bus station and metro station. Could buy anything conveniently as shops and mini markets are located right below the hostel. Facilities in the hostel works pretty well as nothing was broken. And the best was the price you get for the staying conditions: large space, good location, 24 hour front desk, good facilities, and reasonable pricing. Would definitely stay again!
The otherworldly Casa Mila, Barcelona! 👽🌻
Visiting Casa Milà in December 2023 was a captivating experience, with the iconic Gaudí masterpiece adorned in festive lights, creating a magical ambiance. Exploring its undulating facades and surreal interiors offered a unique perspective on modernist architecture. As 2024 approaches, the allure persists – a perfect time to witness the intersection of history and holiday charm, making it an unmissable destination for architecture enthusiasts and those seeking an enchanting winter escape.
Next year, I would love to visit Budapest!

Nothing is art if it does not come from nature - Antoni Gaudi.
Pere Mila, who hired Gaudi to design Casa Mila, was probably the most fashionable and tasteful rich man at that time, right?
What kind of genius can you think of to build such a whimsical building with such a complex and natural structure?
Gaudi gave us the first climax of our trip to Barcelona.

Casa Mila also known as La Pedrera (the stone quarry – because its rough appearance resembled an open quarry), was built by Antoni Gaudi from 1906 to 1912.
The first location to visit is the iconic roof top terrace of Casa Mila. The roof top terrace of La Pedrera is a distinctly different place altogether. It sort of transports you to a different dimension.
It was such a great learning experience to walk through the apartment at La Pedrera I will definitely recommend this

Gaudi introduced a major innovation into the type of buildings that had gone before, he built two large courtyard to improved lighting and ventilation of all apartments.
The terrace roof is also known as the garden of warriors because of the chimneys resembles warriors and their symbolic guardian role.
Casa Mila was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 for its monumental and artistic character and its universal value. It is one of the Gaudi masterpieces that attached millions of visitors a year.

Casa Mila also called La Pedrera is located at Passeig de Gracia, 92, 08008 Barcelona. The nearest metro stations are Diagonal, L3 and L5 serving this station.
Casa Mila consists of two blocks of apartments, each one with its own entrance.
The fourth floor apartment is now set up as a museum and reflects the lifestyle of a family in the early 1900s. The original ambience is recreated using furniture and household equipments of the time.
Casa Mila was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 for its monumental and artistic character and its universal value. It is one of the Gaudi masterpieces that attached millions of visitors a year.
There are many rooms in the Mira apartment, which are perfectly preserved and presented at the beginning of the building. People have an understanding of aesthetics and architecture, corridors, servants' bedrooms, storage rooms, bathrooms, living rooms and restaurants. It takes about two hours to walk around the six-story building. The annexes of the apartments usually hold some master art exhibitions at the same time, which is also worthy of appreciation.
Some people say that Barcelona is "Gaudi's City", and some people say that Gaudi is "the son of Barcelona." Either way, Gaudi and the city are closely linked. Gaudi left more than 20 works in Barcelona, 7 of which were listed as World Heritage sites. The roof terrace of the
Mira House has 30 peculiar chimneys, 2 vents, and 6 stairways. The tower-shaped stairway has the largest shape and the water tower is hidden inside the spiral ladder. The heights are staggered, and the whole building is like a rough sea. It is very dynamic. The roof is a chimney and ventilation duct made of grotesque abrupt objects. On the roof, a dozen of novel and avant-garde "extraordinary hackers" stand on top of it, coupled with the changing clouds, such as through time and space, presenting a fantastic future world. These strange shapes are actually exhaust pipes or water towers. Gaud will beautify them into a beautiful and can swim place. These strange shaped chimneys and air ducts
This is a masterpiece of Gaudi, with a curved wavy building exterior and an alien-shaped chimney that is the first cognition of each visitor. The reason for me to visit it is simple. Bartello has gone, so let's compare it.
According to a friend who graduated from a building department I know, the home of Mira is a miracle in the construction industry. Every pillar, window and force surface are precisely in place. As a layman, I can only distinguish between beauty and ugliness and style. I personally prefer the home of Mira, why? It has a large area, a good location and an open view. Today, only some of the floors and the top floor of the Mira House are open to the public. The other floors are rented into commercial buildings. We need to take the direct elevator after entering the door. Other floors cannot go.
The Casa Batllo is not far from the Mila House, and there is indeed a connection between them.
The owner of the Mila House, Pere Mira, is a rich man. It is said that when he and his wife visited the Casa Batllo, they envied and decided to build a more amazing building. So he hired Gaudi to pay for it. He designed a special apartment.
Mira House looks like a undulating appearance from the outside. It is a low-key than the Casa Batllo. When you walk into the apartment and look up at the first floor, it is still grounded, but when you walk inside, everything is It looks very weird and even ridiculous. Gaudi believes that this is the best house he has built, because he believes that it is "the most persuasive work that reflects the romanticism and anti-traditional spirit in architecture with naturalistic techniques."
For an ordinary visitor, the best thing about visiting the Mira House is on the roof. The roof of the Mila House is high and low, the walls are rugged, and the undulating curves are everywhere. The whole building is like a rough sea and is full of movement. Gaudi also made some strange-shaped protrusions on the roof of the Mila House, some like sergeants with full armor, some like cute monsters, and some like church bells. In fact, this is just a chic chimney and ventilation duct. In the evening you can see a very beautiful sunset on the roof of the La Pedrera.
After the local tyrant Battelle saw the villa, he invited his local friends to come to the guest every day, and showed off his luxury house by the way. Another local tyrant, the owner of the Mira, saw a special envy and hatred, so he called Gaudi. Let Gaudi design a villa that is more beautiful than the Casa Batll. And before the design, you are convinced that you design according to your idea, I will not interfere with you, the money will be spent, as long as the design of the house is better than the old house of Batalo.
However, he didn't know that Gaudi's design really didn't have drawings and no design. Every day he went to the construction site and couldn't see any famous things. But local tyrants can't talk without saying anything, they can only wait silently. When the mansion was completed, Mila looked at him and was mad at him. He said that he was a good local tycoon. He said that the good and the splendid, the strange wall of the rugged wall is what the ghost, and the roof. A few things that can't tell the unclear, suggesting what?
(Of course it is a chimney, don't even think about it)
Mira and his wife are of course very dissatisfied with this magical house, but Gaudi says this is his most satisfying work. The two later fell out, and the descendants of Mila certainly did not expect that the house would be so valuable, has been used to collect rent, and found that renting less than a few dollars, simply sold directly. I never imagined that this mansion would be so famous. Every day, countless people can receive 22 Euros in one round. It is just lying down and counting money. It is estimated that they are now sure to regret it.
(The above are all nonsense, don't go to the study, lose a serious)
