#London Zoo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
London Zoo
Great zoo, well planned out and loads animals to see. I really liked that most of the animals had free-range pavilions like the monkeys and birds, because I've seen in other zoos cages can be small.
Some of the highlights of my recent visit include the apes, the tigers and lions, and the penguins too. There is plenty of information and talks on the animals, and it’s a surprisingly large zoo considering it’s location.
All the staff were extremely helpful and shared some facts about the animals. Plenty to see here and good facilities, you can even hire mobility scooters. Absolutely great for a day out with kids!

The London Zoo is an exciting and family-friendly destination where you can see a wide variety of animals from around the world. It's a great place for kids and adults alike to learn about different species and their habitats. From majestic lions to playful penguins, the zoo offers a chance to get up close to animals you might not see every day.
However, some enclosures might be smaller than expected, and the popularity of the zoo can lead to crowds during peak times. If you enjoy animals and want a fun and educational outing, the London Zoo could be a memorable experience.

In case of rainy weather, the London Zoo provides indoor enclosures.

London Zoo is a great place to visit with kids and enjoy a family day out. This is the oldest scientific zoo, managed by ZSL (Zoological Society of London) and known as ZSL London Zoo. In addition to the great selection of animals, it also opened the first reptile house, first public aquarium, first insect house (which we are not fans of) and the first children’s zoo. The Zoo is located in the famous Regent’s park offering amazingly decorated gardens and quirky art exhibitions in the park.
We are lucky to call London our home and after many years living here, there are still things to do and places to see within the city’s boundaries. You could say it’s a city breaker’s delight. A city that is ever evolving and ever changing. Always something to see or people to befriend.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Amazing day, so many animals!
Spent 6 hours here, me and my boy (9) really loved it. So many different animals included chances to walk through certain exhibits and be in with the animals. Our favourite was the monkey walkthrough, you can get up close and see the monkeys in action. Staff are all very helpful and friendly, there’s lots of places to eat and drink around the zoo, as well as toilets and places to picnic. 10/10 would recommend.

The staff and zookeepers must be doing a great service. Seeing animals happy is something I love.
Penguins were my favourite, not sure if they understood us but one of them was dancing in front of us (as if it wanted to showcase its talent)
Feel closer to nature at London Zoo, as zoo in the heart of one of the world's most vibrant capital cities. The scenery of the London Zoo is so interesting and wonderful. Especially the male lion is so cool. It is so nice to see many animals such as gorillas. This is the coolest zoo I've ever seen! Being able to see Penguins swimming around is nice and love Fully view 👍👍👍
London Zoo, previously known as ZSL London Zoo or London Zoological Gardens and sometimes called Regent's Park Zoo, is the world's oldest scientific zoo. It was opened in London on 27 April 1828, and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study.
A day in London Zoo…
Anyone visiting London and anyone who’s a animal fanatic should highly consider London Zoo for your day out..
4 hours is all you need to fully experience the Zoo and all its enclosures,
We’re talking Penguins, Lions all the way from India with Famous Heritage to Spiders and Pelicans,
If you’re even more of an avid animal lover you’ll really appreciate being able to go into the enclosures with some animals and insects ( Yes you can actually go into an enclosure with live spiders everywhere ) if this isn’t for you take in the joys of seeing a monkey swing over your head.
Overall I’d definitely allow an extra hour if you plan to stop for lunch at the Cafe as 4 hours is needed for the Zoo#zoo #London #city
London zoo, Its naturally very beautiful.

One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to learn about endangered species and the crucial conservation efforts being made to protect them. The zoo's educational programs and interactive displays offer a fascinating insight into the challenges facing wildlife worldwide, inspiring a sense of responsibility and stewardship.
The zookeepers and staff at London Zoo are true heroes. Their passion for animals is palpable, and they generously share their knowledge with visitors. The daily animal talks and feeding sessions provide a deeper understanding of the animals' behaviors and needs, making the experience both entertaining and educational.

London Zoo for the kid!!!!
London Zoo never failed to excite me. Been here with my kid. This is our second visit. London Zoo is well maintained and clean. The entrance fee is on the higher side but you can get lower price thru travelling apps such as klook or london pass as sometimes they have promotion for the Zoo ticket. There is also activities for kids inside the zoo so they won’t get bored easily.
london zoo is so cool!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting London zoo, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. This zoo has truly set the bar high for wildlife conservation and visitor enjoyment.
First and foremost, the variety of animals at London zoo is astonishing. From majestic big cats to adorable meerkats, and everything in between, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The enclosures are spacious and designed to mimic the animals' natural habitats, making it a joy to watch these creatures in a setting that closely resembles their native environments.
One of the standout features of London Zoo is their commitment to education. The zoo offers informative displays, interactive exhibits, and even guided tours that provide fascinating insights into the world of wildlife conservation. It's clear that the staff here are passionate about their work and dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of preserving our planet's biodiversity.
Moreover, the visitor experience is top-notch. The zoo is impeccably clean, and there are plenty of amenities like restaurants, gift shops, and shaded areas to take a break. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and share their enthusiasm for the animals.
I was particularly impressed with London Zoo's efforts in sustainability. They've implemented eco-friendly practices, such as recycling and water conservation, which align with their mission of protecting the environment.
Overall, London zoo is a gem of a place that combines entertainment, education, and conservation seamlessly. It's the perfect destination for families, animal lovers, or anyone looking for a fun and enlightening day out. I can't recommend it highly enough, and I'll definitely be returning soon to see more of the incredible animals and continue supporting their vital conservation efforts. #zoo

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) London zoo
London Zoo is a fantastic family day out. They have plenty of stuff for children. However I found there were not many animals some places without animals. This could be due to weather as it was hot day many animals were in the shade and we could not see them. Regardless of there the Atmosphere was very nice it was clean and worth going. Despite the ticket is pricey and maybe more worth going with offers so would recommend to shop around and buy ticket before going
