Must visit Ancient Egyptian Temple
#2023TravelWish #vianasjourney #awesomepic
We visited Luxor temple as part of our Nile cruise trip. The Luxor temple is one of the main attractions of Luxor and is located in the middle of Luxor on the east bank of the Nile. The impressive statues and structures definitely makes this place worthwhile to visit. I would recommend visiting the temple during the evening, as the temperature cools down a bit. The lightened up statues during the evening paint an beautiful image. From the Luxor temple it is also possible to take a close look at the Avenue of Sphinxes that connects Luxor temple with the Karnak temple complex.

Luxor temple
Luxor temple is located at Luxor city. There are many people to visit this temple (field trip for children, tourists and local people). There are many students who study about drawing and they are painting the structure of the temple. Their drawings are so beautiful and creative. At the entrance, you can see many birds (I guess they are pigeons) over there,so you can take picture while birds are flying. #mytripvlog #egypt #luxor

Luxor Temple
Luxor Temple is a popular and impressive temple which you should visit if you are in Luxor. Expect to spent between two to three hours in this site. The temple is really well preserved and is a pleasure to see in person. I strongly recommend to visit this place during the day and during the night time, the lights makes the whole place to look stunning. There is no need to hire a guide, however, if you are into egyptian culture and want to know more about the history beahind, then you might need one. Local tour guides are abundant and not too expensive. One advantage is that this place closest very late. It is open to the public until 9:00 PM.

Egypt is a nation filled with open-air museums everywhere!
Driving 500 kilometers from Cairo, you reach Luxor, where the attractions are divided between the East and West Banks. A must-experience is the hot air balloon ride at dawn, which only cost us a little over 400 RMB for two people, making it the cheapest hot air balloon ride in the world. After landing on the West Bank, you can continue to visit the Temple of Habu and the Valley of the Kings, which are very conveniently located. The main attractions on the East Bank are the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple. The Karnak Temple is the prototype for temple parkour, remember to go in the morning, or else the huge columns will quickly be out of light; the Luxor Temple can be visited in the afternoon and evening, as it is lit up at night, creating a mysterious atmosphere.
West Bank: Temple of Habu, Valley of the Kings
East Bank: Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple

Missing the Luxor Temple is like missing the whole world
Egyptians often say: "If you haven't been to Luxor, you haven't been to Egypt!" The Luxor Temple was built by the nineteenth pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of ancient Egypt, and its grand project is breathtaking! When it comes to Egypt, you might think of the pyramids first, but the pyramids are just relics of the old dynasty around the 26th century BC, and the relics of the Middle and New Kingdoms are concentrated in Luxor.
Luxor Temple, a city in the south-central part of Egypt, is located on the banks of the Nile in Upper Egypt, more than 670 kilometers south of Cairo, and is located on the ruins of the southern half of Thebes, the capital of the Middle and New Kingdoms of ancient Egypt. The most eye-catching in the Luxor ruins are the Karnak Temple (karnaktemple) and Luxor Temple (luxortemple) on the east bank of the Nile.
Luxor has become a modern tourist city, a tourist attraction in Egypt, where there is a festive and cheerful atmosphere, the temple in the city center has marked Luxor with a special mark, every year there are hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world.
Egyptians often say: "If you haven't been to Luxor, you haven't been to Egypt" The Luxor Temple is less than a kilometer from the Karnak Temple and was built in the 14th century BC. The temple includes courtyards, halls, and side halls.
The courtyard has double rows of stone columns in the shape of bundled papyrus (note: papyrus is a kind of water grass for papermaking in ancient Egypt), the top of the column is in the shape of an umbrella flower, very beautiful. Outside the temple wall is another courtyard built during the reign of the nineteenth dynasty pharaoh Ramses II, where you can see the tall, relief gate and the popular obelisk at the time.

Stepping into the ancient Egypt in history books
Never thought that one day I could touch the pyramids of five thousand years, the golden mask Pharaoh Tutankhamun, Cleopatra of Egypt, these people and things that only appear in movies and history textbooks.
Until standing in the products of thousands of years of civilization, it still feels unreal. The civilization and people of a thousand years ago leap on paper and in carvings. Even though humans have entered the web 3.0 era, the architectural and artistic achievements of that time are still incredible feats today.
I can't believe that thousands of years ago, without iron tools, relying only on stone tools, people were able to complete the construction of giant pyramids and obelisks hundreds of meters high by chiseling and hammering stones.
The main tourist spots in Egypt are centered around Cairo and are divided into three lines:
1. South line: Luxor Aswan Temple, tomb line
The most popular route with the most tourists in Egypt, the essence of ancient Egyptian civilization along the Nile River, a large number of exquisite temples, Abu Simbel, Valley of the Kings (Pharaoh's tomb group), hot air balloons, Nile cruise ships are all on this line, and it is also a disaster area for tourists being scammed.
2. East line: along the Red Sea
Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Mount Sinai, a paradise for diving enthusiasts, the cheapest place in the world for diving certification, OW+AOW around 35💲
3. North line: Mediterranean, Siwa Oasis
- Far away from the scamming south line, the north line is the pure land of Egypt
- The homeland of Cleopatra, where ancient Egyptian civilization was gradually eroded by ancient Rome, Alexandria
- The Tiffany blue glass sea Matruh, which is more beautiful than the Red Sea
- Far away from mainland Egypt, the lost desert oasis Siwa in Assassin's Creed Origins (palm groves, Sahara desert, salt lakes, hot springs, Berber mud houses Shali, flamingos)

Amazing Luxor Temples and Tombs
#wecreate #luxormuseum #egypt #temple #valleyofthekings Truly amazing place, I highly recommend taking a tour guide as just looking at the ancient Tombs will not give you a full taste of the place. A must is also to take a boat trip at river Nile preferably at sunset as the views are truly amazing and you will not spend a fortune to do so. Stainberger hotel offers fantastic deals with free room upgrades and you will find your piece of mind there with a decent selection of restaurants offering a variety of tasty food.

You should go to the Luxor Temple in Egypt to take a look, where there are well-preserved reliefs of Cleopatra.
The Luxor Temple is now open for visits during both day and night. The first and second photos shared with everyone are to remind us to wear socks and protect the ancient Egyptian ruins together.
Egypt | Luxor Temple
🛕The Luxor Temple is located on the east bank of the Upper Nile River, more than 670 kilometers south of Cairo, and is situated on the southern half of the ancient city of Thebes, which was the capital of both the Middle Kingdom and the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt. The most striking monuments in the Luxor complex are the Karnak Temple on the east bank of the Nile and the Luxor Temple. Luxor has become a modern tourist city and a popular tourist destination in Egypt.
🕌The Luxor Temple proves the glory of Luxor's past. It was built by Amenhotep III, the 19th pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of ancient Egypt, to worship the sun god Amun, his wife, and son, the moon god. Later, it was expanded by Ramses II in the late 18th dynasty, forming the scale that remains today.
🛤️This nearly 3-kilometer-long Avenue of Sphinxes connects the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple. During the annual Opet Festival, Egyptians parade along this road and reenact the statues of Amun and Mut with symbolic marriages. At the Luxor Temple, Amun magically transforms into the god of fertility - Min.
🗼In front of the Tower Gate, there were originally two square obelisks. The one that still exists is 25 meters high, weighs 254 tons, and is made of red granite. The one on the right is 22.5 meters high, weighs 227 tons, and was moved to the Concord Square by the French in 1835.

The charming morning of Luxor.
In the morning of Luxor, the sun is shining, and hot air balloons on the other side of the Nile rise with the sun. The Luxor Temple in the morning feels completely different from the night tour yesterday. The soft sunlight shines on the columns, presenting a beautiful three-dimensional light at different levels. Luxor Temple
Luxor Temple is located on the east bank of the Nile River in Luxor, Egypt, which was the capital city of Thebes during the New Kingdom period of ancient Egypt. It was built around the 14th century BC.
The Luxor Temple has two main functions. Firstly, it celebrates the Opet Festival here every year on Egypt's New Year. Statues of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu are carried on stretchers from the Karnak Temple 2.5 kilometers away to the Luxor Temple. Initially, the festival was celebrated for 11 days, but later extended to 27 days. The stretchers of Mut and Khonsu are carried to the small temple behind the Colonnade Hall, while only the stretcher of Amun is carried to the Sanctuary.
The second function is the combination of the pharaoh and his divine aura. Every year on New Year's Day, the pharaoh must combine with his sleeve aura, which is part of his mythological ritual. This ritual was first performed when he ascended to the throne.
Touring Luxor Temple at night is recommended you can see the treasures in a cooler temperature. Be prepared for crowds. The statues look so magestic with the lights. Cost for Egyptian Nationals is less than for foreign visitors, just so your prepared to see different tickets. #wintergetaway

At night it is cooler to tour this Temple than during the daytime, but it is also very crowded. I did not realize that there had been/still is a mosque onsite. It was built on top of the ruins and was renovated when they started excavation of the Temple. #wintergetaway
#wintergetaway
At Luxor Temple in Egypt you can still see parts of a fresco of the disciples in the temple walls and how a doorway was converted to become part of a Coptic Church. The Christians used it for worship many years after it fell out of use with the Egyptians.
#wintergetaway
Luxor Temple can be toured best at night and this is more comfortable than during the heat of the day. The columns are so large and you are amazed at how they are still standing thousands of years later. #wintergetaway
#wintergetaway
Night tour of Luxor Temple, strolling with countless curiosity, my and my little friends are shocked, it is difficult to describe their inner shock with words, like walking through the tunnel of 5,000 years, or not only It is only 5,000 years, constantly changing the mysterious unknown, tempting yourself to continue deeper and farther and farther away from the world.
Two giant Ramses II sitting at the end of the colonnade, like a guardian, is also a kind of propaganda, proclaiming that he is the embodiment of God's incomparable respect and superb authority.
Luxor Temple, said to be the residence of Egypt's AMENENOET, is also the storage place of the Amon god in the Opett festival. Amon Hoptt III extended a temple built earlier by Hatshepsut and dedicated this majestic temple to Amon as its private residence in the southern part of the Amon. Centuries later, Egypts Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Alexander and many Roman kings expanded it. The Opert Festival is the most important religious festival of the year in Thebes and Egypt. At that time, the statues of the gods of Abyss, Mutter and Hongsu will be moved from the Kernak Temple to the Temple of Luxor in the escort of the fleet, from the Luxor Temple. The reliefs on the colonnade of Amenhotep III can be seen, the statues are carried by the priests along the lion's avenue, and the ceremony shows the prestige of Pharaoh in the eyes of the Egyptians and the king of the gods. "Amon's close relationship.
The Luxor Temple has always had a supreme religious status in the history of ancient Egypt. This is an epic palace completed by a number of pharaohs. The final finisher, Ramses II, left the most in the temple. Imprint. The
temple has a huge tower gate. On both sides of the tower gate is the scene of Ramses II recruiting the army to drive the Kadashi stone. The hieroglyphics above record his deeds of Kadesh and the decisive victory.
Going inside is the first courtyard built by Ramses II, surrounded by 74 closed papyrus columns on two sides, with 16 statues of Pharaoh in the middle of the pillar.
The first courtyard is followed by a colonnade built by the young Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The colonnade consists of 7 pairs of papyrus bales with walls on both sides.
After the colonnade, you came to the Great Column Hall built by Pharaoh Amenhotep III (the prototype of the statue of Mennon) of the Eighteenth Dynasty. In the vestibule of the Great Column Hall, there were 32 papyrus closed columns, which were used to hold the Pharaoh's assault ceremony.
When the new Pharaoh was enthroned, the statue of Pharaohs card (representing the god of Pharaoh) was carried to the pillar hall of the Luxor Temple. After the special ceremony, Pharaoh and his card were combined. It became a "god" and Pharaoh also had a "divineness." This religious ritual with God's pharaoh's imperial power lasted for three thousand years from Pharaoh's rule until the end of the Alexander era.
No matter which direction you pass, you will not miss the magnificent Luxor Temple, which is located in the middle of the ancient Egyptian Sphinx Avenue, connecting the Karnak Temple and Habu City on both sides. If you have come from Cairo before, then you will have the feeling of reaching Egypt at the moment you enter the Luxor Temple, because this is the place where the ancient Egyptian ruins are most concentrated. Visiting the Luxor Temple is recommended to come at night, this is also the only temple to open the night. Reflecting the moonlight, passing through the thick wall of Ramses II, it feels like a time and space shuttle, the night tour of Luxor Temple is still a flavor.
The Luxor Temple is located in the city of Luxor. Compared to the extreme urban layout of Cairo, Luxor is more comfortable as a tourist city. Luxor people do not necessarily look friendly, but it is probably a casual atmosphere. They look like More calm. The Luxor Temple is right next to the downtown area, and there seems to be no barrier to the shopping street. The huge colonnade is extremely unique from the outside. The broken stone carvings in the Luxor Temple are full of Egyptian style, and although broken, they still carry the beauty of the lines. This temple is an affiliated temple of the Temple of Amon, so there is a Sphinx Shinto road to the Karnak Temple at its main entrance. It is still well preserved and has to be renewed. The colonnade of the
temple is somewhat different from the Temple of Karnak. It has some textures like the pillars of the Gothic church, but it still supports the beams and columns. Although it enriches the sense of the picture, I don't quite understand why it is done, but it is a unique landscape. The interesting thing about this temple is that there is a Roman Catholic god, and there is indeed a Madonna. Here. More interesting is that there is an Islamic mosque on the left side of the entrance.
