Ceking Rice Terrace 😍
#balitrip
We loved this place - it's so beautiful and amazingly accessible. We just drove, stood by the side of the road and went for a walk. The gentlemen who sold us the indicators also helped us park. At the end of our walk, we sat down and saw the entire space of the balcony and drink coffee. Really nice...
We stopped here during a private all-day car tour around Ubud. We had lunch down the street and we can walk. The scene is stunning, walking through the stands was amazing. I had a real sense of how downsided the stands were after walking down and then up! It wasn't very crowded but I can see that it got busy and not fun because the paths are tight, like bridges and some lanes.
The view on the cedar terraces is amazing (as long as the weather is good) it can get very crowded here because it is definitely in Bali’s itinerary “I have to get my Instagram story” but nevertheless, it’s worth the trip. It's about 20 - 30 minutes by car from Ubud and you don't need to spend a lot of time here. Unless you want the picture on the swing with the dress etc etc. There are plenty of other less-worthy photo opportunities on Insta that were free when you were there and if you want to spend more time – go down to the stands – a lot of locals working as guides to show you more.

Ceking Rice Terrace is a great stop if you’re out for the day or on a private/self-directed tour. It cost 45,000 Indonesian rupiahs or about US$2.7 to walk on. The location is not very large, making walking in its entirety manageable even in heat. It’s a decent mix of tourism yet still retains its natural beauty, which means you can enjoy some fun comforts such as swings or symbolic lines while still seeing step fields. If photos are your thing, you won’t find a shortage of great dots for some excellent shots. There is a good selection of moisturizers as well. I definitely recommend walking the whole site as it won't take long, and you'll enjoy all the views on offer. Worth a visit
This place is very beautiful and it is good to see how they grow rice in layers. When we were there we were watching some workers prepare some areas where they would grow more, very cool. The view here is beautiful and very comfortable and quiet just to be there with the greenery around you. We went through a dry period, so it wasn't as green as I thought, but it was still nice. It’s a bit touristy, with pictures on the swing. But I chose to ride a bike on the tight rope, very scary at first, but worth watching. I definitely recommend visiting this place

Best Place for ‘Bali Swing’
Tegallalang Rice Terraces is a very popular tourist spot in Bali for its sweeping views of the rice fields. It is a fantastic place for taking photos and having a walk around the rice fields itself. Every spot at this place was incredibly instagrammable. It is also a popular spot for the famous ‘Bali Swing’ where many come to take a heart stopping swing up over the terraces for that perfect shot. There are lots of stairs to get down to the rice terraces and lots of walking around so do wear comfortable shoes. If you’re tired, there are many cafes that line the street to stop for some food and drinks. Best way to get here would be to hire a car and driver as it is the most fuss free way. Definitely check out this place when you’re in Ubud or Bali.

Bali is a paradise for nature lovers, offering a wealth of natural wonders that will take your breath away. From pristine beaches to lush rainforests, the island is a treasure trove of natural beauty that must be seen to be believed.
One of the highlights of my trip to Bali was visiting the Tegalalang Rice Terraces in Ubud. The rice paddies are a marvel of engineering and have been cultivated for centuries by Balinese farmers. The sight of the terraced fields stretching out into the distance is truly awe-inspiring, and it's easy to spend hours wandering through the rice paddies and taking in the stunning views.
Another must-see attraction in Bali for nature lovers is the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary.
Located in the heart of Ubud, the sanctuary is home to a large population of macaque monkeys and is set amidst a lush forest that is a haven for wildlife. Visitors can watch the playful monkeys swing from tree to tree and interact with each other in their natural habitat.
For those who love the ocean, Bali has some of the best beaches in the world, such as Nusa Dua and Kuta. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and surfing, while the soft sand is ideal for lounging in the sun and soaking up the tropical ambiance.
Finally, Bali is also home to a number of natural hot springs, such as the Banjar Hot Springs in the north of the island. These hot springs are surrounded by lush vegetation and are a great way to relax and rejuvenate after a long day of exploring the island's natural wonders.
Overall, Bali is a dream destination for nature lovers, offering a wealth of natural attractions that are sure to leave you in awe. Whether you're exploring the rice terraces, interacting with the monkeys, or soaking in the hot springs, Bali is a magical place that will leave a lasting impression on your heart and soul. #bali #beachlife
Greeny Tegallalang
#bali
our second day was well spent at Tegalalang Rice Terrace. from our villa in Seminyak it was only around 40km but unfortunately the journey which suppose to be around 1 hour 40 mins turned out to be around 2 hour and a half. Bali was in majir bad traffic on that day. so it was tiring in the van
However upon reaching the place in Tegallalang, we forgotten our tiredness. That place was so green, vast and so serene. My pictures didnt do justice but enjoy the ones i have here.
Anyway, if u step foot at Tegallalang and wish to walk around the area, you have to pay around 25,000 rupiah equals to RM 7.30.

Balinese dreams are made of strolling down gorgeous beaches, tasting flavourful food, watching the fascinating ceremonies, hearing the waterfalls, gazing over breathtaking landscapes and above all, admiring mesmerising views of some of the best rice fields in Asia.
Bali’s rice fields will stunned you and no matter how many you’ve already seen, there’s no such thing as an overdose of rice terraces.
Scenic Tegallalang rice terrace in Bali
One of the most beautiful attractions in Bali is located in Ubud, in the centre of the island. For early birds, try and get there early to see the sunrise over the terrace, adding a greater mystique to the view.
It has become a hot destination for social media influencers that love taking photos on the swings over the terrace. You can also take your pictures there for a small fee.
rice rice baby
Beautiful place, recommended highly to visit. You can walk around and through the rice terraces, go down and up and take in the stunning views. Beautiful plants, not just rice, and insects and several activities, like swings on the edge and zip line or biking on a line over the valley.
They also got zip-lines here. And, best of it all it is not a company having it, but the local village and the money goes to the village for their ceremonys.

Cascading Rice Terraces in Bali
#2023travelwish
Spotlight on Ubud, Bali. Located in the northern central part of the island of a thousand gods, Ubud features amazing local Balinese culture, tradition, and arts.
One of the most famous attractions in Northern Ubud is the Tegallalang Rice Terrace in Gianyar. Located about a 90 minute drive from the tourist areas of Kuta/Seminyak/Canggu, many people flock to the terraces as they really are a sight to behold! It was extremely relaxing to gaze at the lush greenery and satisfying levels of rice terraces cascading down.
Tips:
1. Chill at one of the many bars hanging over the rice terraces. They provide much better (and free!) photo opportunities than paying to pose in a nest/on a swing.
2. If you want to trek through the terraces, wear covered shoes and avoid going during or after rain.
3. As of November 2022, there is an IDR10.000 entrance fee to trek the terraces.
4. The carparks are steep, so probably not wheelchair/elderly friendly.
5. Dedicate a whole afternoon to the rice terraces, and be sure to hire a driver to get there. Do not ride a scooter if you are not confident with the traffic conditions (intense!).
Overall, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Worth the time and visit, so do get as many pics as you can!
And my travel wish for 2023? Well.. I want to check out something similar! Definitely the Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao, the Philippines 😍😍

Experience at Tegallalang Rice Terraces
#bucketlistreboot
The Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud are famous for their beautiful scenes of rice paddies and their innovative irrigation system. Known as the subak, the traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system is said to have been passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the 8th century. Tegallalang forms the 3 most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud's shared region, with the others being in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan.
The Tegallalang rice terraces alone offer a scenic outlook that spreads down before you and away to the far side of the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it’s a well-known spot for tourists to stop and take photos.
Gorgeous Ricefields(Tegalalang)
Tellalaland Rice Fields is very close to Ubud Village. Assuming I have no traffic, you can go by motor in about 15-20 minutes. Looking at the Rice Fields from above, a truly magnificent view emerges. When you come here, you can do trekking after paying a small entrance fee, so you have the opportunity to take a closer look at the rice fields. When you come here, I would definitely recommend you to have your freshly squeezed juice or your meal on the Terrace with the magnificent view. Of course, the most important thing to do is Bali siwinings. Swinging with this view is really amazing, unless you are afraid of heights :) It was one of my favorite places in Bali, I would definitely recommend you to come.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace - Bali, Ubud
The Tegalalang Rice Terrace is definitely one of the most beautiful places to visit in Bali. Over there, you can witness firsthand the beautiful green rice paddies stretching on for what seems like an eternity. It is truly a sight! The rice terrace is the Cultural Landscape of Bali Province UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Once you are at Tegalalang Rice Terrace, you can enjoy the view from on top (truly an amazing sight). You might want to take note that it is also possible to hike down and walk up on the other side again, but this would take quite some time. It is probably more advisable and recommended to hike down. Please set aside ample time to explore this beautiful place. You will probably need 30 minutes to 1.5 hours to explore every corner of the area and to take nice photographs. Also, as it might be quite hot in the summer, do make sure to take water and sunscreen!
