Taipei: Yangmingshan/Beitou Hot Springs, wait until the cherry blossoms are in full bloom
Taipei: Yangmingshan/Beitou Hot Springs, wait until the cherry blossoms are in full bloom
Taipei Citywalk, start a day of admiring cherry blossoms at Yangmingshan, experiencing Beitou Hot Springs, and checking in at Taipei 101. Yangmingshan is Taipei's backyard, and every year from February to March is the season of blooming flowers, with colorful azaleas and early cherry blossoms competing for beauty. By the end of February, the Yaezakura cherry blossoms are blooming competitively, and when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the misty clouds surround the green hills, and soaking in a sulfur hot spring is like a springtime encounter.
🌸 Flower Viewing Spots:
Yangmingshan Flower Clock (Pic 2-7)
Yangmingshan Fountain (Pic 1)
Yangmingshan Second Parking Lot (Pic 9)
🚍 How to get there:
Take the small 8 bus from the Jiantan MRT station, or take the 129/small 9 bus from the Beitou MRT station to reach the above flower viewing spots.
📝 Flower Viewing Tips:
1⃣ The Yangmingshan Flower Clock is planted along the stream with colorful azaleas, which bloom at the end of February together with the early cherry blossoms, creating a layered effect.
2⃣ The Yangmingshan Fountain is tightly surrounded by Yaezakura cherry blossoms, resembling light pink clouds, and the combination with the fountain is very photogenic.
3⃣ The cherry blossoms at the Second Parking Lot bloom earlier, and by the time of visit, it is nearing the end of the flower season.
4⃣ The bus schedule provided by Google Maps for the Yangmingshan area is not accurate; wait for the bus based on the electronic display.
5⃣ Yangmingshan also has other nice attractions such as Xiaoyoukeng and Qixing Mountain (my visit failed due to heavy fog at the mountain top). You can take the 108 bus (circular mountain bus) from the Yangmingshan bus terminal, but pay attention to the schedule as there are not many buses.
♨️ Beitou Hot Springs:
Yangmingshan is an active volcano with abundant geothermal resources. The hot springs in the Beitou area are natural green sulfur springs, which are said to contain trace amounts of radium and have healing effects, one of only two in the world. In addition to hot spring hotels, you can also choose specialized hot spring shops. I chose the 'Emperor Pool Hot Spring Royal Meal Pavilion', which can be reached by the small 8/small 9 bus. The hot spring is located in the sulfur stream of Yangmingshan, surrounded by numerous spring eyes steaming with sulfur vapor. After soaking in the sulfur spring, the skin really becomes more delicate, worth a try.
⭕️ The private bathhouse requires at least two people (500 Taiwan dollars), with a 30-minute limit on holidays and 40 minutes on weekdays; the public pool is not time-limited (250), and the locker requires a 20 coin.
❗️ If you choose the mixed public pool, bring a swimsuit.
‼️ There is a restaurant inside, and if you spend more than 400 on a meal, you can soak in the public pool for free.
🗻 Sulfur Valley:
After soaking in the hot springs, I checked in at Sulfur Valley (Pic 10-11), a 15-minute walk from the Emperor Pool Hot Springs. A large amount of sulfur vapor spews from the ground, accompanied by boiling and erupting spring water, making a hissing sound, a spectacular scene.
🏢 Taipei 101:
After the tour, I checked in at several classic spots of Taipei 101.
1⃣ Takeuchi Izakaya (Pic 12-13), walk south for 10 minutes from Exit 2 of the Xiangshan MRT station to compress the towering skyscraper and old house into one picture, creating a beauty of old and new integration.
2⃣ Xiangshan (Pic 14-16), enter the mountain from the 'Xiangshan Trail' entrance on Google Maps, choose the right path at the first fork, and reach the photography platform in 15 minutes. But it is recommended to continue walking up for 10 minutes to the Six Giant Rocks viewing platform, where the view is more open. The mountain trail is all stone steps with handrails and street lights, making climbing effortless.
Getting There - Take the metro (red line) to Xiang Shan station followed by a short walk to the entrance of the hiking trail
Attractions - View of Taipei 101, other artifacts along the way while on the trail.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Xiangshan - Elephant Mountain, Taipei
Xiangshan or Elephant Mountain is located in Taiwan and very famous for its Night of City. It can be reached by Subway and walkable from metro status. Mountain hiking point is clearly marked from the Subway station. One you reach at the hiking point it takes 1-1.5 hrs to reach the top. From Top you can get of beautiful Taipei City with Taipei 101. In night view looks more beautiful with lights on. There are various view point on XiangShan. People usually go there in 4-5 pm so that they can get both day and Night view. The best hiking place in Taipei
Probably the best and easiest hiking trails in Taipei. Very easy to reach by public transportation - it's the last stop of the MRT red line (Xiangshan Station). And short walk around 10-15 minutes and you can start your hiking. I usually finish it in 1,5-2 hours with a break of 10-20 minutes on the top. Because on the top of Xiang Mountain you can see a wonderful view of Taipei.

There are many good places where you can watch the night scene in Taipei. “Xiangshan” is one of them. The mountain is not very high and there are various natural landscapes and historical sites that you will pass while climbing the mountain. Most importantly, the night view of Taipei is breath-taking. With a panoramic view, the Taipei 101 building is just around the corner, overlooking the city of Taipei. The chessboard-style road system, the staggered towers, the green star-shaped park belt and the endless stream of traffic can be clearly seen. Come and experience Taipei’s beauty!

The first day of the new year, a perfect sunset in Taipei like Taipei Xiangshan. Overlooking the panoramic view of Taipei Witnessing the lights of 101, waiting for an unexpected sunset and sunset in the cloudy sky. The beauty of travel always comes from an unexpected encounter.
It is said that this is the best place to watch the 101 building and even the whole of Taipei. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the whole city of Taipei. Ascend to the top of the mountain, you can see the 101 building and overlook the Taipei Basin. The scenery is excellent and it is a good place to climb the city.
Xiangshan is named for its resemblance to an elephant. There are also Lion Mountain, Tiger Mountain and Leopard Mountain around, and quite interesting "Four Beasts". Xiangshan is not too high, but also because it is close to downtown Taipei, so it is also a good location for shooting 101 buildings. Along the trail, picking up the stairs, there will be a forked intersection. I am going up from the left side and there is a rest pavilion in the middle. I will meet many Taipei citizens to exercise here and watch the scenery. Going up, there are many gathering places for photographers and tourists. Many people are here with a tripod to enjoy the photography and wait for the sun to fall. The
Xiangshan Trail is well-built and there are commentary monuments along the way to help visitors understand the cultural background of the mountain. The scenery of the 101 building in the evening of
evening is very beautiful, and there are very few people, and it feels good.
Tickets: Free
Opening time: All day
【Taipei】Elephant Mountain
Elephant Mountain is full of elephant statues.
I was invited by a friend and followed without much thought, but it turned out to be quite a climb...
Just when I thought we must be nearing the summit, the endless stairs proved otherwise... We took different paths for the ascent and descent.
Next time, I wonder if I can go to see the night view.
I climbed in the morning, but there were quite a few people doing the same.
Location: 110 Taipei City, Xinyi District

Xiang Mount in Taipei
Such a wonderful sunset view in Taipei.
Hiking up the mountain at around 6.00 PM, you can watch the sunset in Taipei viewing the iconic Taipei 101 building. This spot was not crowded 5 years ago when I first visited Taiwan. But nowadays, it become one of the attractive destinations in Taipei. The mountain is less than 200m high but I’m sure it will take you a lot of sweat kkk. However, it worths the time and effort of yours.#taipei #taipei101
Come to Taipei to climb Xiangshan, invincible Taipei sunset and night scenery!
Taipei is a small fortune in everyone's mind. Therefore, Taipei attracts a lot of people. There are many places to go to Taipei to punch cards. But for me who like photography, Taipei Xiangshan is the favorite.
Look at the best location of Taipei city scenery and night view is not 101, but Xiangshan, do not accept rebuttal! !
Xiangshan is located in the Xinyi District of Taipei City, close to the Taipei 101 Building. Xiangshan is part of the southeastern hills of the Taipei Basin. It is named after the mountain shape like a mountain. The top of the mountain is 183 meters above sea level. Due to its proximity to downtown Taipei, it has convenient transportation and good visibility. It has become an important leisure place for Taipei people. Although the mountain is not high, but there is no barrier before, the Taipei Basin is unobstructed, and it is a good base for ascending.
Transportation:
MRT: 1. Take the MRT Freshwater Xinyi Line and get off at Xiangshan Station. Walk to Zhongqiang Park in the 5th section of Xinyi Road. 2. Take the MRT Bannan Line and get off at Yongchun Station. Walk to Yongshan High School in Songshan Road.
Buway: Take bus 33, 46, 207, 612, 621, 277, and get off at Xinyi Administrative Center Station, or take bus 33, 299 and get off at Yongchun High School Station. .
Xiangshan has three viewing platforms, and the viewing angles are very good.
15 minutes from the foot of the mountain is the first viewing platform. The most tourists here, often occupied by "long guns and short guns", it is difficult to insert.
The second six-stone observation deck is the best place to take a photo, especially at sunset. There are relatively many seats here, but good positions often need to be queued.
Continue to the third viewing platform, the place is large, there are fewer tourists, you can concentrate on shooting the night scene without being disturbed, suitable for photography enthusiasts.
As night falls, the night scenes of Taipei are especially beautiful when the buildings are lit. As time goes by, the crowd slowly disperses the platform is personal.
Backlight is suitable for shooting silhouettes, you can try!
Tips:
The mountain must be accompanied by mosquito repellent water, definitely oh, sure! If you are not afraid of being close to mosquitoes, please ignore them.
The mountain road is steep, avoiding the elderly and children.
Uphill is easy to go downhill, there are fewer street lights down the mountain, pay attention to safety under the foot, especially rainy days!
Climb the Xiangshan without tickets!
At the top of the summit, you can look at the 101 building in the distance. It takes about an hour or so to climb up. The number of people who came to take pictures when we went was not much. I wanted to take advantage of the sunset and watch the night scene, but there are too many mosquitoes! I have been bitten a lot of bags on my legs and arms. I feel like a group of small mosquitoes follow me when I climb down the mountain, so I summed up the experience: dont wear shorts and climb with all the flowers.

Many friends choose to go to Taipei for the New Year and ask me where to look at Taipei's night scene is the most beautiful! That must be Xiangshan, Xiangshan.
Xiangshan is located on the west side of the Nangang Mountains on the eastern edge of the Taipei Basin. It is named as the mountain because of the mountain shape. The top of the mountain is 183 meters above sea level. Although it is not high in height, it is close to the urban area of Taipei. It has convenient transportation and good vision, and it has become one of the preferred viewing spots for tourists.
tips:
1) Xiangshan is free
2) You can reach the foot of the mountain by the MRT
3) Walk to the top of the mountain for about 30 minutes
4) There are few street lights, it is recommended to stay together.
5) There are mosquitoes, pay attention to prevent bites.
On a sunny day, hiding in Eslite and blowing down the comics that are invisible to the mainland is the correct way to open the Bay, and buying the CDs and tapes of Mayday is bringing them back to their homes.
Race against the sun, climb up to Xiangshan to meet the setting sun, and stay in Taipei for a night in the sunset. I am very excited to go to the freshwater beach 30 kilometers away to eat late at night. The trip to Taiwan is perfect in the cool breeze of fresh water.
Fortunately, the days that have come to Taiwan have been clear and clear, and with the typhoon just passing by, the whole city is so temperaturey, then plan to climb the mountain together!
I have seen the building of 101 high-rise building. You will find that there is another point in Taiwan that overlooks the building. You need to climb to the highest point, step by step, and get closer and closer. This place is like a mountain.
