Our first trip to Bintan Lagoi was truly memorable, and our stay at Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Lagoi Bay made it even more special.
From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome at the Emerald Class lobby. The bellboy greeted us with such energy and friendliness—it immediately set a positive tone for our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that complimentary shuttle service is provided for all guests, which made getting around very convenient. The hotel is also just about 10 minutes from the ferry terminal, making it easily accessible.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed with genuine smiles by the reception team. The check-in process was smooth, fast, and efficient. Our room was clean, comfortable, and offered a beautiful view of Lagoi Beach.
The hotel amenities were impressive for a 4-star property. We especially enjoyed the huge family pool, the 24-hour gym, and the convenience of 24-hour room service. The pricing was also very reasonable for the quality of stay provided.Location is great near to the beach and Lagoi Bay plaza.
Food at Rempah Kitchen was definitely one of the highlights. The local Indonesian dishes are a must-try—especially Rawon Sumsum and Gado Gado, which we would rate a solid 9/10. The breakfast spread was good overall, though there’s room for improvement in the Western selections and milkshakes.
We also appreciated the complimentary photo shoot, along with a photo frame to take home as a lovely keepsake.
This is a destination we would highly recommend for both couples and families. The service throughout our stay was truly top-notch.
A special mention goes to Niken at the front desk—she was always smiling, warm, and incredibly service-oriented. The restaurant team and all other hotel staff were equally attentive and welcoming.
Thank you, Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Lagoi Bay, for such a wonderful experience. We truly enjoyed our short stay and look forward to returning again.
Pls be mindful Hotel require deposit 100k IDR. When check out, the hotel will check the room first before u get your deposit back. Need to wait around 10mins. Can say cheap rate hotel with 2 breakfast just around rm125 per night. I chose this hotel bcos i arrived Batam night time, so no need fancy hotel hehe. The hotel is not shoplot hotel, the whole building is the hotel. At night quite noisy, not sure why, maybe there’s event at the ballroom hotel. The toilet room is average (quite smelly maybe bcos old hotel), not suitable for fussy person. Same goes to the bed and bed sheet. But the room is so spacious and have kiblat sign (for muslim prayer). Breakfast spread also average, suitable if you not eat much. But still have egg station. Nasi goreng, meehon goreng, cereals, also have. Overall still ok if you stay 1 night.
What's bad: cleanliness of the room was not great, it smelled a bit... funny? But i was fine with it cos i didn't stay much in the hotel. Room lights are warm and dim so it may be a bit spooky for some but we were fine with it. Breakfast spread were limited and cold.
What's okayish: location is strategic within batam centre, going to the ferry terminal is very near. This is the only hotel i can find that is able to fit 3 pax in a room (1 twin and 1 single bed) so it great for small friends group.
What's great: hotel room is very affordable. Also, there are eateries nearby within walking distance, including popular coffee places, breakfast and lunch places. There are also a few shopping malls nearby with great food veriety. And most importantly the hotel staffs were very friendly and provided great assistance to my queries. This is the best highlight of the stay.
Verdict: if you dont stay in the hotel much, i think this hotel will do the job just fine.
Very efficient and friendly front counter service and there is hotel staff assist in crossing the busy road. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Very convenient location. Will definitely come back if going to Batam.
Amazing Stay at Aston Hotel Batam
Our experience at Aston Hotel Batam was truly amazing. From the moment of arrival, the staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive, always ensuring that every guest felt satisfied and well taken care of. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more memorable.
The breakfast food was exceptional, offering a wide variety of choices to suit every taste. From freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to local Indonesian dishes and international favorites, every item was delicious and beautifully presented. The buffet was well organized, and the staff made sure everything was replenished promptly, creating a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience each morning.
The rest of the food throughout the stay was equally impressive, with so many tasty options to explore. Each meal showcased quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing space to unwind after exploring the city. The location of the hotel was also very convenient—close to many popular tourist spots, making it easy to travel around Batam.
Overall, Aston Hotel Batam exceeded expectations in every way. It’s an amazing place with amazing people. This hotel will definitely be recommended to friends and family planning to visit Batam, Indonesia

This hotel made me feel like I paid for a cheap stay where everything costs extra. It was the first time I've heard of paying extra for early check-in. Eventually, the staff let us check in early when they saw we weren't going to pay. Some staff members were enthusiastic, others were just okay. At the Indigo restaurant, the server rushed us to pay our bill even though it was still during working hours. The kids' play area only allows one adult and one child, which isn't very family-friendly. What, is one parent supposed to sit outside while the other takes the child in? The breakfast tasted alright, but the variety was very limited. Even though there were available tables, the staff wouldn't let us sit there, insisting we sit at a further table, presumably so as not to disturb the foreign guests next to us. Sigh. Overall, it was an okay trip with the kids, but I won't choose this place for a vacation again.
Was given a smoking room while I had requested for a non smoking room in my booking. Had to request for a change of room. Room door was difficult to open despite using two access room cards. Again, had to ask the receptionist to get our room doors settled. So there was some delay before we could really take a rest after a long day. Basic amenities like dental kit, shampoo and body wash were provided. Room was of a pretty decent size. Breakfast was ok and has a Maggie station. It’s just a 5- 10 mins drive to the Batam ferry center.

A nice resort that is not too far from ferry terminal and provide complimentary transfer. While facilities are good but in-house charges are quite high, even more than Singapore. The hotel spa is average despite almost double price else where in Indonesia. The free internet is just pathetic and they force you to buy package if not on good roaming plan.
Stayed at Woda Villa & Spa Batam and had a generally pleasant experience.
Pros:
The location is very convenient, as it’s close to the town area, making it easy to access shops and restaurants options. The 2-bedroom villa is spacious and comfortable, great for families or small groups. Toiletries were also well provided, with sufficient amenities for the stay.
Cons:
The private pool is on the smaller side, which may be a bit limiting if you’re looking to fully relax or swim. There were quite a number of mosquitoes, although the villa does provide repellent which helps. The breakfast buffet spread is also quite limited, so don’t expect a wide variety of options.
Overall:
A good stay for those looking for a spacious villa in a convenient location, but with some minor drawbacks in facilities and dining variety
Decent hotel at a very strategic location. Many surrounding facilities like coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, convenient stores, bakeries, massage parlours, KTVs, and etc. Nearby a large food court called A2 Food Court and shopping malls like Grand Batam Mall and Batam City Square Mall. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Standard room amenities. Lobby looks newly renovated. I believe some further renovation on going for breakfast restaurant and other parts of the hotel. Staffs are helpful like security guy helping with our luggage and receptionist keep us inform as soon as room available for early check-in. Overall, value for money accomodation.

SShanellejjqFrom the check in, to our check out the staff around the resort were all very helpful and smiley. They provided us with helpful advice and recommended activities to do in the resort!
Rooms were nice and clean as well and spacious. We also visited the massage in the resort and it was a really good experience!
Lots of things to do around the resort even for adults, we did archery and the instructors were very encouraging and skilled in guiding first timers!
GGoh Zhe LiangWonderful place for family with kids. The front desk will send whatsapp of their activity brochures, both paying and complimentary activities where you can make reservations. Guests have 20% discount as the treasure Bay is also open to outside. You can also call the buggy to pick up from your tent and you can approach the concierge to arrange for activities outside the resort, like booking taxi to shopping mall or the mangrove restaurant which the food was wonderful! You can also book for a private bbq session at your tent from the resort restaurant but best to book a day before.

MMelvyn NgGood and clean hotel! Bed was so soft and good! They serve quite a decent breakfast as well with a live Indomie station 👌 Only issue I have is the shower and bedroom is separated by glass and a translucent curtain! Rather awkward situation… otherwise this hotel is new and great! Will come back again!
GGuest UserI'm giving five stars to the hotel driver, the service was absolutely excellent! You can contact the hotel the day before check-in to arrange a pick-up from the ferry drop-off point, and when you're ready to leave, you can also book a free ride from the hotel to the pier. It's incredibly convenient. We were so lucky to have this driver; he proactively helped us with our luggage, assisted us with our visa on arrival, and even filled out our immigration cards... The service was top-notch! The hotel environment is also fantastic. Everything about this trip was great, apart from the bad weather. I'll definitely be back!
GGuest UserAston Inn Gideon Batam – Great Value Stay
Located in Nagoya, just steps from the market and Batam City Square, the hotel is surrounded by massage parlors, dining options, shops, and beauty services. The twin-bed room is spacious enough for two large suitcases, with handy amenities like toothbrushes, sandals, mineral water, and coffee/tea. Breakfast offers a wide spread — porridge, you tiao, roti prata, nasi lemak, and a live egg station. At around 60 SGD per night, it’s excellent value for the comfort and convenience provided.
GGuest UserWe mostly enjoyed our stay in the suite as it is very new, clean and spacious. Have given it 5 stars for most aspects.
Areas of improvement include having curtains that can block off the motorbike noise as it is very close to the road, and ensuring that the floor trap is cleared. Our shower room got flooded very easily. Additionally, for guests who wish to not be disturbed, the hotel can hang the clean towels and bottled water outside the room, rather than not providing.
GGuest UserWe recently returned from a five-night holiday in Bintan and stayed at your hotel for the last three nights (nights 3, 4, and 5). While we were happy to secure a room for those dates, we encountered two issues during our stay that we feel should be brought to your attention— in the hope that they can be improved for future guests.
1. Room Consistency & Communication
Due to high demand, the same room type we booked for nights 3 and 4 was no longer available for night 5. As a result, we had to book a different room type for the final night, all paid in advance. When we checked in, we explained to the front desk staff that we would prefer to stay in the same room for all three nights, and we were willing to pay any price difference if necessary. The staff member said they would check and get back to us—but we never heard anything further. Admittedly, we also forgot to follow up. However, we assumed that no news meant we could remain in the same room. The next day at noon, we received a sudden call requesting us to check out immediately, which completely disrupted our day’s plans and led to a rushed and stressful move. We even left some personal items behind in the process. In the future, we would greatly appreciate clearer follow-up from hotel staff—whether or not a room change is possible, please confirm with guests either way rather than leaving the matter unresolved.
2. Villa Room Maintenance
On the last night, we moved to a villa. Unfortunately, during our shower we discovered that the drainage system was severely clogged. Water from the shower area didn’t drain properly, and water even backed up from under the sink and around the toilet. This was not only inconvenient, but honestly quite unpleasant. While your staff did eventually help us resolve the issue, it significantly affected our overall experience and left a negative final impression.
We chose your hotel with high expectations and understand that busy periods can lead to service challenges. But with a bit more proactive communication and better room maintenance, we believe the guest experience can be much improved.
Thank you for taking the time to read our feedback.
