A good hotel to have a break from sightseeing and night life. A lot of places around to have a breakfast or snack.
Close to Hamra street
The staff is helpful in almost all aspects
Had a bad luck while going to empty bar on rooftop which actually should be a good place to hang out in the hotel
The hotel I stayed in several years ago, because the economic situation is depressed, the service is slightly worse than before... But the room is still very clean, and the location of the hotel is OK. Breakfast is not good.
Excellent service. The internet didn't work at all on the first day, so we were moved to a room with a better connection (from the 7th to the 2nd floor). The staff is very responsive and always ready to help.
Breakfast is a buffet: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, salami, two types of cereal, two juices, tea, and coffee. They also make flatbreads with cheese and herbs. The first couple of days are great, but then you get tired of it because the main dishes don't change at all, it's always the same. I think some variety would be nice.
The cleaning service is simply excellent! We fly often, usually staying in five-star hotels, and frankly, the cleaning here was truly amazing, a level above many other places. They clean every day.
The rooms are a little dated, but everything you need is there, and, as I mentioned above, they're really clean. The only thing is, you can't walk barefoot on the floor, but otherwise, everything is great.
The first time I stayed, I felt very good, especially the bathroom, the facilities are complete, there is hot water up, this is rare in hotels of the same level in Lebanon, wooden floor, big bed, socket internationalization, very convenient next time I will choose 👍
Adding a few more points to my previous review.
On the morning of my departure, after breakfast, a lady from the restaurant asked me to fill out a survey. I rated the food variety a 7, indicating I wasn't fully satisfied. She then prompted me to specify what I'd like to eat, so I wrote down fried rice and fried noodles. She mentioned that they could actually inform the kitchen to prepare it fresh for me. This genuinely impressed me; the service here is truly exceptional. What a shame it would have to be for a future visit!
One more tip: In Lebanon, there's generally no need to exchange for Lebanese Pounds. Almost all establishments accept US dollars, and often at a more favorable exchange rate than dedicated currency exchange booths.
One peculiar observation: when using Uber in Lebanon, drivers frequently demand an additional fee on top of the app's quoted price. I've sometimes refused and opted to re-book or find another ride, but there are instances when finding a taxi is difficult, and I've had to reluctantly agree to the surcharge.
Centrally located in Hamra District, supermarkets and restaurants around. The service is average adequate , the place is clean and the Wi-Fi work. Normally for the price I would recommend a short stay. There are many hotels in the hamlet this trip with different standard. I will say this one is above average.
The Lancaster Hotel has always been great, with good customer service, location, hygiene, etc. It has always been my first choice for business trips to Beirut. However, I am very grateful for the thoughtfulness of the customer service staff and the timely response of the front desk during this stay, including the room change. Only the bathroom facilities after the room change were a little unsatisfactory, and the other feelings were almost perfect.
Waited about 30 minutes to check in. After checking in, I found there was no water in the bathroom, so I called maintenance. The tap water had a strange salty taste, and my facial cleanser wouldn't lather. The safe broke twice and wasn't fixed properly either time. The room's soundproofing is terrible; one night, young people in the next room were making noise until 2 AM. I had to call the front desk for help, but then they started up again at 5 AM. The location is in an older central area of Beirut, but now there are many Syrian refugees living there, making it feel a bit dirty and chaotic.

Good
We stayed there for one night. It's a apartment/hotel. The room was a decent size without the kitchenette area. Super clean, friendly and helpful staff as a usual Lebanese hospitality. It's located right in front of Falamanki and Bay Rock restaurant. The location is perfect and close to a lot of place, it takes 12 minutes walk to Hamra Street.
Xxiongj05Very good, costly performance. Very close to Pigeon Rock attractions, easy to go out! Breakfast service is offered and the waiters are very considerate. They will accompany you throughout your stay! I would stay here again next time!

Room was clean, with comfortable bed and good heating/AC. - Staff at reception spoke English and were helpful with early check-in request. - Breakfast was decent and location was very central, near metro and restaurants. - WiFi worked fine, water pressure in sho
We were welcomed by very friendly staff. The aroma of a fresh and lovely smelling fragrance in the foyer was a nice start. The rooms were clean and modern. Location was amazing close walking distance to Al Rouche had a beautiful sunset view. The beach restaurant was a relaxing atmosphere just sit and enjoy the water view, the food was delicious just took a long time to bring out. Drinks and Shisha in the evening was a nice way to finish off a memorable stay. Unfortunately all the pools were empty would have liked to use them. But definitely would come back and recommend to all our family and friends. Thank you to all the staff and management. ❤️
I've visited Gefinor Rotana in Beirut every time I land in Beirut. It always kept its class. The rooms are always top notch and best view. The reception is also as always excellent, highly trained in hospitality, super helpful and like most Lebanese multilingual. The food and shisha are excellent. Everything at this hotel feels more than a 5 stars hotel. Even the taxi from the hotel to the airport was punctual on the dot (I think the taxi company is called Saad), the reception booked for me a day earlier. It's my go to hotel in Lebanon for the past few years and well always retun back to it.
