The room is clean and tidy. The fixed shower device is damaged, the shower cannot be fixed, and it is not repaired in time. A small cockroach appeared in the room at night. When I went out after 10 am, the door handle hung up the ”Please clean” card, and I returned to the hotel at 5 pm and still did not clean the room.

It was an amazing overall experience. Not enough time to experience everything, like restaurant Raiva, the Spa, exploring the surrounding trails and explore the river by boat. The rooms are incredible, as the breakfast. The architecture and the landscape surroundings are breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and nice. Regarding the breakfast, I was a little disappointed that in our last day, the croissants had ran out and the few last were a little dry compared with the ones we ate in the previous day. Also the outdoor swimming pools were amazing, although the hotel doesn't have enough sun loungers when it's full. Unfortunately we take a boat ride, as the the rates are scandalous overpriced. In the end we enjoyed a lot the experience and would love to come back.

All perfect, cleaning, facilities and, above all, the staff of the hotel, a 10 for them. For putting a but, the variety of buffet, could be wider. The bed was very comfortable and, the large and clean room. Thanks for everything.

+Pos: Friendly and patient staff. Free temporary luggage storage. Decent room size. 50/50: Facilities and room bed in general seems clean, BUT the toilet often has a slight sewage smell. Not sure which part exactly it came from, annoying when you want to take a good bath or a nice sht. -Cons: It named ”hotel and spa”, offering a good variety of facilities BUT note that most of them charge separately (not included in room fee).

A grand hotel in the old style. It was undergoing significant renovation while I stayed, so they're clearly making an effort to remain competitive. Staff was courteous and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was tasty and filling at a good price. All in all an excellent value. My only complaint is the strong musty odor in my room. Fortunately the weather was good so I could open the windows wide, but the hotel really needs to eliminate the source of the smell. I didn't know before visiting Luso that it's famous for the quality of its water. The photo show the spouts in the center of town where locals come to fill their containers.

The hotel offers excellent service and great amenities. I highly recommend the hotel for family or couple trips.

If someone is looking for a non-commercial place, but at the same time warm, friendly and naturally composed, then this is a 100% sure choice: without the advantage of form over substance, excellent cuisine (I recommend buying the HB option, it's worth it!), very friendly staff, no crowds and full harmony with the surrounding nature. The location on the lagoon itself adds an additional touch of nature. Away from the hustle and bustle, without rushing. You may get the impression that time slows down here a bit, or maybe it flows differently?

The hotel service remains 100%. The staff are always helpful and attentive, the breakfast is always very good and varied. The comfort of the room is excellent, as is the cleanliness. The gardens are well-maintained, and the pool and jacuzzi always have warm water. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, with the Caima River right next to the hotel, great for walks or bike rides. In the restaurant, the service has been improving; you no longer have to wait as long to be served as before. As for the quality of the food, in my opinion (since I am a frequent customer of the hotel/restaurant), it is still far below what it once was, which was very good. Overall, for me, the hotel is an excellent place for a relaxing getaway.

The hotel was able to accommodate a slightly early check in. The room itself was clean but the carpet stained. Outdoor pool was under renovations and made use of the indoor pool and hot tub (make sure to reserve a time slot upon check in). There is free parking on the street or in an underground garage that has a very steep ramp. Breakfast was decent and had eggs, mushrooms, sausage, yogurt, and pastries. The coffee could have been better.

The hotel boasts a privileged location. I would have preferred a smaller room as I was traveling alone, and no studios were available when I made the reservation. Otherwise, the apartment was very spacious with a comfortable living-dining area. I'm aware of the hotel's age, which clearly needs a renovation, but this is compensated by the friendly staff, cleanliness, and proximity to the beach. There are very few spaces in the indoor parking, but there's a closed outdoor parking lot right at the hotel entrance. Definitely recommended for families with children.
