Pet Friendly Hotels in Jiangsu, China

This was my second stay, and it was just as great as the first. The hotel is right in the Old East Gate scenic area, surrounded by delicious food, and getting around is super convenient. The service attitude is consistently attentive and thoughtful; they're always ready to answer any questions. Since it was late autumn, they even gave me a beautiful autumn leaf artwork when I checked out, which I absolutely loved!

This pet-friendly hotel comes highly recommended; it truly excels in both aesthetics and quality. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and answered all my questions before check-in. The hotel also provides free self-service washing machines and dryers. While the room space was a bit small, it was perfectly sufficient for us. As soon as I opened the door upon arrival, I was greeted by a lovely scent. The room features voice-activated smart controls – I just had to call ”Xiao An, Xiao An”! It also comes standard with a speaker for music and a projector to watch the latest TV series. It was truly amazing! The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks: Coca-Cola, vitamin drinks, and mineral water, all free to enjoy. What's even more impressive is that the hotel restocks these drinks daily. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. You can walk to Pingjiang Road on the left and Guanqian Street on the right. The Lindun Road subway station is just a three-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient! When we checked out, the front desk proactively offered us two bottles of warm water (as it was cold outside and winter had arrived) and two Starbucks coffee lattes to take with us for the road (all complimentary, which was a huge bonus). Next time I visit Suzhou, I hope to stay longer, and Anshe Hotel will definitely be my first choice!

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect, truly embodying the feeling of 'home away from home'! The location is excellent, making travel convenient yet far removed from the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the lobby, the soft fragrance and warm greetings immediately washed away our travel fatigue. The breakfast selection was extensive, offering both local specialties and fresh fruits with made-to-order dishes, satisfying every palate. From the efficient and professional check-in at the front desk to the proactive assistance provided by staff along the way, every service interaction felt genuine and heartfelt. We felt incredibly comfortable and at ease here, and the value for money was outstanding. We will definitely choose Andu again for our next trip!

This is a great Republic of China-era hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot yet still central. The courtyard is very unique, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's about 800 meters from popular attractions like Geyuan Garden, Heyuan Garden, Dongguan Street, Pishi Street, Dongguan Ancient Ferry, and Xing Street – all within easy reach. There are also plenty of dining options; the famous Erchun Fried Rice is right next door, and old brands like Fuchun Teahouse, Maopailou, and Gonghechun are all nearby. It's incredibly convenient for an after-dinner stroll. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Located at the entrance of a small alley, it's wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. If time permits, brewing a pot of tea and sitting in the courtyard to soak in the 'slow Yangzhou' vibe would be truly delightful!

I booked a king-size room, which was very large, with a separate wet and dry bathroom and a balcony. The breakfast was rich in variety, with both Chinese and Western styles. The hotel is garden-style, and the lotus flowers are blooming beautifully in this season, making for great photos. The hotel's outdoor pool is also very beautiful, and you can experience it with your children. The hotel service is also very good, with enough mineral water in the room, and a housekeeper to greet them attentively. When I left, they also gave me a beautiful notebook. The service was very considerate and the price was very affordable. It is worth staying here next time.

The disposable toilet seat cover was already torn open, and there were no bath towels (I don't remember if the hotel had any environmental protection notes), thankfully I brought my own. After two days and one night, we went back around 7 am after having dim sum, only to find we had to re-enter our room card. Climbing up and down the stairs was tiring, and we had to wait at the front desk for quite a while. There was no one at the front desk to ring a bell to alert us or to display an emergency contact number. Also, the room required climbing stairs, which wasn't clearly indicated on the booking page, making it unfriendly to people with knee problems. Soundproofing was average. The biggest advantage is its very quiet location amidst the hustle and bustle. Everything is just over a kilometer away, easily accessible by walking through the streets and alleys, perfect for someone like me who likes to stroll around the alleys to digest food. The coffee shop next door, Banshe, is pretty good, but a bit pricey.

Walking through an alley, I arrived at the Jin Changmen Hotel. Further in, I found the Licheng Hotel. The hotel's exterior is antique and the environment is beautiful. When checking in, I asked if I could add a crib, and surprisingly, they could! The whole process was very quick, with almost no waiting. I booked a suite in a separate building, which I looked up and found has a long history called Qiushi Fanhua Mansion, built during the Republic of China era. The room was very nice, clean, and tidy. I would book this hotel again next time I travel. The breakfast was just so-so.

What an unique experience! Nothing could be more authentic than that! Our room is on the first floor right by the water. We saw many women rowing the gondola boats and serenading beautiful songs to their passengers. We came in a low season, so there wasn’t that much crowd. We could stroll around leisurely to take in all the beautiful sights that this place offers to us. The home stay is operated by a couples. They are so friendly, kind, and always eager to help out, especially the wife (Ms. Chan). The day when we left, she helped us getting a didi ride which is more cheaper than the one we hailed ourselves. The room we stayed in is very unique, it is not super big, but it is very clean and it has everything we needed for the night. All and all, I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

My trip to Suzhou went perfectly, and I highly recommend staying at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Hotel, part of the IHG group. My entire experience at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove was infused with a sense of exquisite elegance. The guest room was the most pleasant surprise. A serene waterscape quietly unfolded before my eyes, and the room was spacious, airy, and designed with classic beauty and rich detail. Amenities like the free mini-bar and double vanity balanced practicality with aesthetics, while the excellent soundproofing enveloped everything in a truly tranquil haven. The hotel's breakfast was a healthy feast. In a semi-buffet style, the options were abundant and high-quality, ranging from cereals, eggs, and dairy to seafood and fresh produce. What was even more impressive was the attention to personalized needs: low-sugar/low-salt options, vegetarian, and gluten-free arrangements… Every subtle consideration transformed dining into a reassuring and delightful ritual. And the hotel’s restaurant, “Zhu Qu Xuan,” drew us in for dinner two nights in a row – its Black Pearl one-star rating is truly well-deserved, and we enjoyed many unique Suzhou delicacies there. But what truly elevated this stay was the omnipresent warm service. Before check-in, the cherry butler proactively contacted me with location details and tips; after check-in, from the thoughtful turndown service to the attentive follow-up from my dedicated butler, every interaction was natural and welcoming. This feeling of being silently remembered and meticulously cared for is far more touching than luxury itself. The charm of Kimpton Bamboo Grove lies in how it weaves together the poetry of gardens, the sophistication of its spaces, the refinement of its dining, and the warmth of its service into a complete and unforgettable stay. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The hotel has a beautiful environment. Boating on the lotus pond and entering the room units felt like stepping into a uniquely charming setting. The family suite, designed with two floors, was a perfect match for our needs. In addition, the hotel’s service was excellent—shuttle cars were available on call. The lobby manager, Mr. Liu, was courteous and friendly, which left a particularly deep impression on me. One thing I really appreciated was that each guest is assigned a dedicated butler who communicates one-on-one via WeChat. It’s very convenient—you can treat them as your personal assistant throughout the stay. Whatever request you have, just let them know and they will help take care of it. My butler was Lisa, and she was very helpful and responsive. One area for improvement is that there were quite a few mosquitoes 🦟 inside the room. My daughter was bitten all over and is still suffering. We had to buy topical medication today to treat the bites. If the hotel could kindly remind guests in advance about the mosquito situation, we might have come prepared and avoided the bites altogether. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this stay.
