Hotels With Pools in Gansu, China

This is the first time I've specifically waited to review a hotel: 1. Location: Less than 10 minutes from the high-speed train station, very convenient. 2. Service: Beyond five-star service! They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. There were welcome gifts upon check-in and also gifts upon check-out, plus a play area for kids. An excellent hotel! 👍👍👍

The Hyatt Regency Lanzhou boasts an excellent location right by the Yellow River. Stepping out of the hotel, you can walk along the riverside promenade to Zhongshan Bridge, and just across the bridge is Baita Mountain Park. The hotel's service meets a high five-star standard; the concierge, front desk, executive lounge, room service, and restaurant staff all exhibit excellent professionalism. They are proactive, enthusiastic, and always ready to assist guests with any needs. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, with spacious and impeccably clean rooms. The furniture is stylish and elegant, the bedding is comfortable, and the room soundproofing is excellent. The bathroom offers good water pressure and temperature. High-floor suites provide a clear 180-degree panoramic view of the Yellow River, which is truly spectacular. A self-service laundry room is available as an added amenity. The hotel's breakfast is extensive, featuring local specialties, freshly made beef noodles, and a wide array of both Chinese and Western options, all of which taste great. My stay was excellent, so much so that I extended it.

Quality stay! A hidden gem! [If you don't want spoilers, go experience it first for a bigger surprise!] ✔️ Upon check-in, they offered homemade apricot peel tea, chilled and delicious. ✔️ The hotel has apricot and jujube trees. During this season, you can pick Li Guang apricots, wash them right by the pool, and eat them fresh – so tasty! ✔️ The stay includes a complimentary travel photoshoot and refined edits. The in-house photo studio also offers paid makeup and styling, which was done beautifully – absolutely stunning and great for photos. ✔️ The showerhead is Hansgrohe. Our room had a bathtub, and both the bed and sofa were very comfortable. Both the hardware and software are excellent. ✔️ The hotel provides afternoon tea with dried fruits, fresh fruit, and tea – very relaxing. ✔️ Each room has a dedicated butler service, and any request is quickly attended to. ✔️ In the evening, there's a sweet soup for goodnight. It's also very close to Dunhuang Night Market by car, so it's great to refuel after a good stroll. ✔️ The set breakfast offers a rich variety: mini wontons, congee, bread, sausages, fried eggs, fruit, milk, yogurt, and apricot peel tea. Room service is also available. ✔️ The hotel has a swimming pool with swimming rings provided. The lounge area is under apricot trees, and the poolside environment is fantastic. You can go for a swim when the sun isn't too strong. ✔️ Upon departure, there's a farewell gift, a special souvenir from Dunhuang. Overall, I just loved it. Honestly, I can't think of anything that needs improvement! ✨️

This was my first stop in China and I’m so happy that I stayed in Dunhuang at Baibaili Hotel. I was looked after so well, the hospitality of the staff extended many times for several necessities and I’m touched by their hospitality. This will for a very long time, be my remarkable first impression of China, its people and their culture. The location is perfect if you want to stay a bit further out from town and enjoy the silence of being closer to the desert and the stunning design of the place. Beautiful and comfortable room, all the final touches refined every day and after 24 hrs of travelling; a generous fruit and snack plate that grounded me sweetly into Dunhuang upon arrival and farewelled me just after mid-autumn with a beautiful moon cake. For this trip to the Northwest, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at both the beginning and end. We stayed in two different rooms for a total of three nights, and it was very comfortable. Returning the car was also convenient. The hotel even upgraded our room type and provided free breakfast for our child. The hotel's beef noodles were delicious, and the freshly squeezed juice was very refreshing.

This was our first time in Lanzhou, and we booked this hotel. As soon as we arrived downstairs, a bellboy helped us with our luggage and opened the car door. Check-in was on the 51st floor, and the front desk lady, wearing a khaki uniform and glasses, even upgraded our room type. The housekeeping staff was also very meticulous and polite when cleaning during our extended stay. A big thank you to everyone mentioned! The room had an amazing view of the mountains and the Yellow River. The facilities were complete, the bedding was very comfortable, and the complimentary toiletries were also excellent. The only slight disappointment was around 9:20 PM when my partner and I went to the lobby bar to cut a cake and wanted to have a drink. A staff member told us we had to order two drinks to sit at that particular spot. Since we only wanted one drink, we were told we could only sit in the sofa area behind the stairs, where there was no charge. At that point, I didn't even feel like ordering one drink.

This is the second part of our review: - The accomodation has rooms on ground floor and first floor. - the rooms on 1st floor, the breakfast hall on the second floor with the rooftop can be reached by stairs or a modern elevator!!! It is certainly exceptional among private housings in the area! - if you are lazy to stay on the dunes to watch the drone show, you can watch it partially from the rooftop on some days :)) Our host with his wife and his trainee colleague provided genuine Chinese hospitality. Additionally when we encountered trouble at ticket purchase Mogao Cave ticket office he did not hesitate to jump into his car, he drove 25 minutes just to talk to the ticket sellers in person! Otherwise we could not have been able to arrange any slot. It is only thanks to him we got a slot booked 2 days later. I hope this describes clearly that the hosts of Yuzu Residence/ Cloud Trail Manor are giving more than 100% to their guests to ensure a perfect time in Dunhuang! Thank you for everything!!

After a few days in Gannan, I specifically chose a hotel with a bathtub and a pool for a relaxing night. The Yellow River view room offers first-class scenery, overlooking both banks of the Yellow River from a high vantage point. The breakfast was also good, the room was spacious enough, and the service was excellent – anything I needed was provided quickly. There's also a Reader Culture & Creativity shop in the lobby downstairs. I'm a hundred percent satisfied! The price was surprisingly similar to a three-star campsite in Gannan. The cost of living in Lanzhou is surprisingly affordable!

Longnan Wudu's Top Choice: Xingchao Grand Cloudland International Hotel 📍 **Location:** Conveniently located near highway exits, making it very easy for self-driving guests. The routes to Guano'egou and Wanxiang Cave are smooth. 🏠 **Rooms:** The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the rooms are spacious and bright. The bedding is comfortable. The cleanliness details are a plus, with toiletries and towels individually packaged. Given the dry climate in the Northwest, the room's humidification system works very well. 🍳 **Breakfast:** Deserves special praise! It offers a complete selection of Chinese and Western dishes. In addition to regular breakfast items, they also provide authentic local specialties. 🏊 **Amenities:** Features a heated indoor swimming pool and a gym, perfect for relaxing after a long journey. It's also suitable for family trips. Overall, this is a high-standard hotel in Longnan. It's well-suited for business, tourism, and family travel. I would choose to stay here again on my next visit to Wudu!

Finally got to experience the highly anticipated star tent, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations! I was initially worried that tent accommodations would be basic, but each one was a standalone unit with a private bathroom, separate wet and dry areas, 24-hour hot water, and quality toiletries. The tent itself was spacious, the large bed was incredibly soft, and you could open the skylight to stargaze. We could clearly see the Milky Way with the naked eye at night. Each tent was spaced far apart, ensuring maximum privacy and no worries about noise. Our butler was always on call, proactively bringing mosquito repellent and hot drinks, and breakfast featured fresh local specialties. During the day, we enjoyed the mountain/desert views from the deck, and in the evening, we waited for the sunset. It was incredibly relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle, perfect for both couples and those looking for a short getaway. Highly recommend!
