It was very conveniently located just a short walk from Alameda Central. There was a taco shop right near the hotel, so I could easily grab some if I got hungry.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Water was provided. There was no toothbrush. I didn't mind it too much, but the room? Or the TV stand? was tilted, and the drawers wouldn't close and stayed open.
Also, even though I'd already paid online, I was charged for my stay there. Fortunately, they quickly refunded me after I explained that I'd already paid online.
I was able to leave my luggage after checking in.
Overall, I didn't have any particular issues.
Great location but staff were unhelpful. No consierge for 2/3 days of our stay, room wasn’t very nice. We told the hotel we were on honeymoon and they did nothing at all to make our stay special! Won’t be staying again.

Some young waitresses are not so friendly to customers and always seem a little impatient. I hope that the relatives, friends and parents of this waitress will encounter more warm, generous, patient and meticulous good services when traveling abroad.

The hotel design color is bold, the service is very good, the luggage is old people, warm and thoughtful, the restaurant is also beautiful, very safe area. The hotel goes out and turns right for 10 minutes to the bustling Reform Avenue. Many restaurants, shops, fashion, and green plants are beautiful.
Excellent hotel, cannot fully evaluate it cause I couldn’t stay as much as planned, because of a delayed flight, but for what I could see is beautiful and has a perfect location in regard to proximity to the airport. If you arrive at T2, just take the airport trainer to T1 and you’ll arrive through a flyover very easily :)
The location is nice. Given Mexico's nature, it seems like a bonus to have a fire pit.
The hair dryer was damaged, so I had it repaired five days later.
The swimming pool is small. There's one jumping jack and one bike in the pool.
The shower is a bit dirty, so I can't even use the shower.
The water is a bit muddy. Take a good look.

I love this hotel, which was renovated into a modern style in an old building in the old city. The location is very good, a five-minute walk from the old city square and close to the Art Palace. Not far downstairs is the commercial street, where you can find great restaurants and food stalls.
The front desk staff are very friendly and enthusiastic to provide information. The hygiene and service are good. Cleaning every day.
Most importantly, I like the old building in the city center. It is very cool after the renovation. The interior decoration is modern and it feels safer. The canopy of the corridor will open and brighten during the day. The cool and gorgeous glass floor tiles are not smooth to drag the suitcase, but it is harmless.
The only thing that needs to be improved is that the central air-conditioning power is not enough for heating. Mexico City is relatively cold at a high altitude. It can't be heated up for several hours after returning to the room.
The room was nice and well equipped. Very clean and quiet, the bedding is quite comfortable. The location is a bit far from the downtown area, but it is very convenient to take a taxi or bus. There is a convenience store next to it and a fast food restaurant, coffee shop and various restaurants opposite. I especially recommend the breakfast, which is quite rich and of high quality. It is definitely worth purchasing. There is a discount at the front desk when you check in. The main thing is that the restaurant in this hotel has a very good dining level. The dinner a la carte is a little expensive, but the taste is good, the presentation is exquisite, and the service is also very thoughtful and meticulous.
nice room with city view, modern design & beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good.

Very Good
I recently stayed at the Sheraton Maria Isabel in Mexico City, and overall, it was a good experience. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location—it’s right on Reforma Avenue, next to the U.S. Embassy, so it felt very safe even though there were some peaceful demonstrations happening nearby related to rent increases and the current situation in Mexico. The room was spacious and comfortable, but it did feel a bit old and outdated. The bathroom floor had some cracks, which wasn’t a big issue but worth mentioning. It could definitely use some renovation in the future. On the bright side, the breakfast was really nice. Good variety, fresh options, and great service. If you care about being in a central, secure area with decent amenities, this hotel is a solid choice—just don’t expect a modern, freshly renovated space.
We loved staying here although we did have a few hiccups. We arrived before check-in but we could leave our luggage at the hotel which was a relief. Unfortunately we lost our luggage ticket while out, but the front desk employee Grecia made it seem as if it were a huge problem and that we would not be able to retrieve our luggage at all. She did not reassure us even after we expressed confusion and concern. However once we had already gotten very stressed about this, another employee simply asked for our identification and quickly resolved the problem (which was their standard protocol). The stress was avoidable. When we arrived to the room we had to call to request robes and slippers, and there was only one water bottle even though we were two guests. In the bathroom, there is only one hook for the towels, which was inconvenient. The shower also leaked water all over the bathroom which is an architectural problem and can’t really be helped but was annoying as the bathroom floor was wet. The lighting in the room was also very dim, but that might just be a personal preference. Multiple times when requesting towels or water from room service, we had to call several times to remind them of our needs (we even once went personally to remind them at the front desk after 3 times of calling). On our last day we were eager to enjoy one final breakfast, which is listed as being from 6am-11am. However the food was not set up until 6:20-30, so we had to rush to eat before checking out to make it in time for our flight. Also at breakfast there is no self service tea or water station, and although the staff are attentive, it’s too much for them to be able to meet everyone’s needs at rush hour breakfast. However despite all of this we are left with a great memory of staying here. The food at breakfast was delicious, and most of the staff were very kind despite the delays in service. The location is convenient and the room was comfortable. I do not regret staying here although for ~300 USD a night I might expect a little bit more attention to detail.
We were visiting Mexico City for holiday and found the hotel to be in a superb location for all we had planned. The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. The room was superb. The only downside was that we had booked with breakfast and there was a lot of confusion as to what our breakfast should be. First day we had one small piece of toast and a couple of pieces of fruit but the second day we were offered any eggs dish from the main menu. We thought perhaps they had got it wrong on the first day as this amount was just about right for a child rather than an adult. However on day three we were offered what we had on day one so very confusing. Other than this our stay was superb.
TTheVoyagerWe really loved staying at Tonala. The hotel is located in Roma Norte, a trendy neighbourhood in Mexico city. We could walk to all the nice restaurants ans cafes for food and drinks. There’s a really popular cafe downstairs for pastries, breakfast and coffee. And there’s a famous seafood restaurant as well as a fancy Michellin reservations-only restaurant next to it, right across the street from the hotel. Walking to the historic centre, La Condesa and the museuems took us about 15 minutes or so. The room is spacious and came with a great shower with working hot water. The air-cons worked really well in both the living and bed rooms. The laundry room is free to use from evening onwards. And the rooftop pool was great for a quick dip. Overall clean not just in our room but the stairs, lobby and rooftop and lift. Definitely 5-star and I would gladly stay there again when I next visit Mexico city.
Really nice hotel with people that are really friendly. Clean, smells really, and serviced really well. The desk staff were really friendly and helpful. Rocío cleaned and looked after my room really well! Thanks Rocio. The Spa and gym was amazing - especially the staff who were really helpful and kind. The trainer Ariel was really helpful showing me various training routines and ways for thinking about exercise - he is an expert in Judo (black belt!). Alexis was really helpful with the spa facilities. Thanks Ariel and Alexis! The beauty salon run by Azul was really good and especially with the treatments she offers! She convinced me to start looking after the smaller things about my appearance. It is the people that make a place and in this case in Hotel Marquis Reforma. I will definitely go back. Thanks Azul! Thanks Hotel Marquis Reforma! See you soon.
The room was big and comfortable. The pool was small but clean and well kept. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful. The location is right next to a few banks, shops and the metro is within 5 minutes walk. The area felt very safe as it’s nearby some embassies. The only thing that was not great was the elevator. It was extremely slow, you had to always push both up and down for it to arrive on your floor. So most times you’d go to then go down. And I did get stuck in the elevator once with a few other people. They did get us our rather quickly though. They are renovating so hopefully soon their new elevator will be operational.
Exceptional experience ! Ultimate Ritz Carlton experience, would highly recommend if you travel to Mexico City! Definitely get one of the best view in Mexico City from your room , it truly exceed my expectation of a Ritz Carlton hotel. Extremely good service and always address you by your name. We encounter some problems within the room in the beginning, however the front office manager solve it very quickly which is excellent. We have stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and will definitely come back if we visit Mexico City again. Became a fan of Ritz Carlton now
