The location is perfect, with seamless access to the Shinkansen. The room was clean and tidy, with ample space. The bedding was very comfortable, and the mattress was so sore-free. The public hot spring on the 6th floor was free and not crowded. The Blue Lounge offered free apple juice and snacks, which was a delight to enjoy while enjoying the night view. The front desk was busy, and we were greeted by a non-Japanese woman who provided standard service. We stayed three nights and were very convenient to hiking the Oirase Gorge in Aomori, visiting Hirota Shrine in the city, and visiting the Aomori Prefectural Museum of Art. There's a bus stop just downstairs. Very satisfied!

The hotel is quite far from Hirosaki Station. It may take 15-20 minutes to walk there, but the hotel has a shuttle bus to the JR station in the morning, which runs frequently. There are parking spaces, which is more suitable for self-driving tours. There are many restaurants near the hotel with many choices. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to Hirosaki Park.

The hotel is good overall. This is my third time staying in this hotel. This time, I booked 8 rooms in total, two of which were booked by Rukuten Travel. Because these two rooms were additional reservations, I don’t remember whether Trip’s price was high or they were out of room. As a result, the two rooms booked by Rukuten Travel had one more dish at dinner than the rooms booked by Ctip, which made me feel very bad about Ctip. For this stay, the only thing I was not satisfied with was the shamisen performance in the evening. Because the resident performer of the hotel suddenly did not go to work, the male guest who replaced her was far worse than her.

Although I chose this ryokan as alternative place but it turned out it is my best stay so far. It is not far from Kuroishi and it is accessible by public transport. Room is very spacious and has both a bathroom and a toilet. Onsen is good. It has both indoor and outdoor ones. Usually it is not busy. Food was great both dinner and breakfast. Free flow of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also included. Very generous. Staffs are very friendly, although their English are very limited. Extra 150 yen per person for onsen tax. Cash term only. Cashless payment is available.

Aside from being overpriced, I was very satisfied with everything else. The room was very comfortable. Although you couldn't specify a room type, it was large. The bed was also very comfortable. However, no one cleaned it. They were probably rehearsing for the Nebuta Festival performance, hahahaha. The breakfast was very rich. We had seafood rice early in the morning, which was fantastic. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. The waiters were all great. They were very friendly. The Nebuta Festival performance was fantastic. Even though I didn't understand it, I was still moved by the actors' enthusiasm.

The facilities at the Owana Onsen are complete, the performances are in place, the food is delicious, and the apple hot spring smells like apples. I am very satisfied with the reservation and will choose this place again when I come to Aomori for vacation

There's quite a bit to unpack about this hotel. 1. The hotel's ambiance, as well as the breakfast and dinner, were both excellent. A particularly nice touch was the complimentary apple juice served in the lobby from around 3 PM, which was very pleasant to enjoy. 2. Navigating the Oirase Stream options was the main challenge. Despite multiple choices like the hotel shuttle, open-top buses, and bike rentals, it's difficult to decide without prior research. Most visitors take the hotel's hourly shuttle to Ishigedo, begin their walk from there, and then time their return trip to catch a shuttle back. 3. Ishigedo offers both regular and electric-assist bicycle rentals. If you're heading towards Nenokuchi, I strongly advise against a regular bicycle due to the significant uphill climbs and physical strain involved. 4. Yasumiya, the JR bus's final stop, is well worth a visit for stunning views of Lake Towada, which are far superior to Nenokuchi's.
