My stay at the Qingdao North Railway Station Shengping Road Light Inn was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Qingdao North Railway Station, making travel a breeze. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive; both check-in and check-out were handled very efficiently. The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities. The bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so I got a great night's sleep. The hotel environment was cozy, and the cleanliness was exceptional, making for a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The breakfast selection was varied and tasty, offering great value for money overall. I highly recommend this hotel for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Qingdao. Five-star rating!

The surroundings are pretty good; you can see the sea from the room. Downstairs, there are late-night food options and a few small convenience stores. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the subway station. The hotel's hygiene could be better; there were some strange little things on the bed. The in-room facilities are very complete; there's a washing machine (though it doesn't have a dryer function, there's a drying rack). The washing machine had a problem, but they came to fix it promptly. There's also a fridge and an induction cooker, which I didn't use. Check-out was self-service, but there was staff at the front desk when I arrived. The TV is internet-based, so you can watch content if you have a membership.

Nestled against Yuhuangding, the hotel is approximately 100 meters from Yuhuangding/Wuzi Bei. It's a convenient 5–10 minute walk to Riguan Peak, the Five Sacred Mountains inscription, and Bixia Temple, making it the most hassle-free option for watching the sunrise after a night climb. Around 3:50 AM, the front desk provides a wake-up call based on the weather, and staff guide guests to a less crowded sunrise viewing spot, so you don't have to stumble around in the dark looking for the way yourself. For a mountaintop location, it's considered 'comfortable'.

The best place for a calm vacation on a beach for a affordable price. This was a nice little hotel standing right in front of a beach. The placement can be seen as perfect as this large beach is wonderful itself and much better then the beaches at the city center. The only inconvenience to consider when choosing this or nearby hotels is lack of cafes and restorans nearby, so you'd better take breakfasts in the hotel, they were not bad, tasty and very filing, with serveral options to choose from. For other places to eat, except for a two nearby costly restorans, you'll have to wark to find one about 1-1,5 km or more. If you want to spend more time in the city center consider also the time to travel to it, about 1,5 hours on a bus, 30-50 minutes on taxi. The service was decent, even though stuff does not speak english they were very welcome and supportive, helping me and calling taxi a couple of times when I needed it. The hotel itself is clean. The room was cleaned daily, not perfectly as the floors in the room stayed a bit dusty all the time but that was not too much of an issue. The bedding was always clean, towels were clean as well and changed daily. I have to say a few words about the beach and the see themselves. The beach is large and clean, there are trash bins which are cleaned daily. It have a sand of very good quality, indeed of a golden color. The beach longs for several kilometers and is from about 150 meters wide to 200+ meters wide depending on the tides. The beach is shallow but no too much, you can easily walk to a place where you can swim freely. It was August and the water was extremely warm and cozy. It was clean with little human made trash coming from the see, but due to temperature the water near the shore start blooming on a second or third day of my stay there. I had to walk 10-15 meters in a 50-80 centimeters deep water full of seaweed before I come to clear waters. I bit unpleasant but not a big deal. There were some jelly fish coming the shore, the see doesn't have dangerous ones though. The beach has some infrastructure, at least there is a place to wash your hands and legs and there are public toilets nearby the beach, but there are no safeguards on it. With an chinese specifics I would say that's a plus as they are too restrictive and protective here.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful! So gentle and patient!! The room layout was also great, spacious and bright, really excellent 👍 The hotel's cleaning staff were also wonderful ~ they cleaned very thoroughly and were very enthusiastic. Hospitable Shandong truly lives up to its name ^ ^ The hotel's location is also superb, very close to May Fourth Square, with plenty of food and drink options nearby. Highly recommended 👍 Just the shower pressure was a bit low, hope that can be improved ~

This hotel is right by the sea, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. You're just a few steps away from seeing the ocean, and there are tons of restaurants nearby. The room was absolutely huge, and the price was very reasonable. Shandong people are so generous! Next time I'm in Qingdao, I'm definitely staying here again. Highly recommended!

Here's another 'small but perfectly formed' place, exceeding my expectations – I actually had the best night's sleep here! 1. After exiting the subway, just keep following the 'VIP Building' (or Plaza Premium Lounge) signs. (Odd that the other two hotels have their names displayed, but Aerotel doesn't, though at least they're all in the same general direction.) 2. I chose a room without a private bathroom, but the communal bathroom wasn't far from my room. I went twice, once in the morning and once at night, for washing and using the toilet, and didn't encounter anyone else. It actually felt a bit like being at home, just stepping out of the room to use the facilities. The room itself isn't big, and the AC control panel is on the ceiling. It has a TV, hangers, and a kettle – everything you need. The window is sealed, but once the AC is on, it doesn't feel stuffy at all; the air feels circulated. 3. If you want a good night's sleep, you definitely need to pull the curtains all the way down. Since I arrived at night, it felt quite dark. To avoid oversleeping, I only pulled them halfway. The next morning, I vaguely heard/dreamt of the sound of rain (or was it someone dragging luggage?). I opened my eyes, and the sunlight was streaming in, making the room so bright! 4. Exiting the room, there's a dedicated security channel, which is super convenient and leads directly past security. BUT! It's quite a trek from the VIP lounge. I walked a long way to V2 to eat some mackerel dumplings, and then after eating, I walked back to the boarding gate… Note: From the subway to the VIP Building/Plaza Premium Lounge is on the first floor. You can print your boarding pass here, then take the elevator next to it up to the third floor to check in. Before boarding, my boarding code wouldn't scan, so I had to go back from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor to print my boarding pass, and then back to the 3rd floor for security. But overall, it was all pretty quick!
