GGuest UserBe aware booked through trip.com and money came out of my credit card when I booked the room. At check in the receptionist had no record of this and I was charged again. I brought this to the attention of another staff member and was told they will refund me. Be aware if you have paid before check in

GGuest UserAbsolutely beautiful hotel Sharon the hostess is Absolutely amazing she's very efficient so is thr other lady but I don't know her ne nothing is to much trouble for these ladies they work so hard the other lady is around Sharon's age and her and Sharon are always running around working and asking if everything is okay they are a credit to your hotel and thank you to all the people who work behind the scenes the chef and the domestics making sure everything is clean and tidy all these people are the backbone of the hotel

GGuest UserAs we were staying for one night only we weren't TOO fussy. We got a family room which was also kitted out for wheelchair user. Our view was of a tall, solid concrete wall. Friends stayed in a bright, sunny room looking out over the harbour.. Choose your room carefully if you are staying for a while and like a pleasant view. Breakfast was just okay. I had poached eggs on avocado, peanut rayu and sourdough. Felt it had too many flavours. Would like to have seen some simple breakfast options on the menu. Several dishes served with hollandaise sauce. I also noticed a few flies hovering around the food area. Would not rush to stay there again even though location was fabulous looking out over the harbour.

GGuest UserThe hostel is located near the nice beach and the cathedral.
The 27 hours of continuous flight made me feel bad, but the clean toilet was nice with warm water.
If you visit Cove again, I will visit again.

GGuest UserDisappointing. Couldn’t find my booking at all. After getting a room and resting somebody entered to show the room to somebody else.
Unfortunately there was a group of ladies booked at the same time and they made a lot of noise and nobody stopping them so I got up at 3.30. Shouted at them and they went to bed. Went for a shower but no hot water. Asked for a fried egg and 2 sausages for breakfast. That took 45 minutes. It could be a great place with some organisation. We were probably unlucky on the night

GGuest UserHighly recommend this place. I had a great experience in Ireland except every place I stayed was not heated adequately for me, except here. I was even provided a heated blanket. If you are sensitive to noises, I encourage you to have earplugs or some type of noise cancellation but otherwise you should stay.

GGuest UserIt takes only 10 minutes to walk from Cork train station with a suitcase. It's basically a straight line. It's all flat. It's very close to the river. The city center shopping center is across the river. It's very convenient. I didn't order breakfast, so I don't know how the hotel breakfast is. The room is spacious and clean with large activity space. The furniture and facilities are good, and the mattress is comfortable to sleep. The beautiful lady at the front desk is very friendly and greeted us in Chinese. The only bad thing is that the room we stayed in was on the second floor facing the street. The bar downstairs was too noisy until late, and light sleepers would be affected. Everything else was perfect.

Above the ground floor the hotel was pretty grim.
So uncared for it feels grubby. See pictures of the room, view and the only plug socket in the room (to use the kettle the entire kettle tray needed to be balanced on a chair infront of it)
Room hot with no fan and the noise that went on until after 1am by screeching young adults (unchecked by staff) meant that opening a window wasn’t an option. Very expensive for a hotel room that should be in the £40 bracket not over £100

GGuest UserHotel needs refit.Bathroom shower very low pressure.Noisy room due to commercial kitchen equipment outside bedroom window.Very old tv in bedroom not a smart tv or anyway to connect devices.Bedroom carpet dirty near the door needs shampooing.Breakfast staff pleasant.
