What travelers say:

Neutral Gate, originally located in the Neutral Square in the city center, was built in 1998 to commemorate the United Nations' granting of permanent neutrality status to Turkmenistan in 1995. The building was moved to the park at the foot of Mount Kopet in the southern suburbs in 2010. The main building is 75 meters high and is supported by three giant feet, representing neutrality, independence and national unity. There is an elevator to the top of the observation deck. The top is a 12-meter-high golden statue of the first president, which could have been rotated in the direction of the sun, but it has not been turned.
