Ulan Buh, also known as the Ulan Buh Tourism Area, is under the jurisdiction of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. Located in the southwestern part of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, it includes three scenic areas: the Ulan Buh Grassland, the Ulan Buh Ancient Battlefield, and the Huamugou Forest Area. Leaving Chifeng, I drive towards the end of the Ulan Butong Grassland. This is the end of the grassland and the northernmost place in Inner Mongolia. Standing here, I can feel the vastness and infinite power of nature. The grassland here seems to have no boundaries, connected to the sky and merged with the earth. The autumn journey through the Ulan Butong Grassland has allowed me to experience the unique charm of natural beauty. Ulan Butong and Saihanba, although administratively different, are both located on the infinitely scenic Weichang Plateau. Ulan Butong in the north, means 'red hill' in Mongolian, belongs to Keshiketeng Banner in Inner Mongolia. In 1964, a military horse farm was established here to provide war horses for border defense. Saihanba in the south, means 'beautiful ridge' in Mongolian, is under the jurisdiction of Weichang County, Hebei. The two places are divided by the winding Turgen River. Ulan Butong is surrounded by mountains and water, with beautiful lakes and mountains. Saihanba was once a barren hill due to war, but later it was filled with artificial forests and turned green again. Today, the vast forest is already the 'source of the river, the hometown of the clouds, the world of flowers'.
