A great find!
A great find! Best 200 yen I've ever spent on a tour! Well worth the trip. Our guide was very helpful telling us everything about the house. Fascinating.
I visited after seeing the leaflets of the museum. The map app showed the back side, but the entrance was different. There is a dedicated free parking lot. I don't think I went there just by living a wealthy farmer. The buildings and furnishings were good, but paintings are exhibited in each room. The ikebana corner was an exhibition of children's works, but the distinction from adult works was not great for me.
It's a little hot spot because it's the location of the recently released movie "Sanritsubaki". The inside of the house is larger than I imagined. However, it seems that its magnificence is not excessive. Successive heads donate elementary schools to contribute to the community, collect and preserve Chinese books. I felt that the cleverness of successive heads was there.
I visited the place I first learned about because it was the location of the movie "Sanri Tsubaki". Old houses are often scattered throughout Japan, but I think it is a really big and magnificent mansion among them. The plum blossoms were in full bloom, but I think it's the best place to see the cherry blossoms if the weather is a little better and you can see the Tateyama mountain range. It was a magnificent mansion beyond imagination, a garden where you can enjoy the appearance of the mansion and the four seasons 々 all year round.
It's a little difficult to get to, but it's worth a look. It is said to be a nationally designated tangible cultural property, but I was surprised that such a magnificent building at the end of the Edo period remained until today. I could see everything inside freely, but when I asked for an explanation, I was given a detailed explanation of all the halls regardless of the number of people. The contents of the explanation are full of surprises! !! .. I was able to teach the history of Japan that I can't teach at school. The garden is large and the flowers are beautiful in the season ...

It is one of the hidden attractions.
