The museum is the national museum of Queensland, located in the capital Brisbane, established in 1862, its purpose is to allow visitors to further understand the natural history of Queensland's past and present. Rich collections The museum has a wide variety of exhibits, with about 10,000 collections, ranging from ancient dinosaur skeletons to relatively modern Queensland historical relics. The items on display include historical locomotives, dinosaur skeletons, Devonian skeletons Fossils of carnivorous fish, precious fossil and diamond specimens, whale models and more, as well as samples of extinct Queensland species, and precious cockroach specimens. In addition to this, there is a small section in the museum displaying indigenous artifacts and Chinese ceramics.
