Photos of Chaotianmen Bridge

The Chaotianmen Bridge was officially opened to traffic on April 29, 2009. The bridge connects the three central business districts of Jiefangbei, Jiangbei City and Danzishi. The bridge is in the form of a steel truss arch bridge with two main piers and a main span of 552 meters, making it the "world's first arch bridge". The bridge is divided into upper and lower layers. The upper floor is a two-way six-lane, and pedestrians can pass the sidewalks on both sides to get on the bridge; the lower floor is a two-way subway track, and two lanes are reserved on both sides to ensure the demand for the bridge when the traffic volume increases in the future. The bridge is connected to Wulidian Interchange in Jiangbei District in the west and Huangjuewan Interchange of Yu-Guizhou Expressway in Nan'an District in the east, with a total length of 1741 meters. It is an east-west expressway in the main city.
