Whenever you smell the perfume, you feel very comfortable. The Perfume Museum also collects quite a lot. Many items. A Roman Catholic cathedral in the heart of Cologne. This Gothic-style church building was built in 1248 has a unique shape. The design of Cologne Cathedral is similar to Amiens Cathedral in terms of land plan, style and width in proportion to the height of the central nave.
Inside this church there are several points that must be seen and paid attention to, namely the Altar which is still standing majestically since 1322, using black marble, the Temple of the Three Kings, 5 windows made of stained glass on the southern wall which was a gift from King Ludwig I of Bavaria.
Sharing you some of my Photos during my Germany trip . 🥰 🇩🇪 #germany #travelinspiration
Cologne was an import outpost in the Roman Empire. The city features a number of Roman ruins and the Romano-Germanic Museum is the best place to explore these in Central Cologne. Take some time to wander around and appreciate how it must have been those many centuries ago traversing the vastness of the Roman Empire.
One of the world's great cathedrals, the Cologne Cathedral is a marvel to view in person. The twin spires are the tallest on any cathedral in the world I think. It's an amazing piece of European and Germany history to see the in person. Make sure to walk all the way around for the full perspective.
Some amazing archeitecture! Amazing that it was preserved and survived the bombings. The 3 kings shrine is inside. Take your time inside, it can be mezmerizing. The place is huge! This place is well worth a visit. #wintergetaway
Of course the main attraction if Cologne / Köln is the cathedral on the main square. But the city also offers other places that are very nice. For me the pedestrian street is super nice with plenty of shops and good cafés. It is very convenient for shipping tourism during the sale days.
