🇬🇸 Salisbury Plain — South Georgia 🐧

อีกหนึ่งจุดที่ผมมองว่า คนชอบ King Penguin และถ่ายภาพสัตว์ป่าควรใส่ไว้ในลิสต์ บรรยากาศของที่นี่ต่างจาก St Andrews Bay พอสมควร เพราะเป็นพื้นที่ราบกว้างที่เกิดจากธารน้ำแข็ง มีลำธาร แอ่งน้ำ ทุ่งหญ้า และภูเขาโอบอยู่ด้านหลัง ภาพที่เห็นคือเพนกวินกระจายเต็มพื้นที่แบบสุดสายตา ดูดิบและเป็นธรรมชาติมาก
📅 แพลนเที่ยว Salisbury Plain — ครึ่งวัน

ช่วงเช้า — Zodiac เข้าฝั่ง
ออกจากเรือ Expedition Cruise ด้วย Zodiac เข้าหาชายฝั่ง Salisbury Plain ถ้าคลื่นและลมเอื้อ จุดลงหลักจะอยู่บริเวณหาดกรวดยาวด้านหน้าที่ราบธารน้ำแข็ง แต่ที่นี่ขึ้นชื่อว่า landing ค่อนข้างขึ้นอยู่กับสภาพคลื่น ลม และจำนวนแมวน้ำบนชายหาดมาก

09. 00 น. — เดินตามแนวชายหาด
หลังลงฝั่ง แนะนำไม่ต้องรีบเดินเข้าไปไกล ช่วงชายหาดก็มี King Penguin เดินขึ้นลงทะเลให้ถ่ายภาพได้แล้ว โดยเฉพาะจังหวะที่เพนกวินรวมตัวกันริมคลื่น ภาพฉากหลังจะได้ทั้งทะเลและภูเขาหิมะ

10. 00 น. — ชม King Penguin Colony 🐧
เดินเข้าสู่บริเวณ Glacial Outwash Plain จะเริ่มเห็นฝูง King Penguin หนาแน่นขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ Salisbury Plain กับ St Andrews Bay เป็นพื้นที่ที่มีอาณานิคม King Penguin ขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดสองแห่งของ South Georgia และ King Penguin สามารถพบได้ตลอดทั้งปี เพราะวงจรการสืบพันธุ์ของพวกมันยาวกว่าหนึ่งปี
