It is Finland’s most visited building, seeing over 200,000 people enter every day. This is because the granite structure it is also the hub of public transportation in the country’s largest and capitol city. The 19 platforms within the station serve as the gateway to destinations throughout the country. What was originally called Helsingin rautatieasema-Helsingfors järnvägsstation was renamed to the much-easier-to-say Helsingin päärautatieasema-Helsingfors centralstation in 2010.
