The Helsinki Cathedral is white, especially dazzling and beautiful under the sun. There are many people visiting and resting on the steps or squares every day. It is normal to linger and forget to return. Of course, I also like to stay here. 【Scenery】Beautiful 【Interesting】High [Price ratio] very high
Helsinki is all about walking 📍Location: Helsinki, Finland 👟Access to transportation: The city is small, and the main attractions can basically be visited on foot. 🚎You can also choose public transportation, just download the local HSL ticket purchase app. You can choose one-way tickets and multi-day tickets, which is very convenient. 🔺If you choose to walk, remember to wear a pair of comfortable and breathable sneakers. 🛅Luggage storage: Helsinki Railway Station provides a paid storage service, which is charged according to the size of the leased space, ranging from 3€ to 6€. There are also manual storage, which is charged by piece. 🏛Recommended attractions: Three churches with different styles, open for free. Because it is a church, there are often red and white ceremonies for weddings and funerals, and visits are definitely declined during the ceremony. The first two are near Parliament Square, and the Rock Church is a little further away. 🔸 Helsingin Tuomiokirkko Cathedral/White Church 🔸 Orthodox Uspensky Cathedral Uspensky Cathedral/Red Church 🔸 Rock Church Temppeliaukio Rock Church On the day of the visit, we happened to encounter the wedding ceremony and we were not allowed to enter until the ceremony was over. 📝Travel tips: 🔺 Helsinki in February is really cold, even if I walk all the way, I still feel cold after staying outside for a long time. Wear more if you can. Use wool insoles. 🔺The price of Helsinki is much cheaper than that of Devil. If you use Helsinki as a transit point for your trip to Northern Europe, you can go to the supermarket to buy more daily necessities for emergency needs.
this church cant be miss . is near donwtown and is walking distance from the port as well. Do avoid noon time as it get crowded with all the tour bus . As for the church it is Grand and impressive exterior with a huge open plaza in the front. When on top of the steps, you get great views of Helsinki. Interior is a bit more muted and spartan but tastefully done. The organ is beautiful and shows really well inside the church. The pulpit and altar have simple, clean lines and are both very elegant. Allow about 30-45 mins for a visit.
To think they begun construction in the early 1800's would beg belief. It's design is very pleasant for Russian eyes as it was designed and built specifically for them. It's possible to relax here and watch everyone go about their business quite happily with the odd tram passing by every so often making it that much more atmospheric. It was the highlight of my 1 night stay in Helsinki just to reflect back on my travells and ponder life without disturbance. Experience the mesmeric Helsinki Cathedral whenever you pass through Finland, you wont be disappointed.
its huge... and the environment is stunning.. superb.
