Zhulin Temple

The Zhulin Temple was originally called Qingyuan Temple, and Jin Mudi "reformed" to Zhulin Temple. It was built in the Yonghe years of Dongjin and has a history of 1600 years. Although there are many similar monasteries in China, Xuzhou Zhulin Temple is the first bhikuni road in China.

Zhulin Temple was repeatedly abandoned and built in the middle of the last century, and it was looted by the Japanese and the Chinese, and the ancient temple was destroyed once. In 2004, Xuzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government respected history, followed the public opinion, and restored and rebuilt Zhulin Temple. The main buildings are the Grand Hall on the top of the mountain, Guanyin Pavilion, China's first bichuni Memorial Hall, Zhulin Temple Jingjian Women's Section, three monument pavilions, and the North and South Mountain Gate, which reproduces the deep and quiet artistic conception of the ancient temple Zhulin Temple. Opened in September 2009, Mingdao Master was invited to the abbot to effectively show the style of famous Chinese temples. After the tour, the poet Wang Xinjian had a poem praise: the bamboo forest ancient temple bamboo noise, green clouds cover the Lion Rock. Xuzhou Zhulin Temple and Xuzhou Han Cultural Scenic Area are connected together. I didn't know that Xuzhou has a Zhulin Temple. After visiting the Chu Wang Mausoleum, I walked to Zhulin Temple without knowing it. Zhulin Temple must have a lush bamboo forest, and there is a history of building the temple for more than 1600 years. I was most surprised to find a memorial hall for the three national figures, Yu Rong, in recognition of their achievements in promoting Buddhism.
