GGuest UserIt was a good stay for the price. Close to the station, towels are exchanged every day, and there is a cheap and delicious kebab shop right by the side (diagonally in front). The man at the front desk was very kind.
However, the location is not very good first. The road from the station to the hotel is not so worried if it is not midnight, but it is not recommended for women. And if you go back to the hotel and go to the right about 3 blocks, you get to the dangerous zone of the Manila slums. There are all kinds of drug addicts.
And there is no shampoo or toothbrush in the room. Then, there is no shower curtain, so the toilet becomes rusty even if it enters how well.
But you can forgive me if you think about the price. Such a hotel.
KKailangdemiaoxiansenService: The staff I encountered were all quite good. The younger ones had good English, and the older ones were friendly and smiled warmly. 5/5 stars.
Cleanliness: Very clean. There was a Cameroonian lady who spoke French, which was a plus! The room and bathroom were well-maintained and the air was fresh.
Environment: I stayed in a 6-bed mixed dorm. When there were a lot of guys, the snoring was constant, sometimes even a duet! On the last of my three nights, there were three girls, which was better. The beds were sturdy with good privacy curtains. As for roommates, it's really a matter of luck! But it's good value for money, and it's only a 5-minute walk to the subway, so transportation is convenient. đ
AAlisonâs Silk Road TravelsI stayed in a single room on floor 4. The room was clean and had a window. The windows opened. There was a new fridge in the room that was fantastic and I was able to have ice cold drinks. The bathroom was small but had everything I needed. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels and linens provided. The cleaner was very nice. There was enough room for all my bags, it was snug but very good for the price. I ate breakfast every morning. It was a really nice breakfast room. The breakfast is basic but everything is very fresh and nicely presented. Floor 1 had a strong scent of tobacco and I assumed it was the smoking floor. Floor 4 where I stayed was very quiet and I didnât smell smoke at all. As a non smoking so traveller I have to have theses needs met! The reception staff were very friendly and polite. The hotel is central itâs only a 20 min walk to all the Athens highlights. Itâs a great walk too! Lots of interesting shops! The Archeological museum is only a short walk from the hotel so well placed. The train station main line is only 15 min walk too. Thereâs a great place to have a full dinner just round the corner for around 12 euros which is great value. I loved the shopping in the area. A very comfy stay I would definitely come back. As a solo female traveller I felt quite safe at the hotel. It is a basic clean hotel and at a budget price. The images attached are of the things mentioned including pictures of the room.
GGuest UserThe apartment is beautifully furnished, very clean, and located in an excellent, walkable area of Koukaki. Overall, the quality of the flat itself was very high, and we enjoyed our stay. We also really appreciated being allowed to check in two hours earlier than the official time, which was extremely helpful after an early flight.
A few aspects of communication and practical arrangements could be improved to make the experience more seamless. After booking, an additional online check-in was requested by a management agency, but the webpage was not working properly and caused some unnecessary stress, as it was unclear whether this might affect access to the property. Clear reassurance in such cases would be very helpful.
It would also be good to clarify in the listing that the bedroom and living room are essentially open-plan, without a separating door, as this affects privacy and noise, especially for families. Additionally, the hot water system did not always provide enough hot water for more than one shower in a row.
Finally, clearer instructions and more consistent communication regarding the safe and key return process would reduce anxiety for guests.
Despite these points, the apartment itself is of excellent quality, and with improved communication, the overall experience could be outstanding
JJaviera GajardoI stayed here recently and the main issue is that it simply doesnât offer good value for money. There are much better and cheaper options in Athens.
The biggest problem was the beds. The mattresses were very uncomfortable â you can feel the springs, and even after changing beds it didnât improve. For the price, this is not acceptable.
The breakfast is definitely not worth âŹ6. Itâs extremely basic: cheap sliced bread, low-quality ham and cheese, yogurt, cereal, a small cake, and fruit that wasnât fresh (some pieces were even spoiled). It feels overpriced for what you get.
The happy hour wine is also disappointing â itâs just very cheap boxed wine, which doesnât match the expectation.
As for the staff, the cleaning staff were quite unfriendly, often not even acknowledging greetings. However, the reception team was helpful and polite, which I appreciated.
To be fair, management did offer a partial refund regarding a pricing issue, which I appreciate.
But overall, the experience does not justify the price. You can find better quality for less money in Athens.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic; you can walk or take a short bus ride to any attraction. It's right in the city center of Athens. The room size was decent. The owner speaks basic English. The cleaning staff were very nice, but they finish work at 12 PM. So, if we were in the hotel at noon, they couldn't clean the room in the afternoon. Our room had a view of an important local landmark, which was great.
Ppoire7Although it felt a bit small, it's a good value-for-money accommodation for a solo traveler. It's a mystery why the balcony was so large compared to the room size. The bathroom glass looks very fragile, so care should be taken.
HHolli j a smithOpen late arrived at 9:30pm the lady receptionist offered me to go get freshened up and offered places to eat aall in walking distance at 10:30pm even has a kiosk outside the hotel very safe area for solo female travellers and a bus 15metres away that will take you to Athens for around $5aus including catching the metro train to stagima
KKeziah DoThe hotel is clean and offers a good price, with helpful staff who can even boil water for you. Its location near the National Archaeological Museum is a major plus. However, be aware that the surrounding area is a little bit dirty, and there are homeless people. Also, the shower in the bathroom is quite small.
GGuest UserBooked into this hotel by Trip as they had booked me into the wrong hotel- another story- on arrival the woman tried to charge me following trip having emailed me confirmation of payment by them following their blunder with the pervious booking. I got the impression she thought she could make a quick killing due to the confusion and me being in a tired/stressed state due to the booking blunder by Trip Which they had sorted after a little faffing around.
I was having non of it and she eventually relented. from thereon it was ok-The rest of the staff were ok and although it was inferior to the hotel I had actually booked it did the job. Basic hotel for a short stay, no facilities really but close to the ferry port and Metro for Athens. The room had a fridge which was handy and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, it is right next to the market which is interesting.
Make sure you have proof of payment if you choose to stay
