It's right opposite the sand bathing beach and there's a bus stop next to it. The location is very convenient. I made a reservation for two meals. It was rich in content and delicious. It's really good value for money.

Because the night plane arrived at the airport, the accommodation booked in the case of inconvenient transportation, I didn't expect it to arrive before 22:00. The proprietress was very nice and kind. 🥹 has been waiting for me! Although the language was not available, she kindly told me the bus schedule. The next morning, it rained heavily and personally sent me to the station. I was very touched. 💗 was very warm. Because I arrived very late and left very early, although the accommodation environment is an old-fashioned hotel, but the things are very complete and clean (the shoes can not be worn into the hotel) I always feel that the boss is very careful to operate it is commendable 👍

Many young people stay, I don't know if there are activities in the school, there are more people in the bathhouse, and there are many people in the morning to eat breakfast. It is more convenient for people to drive, there is McDonald's nearby drive through👍🏻

Let me start with the conclusion: the hotel is good, but trip.com is bad. I booked a non-smoking room, but trip.com reported that the hotel had a smoking room. When I checked in, I found that the room smelled very heavy of smoke, so I discussed it with the hotel. At that time, the hotel showed me that the reservation document from trip.com showed a smoking room, which was exactly the opposite of the screenshot of my reservation for a non-smoking room. The hotel also said that there were no similar non-smoking rooms available and they could only give me a larger double room. I don't want to take advantage of this. It's obviously trip.com's fault, but the hotel has to bear it. Therefore, I wrote down the experience truthfully. I don’t know whether this review will be published, because I didn’t reply to the online conversation on trip.com at that time, so it was left alone. Once again, the hotel is very good, but please think carefully about whether you need to book through trip.com.

What a surprisingly wonderful old ryokan! Operating for a century, its interior boasts a rich Showa-era charm. It definitely feels historic but is spotlessly clean. The true highlight was breakfast, which unexpectedly featured pork shabu-shabu. The broth was made with genuine, high-quality ingredients, and the yuzu kosho was locally sourced. Paired with the black pork, it was absolutely delicious! 😋

It's a very old hotel. There is no shower room in the room. You need to use the large bath to take a bath. However, there is a sauna attached, which is very comfortable. The parking lot is not free, but there are dedicated staff to move your car, and the fees are reasonable.

The hotel decoration is a bit old. The boss is a kind grandmother, the service is intimate and warm. The hotel is equipped with a large natural hot spring bathroom and the room is spacious and comfortable. Although the breakfast is not rich in variety, it is well-made and tastes quite good. In terms of location, the hotel is a certain distance from the sand steamed hot springs. There is also a distance from JR Ishiju Station to the hotel, but it is close to the port and it is more convenient to take a boat.

It is very suitable for couples and families to experience traditional Japanese architecture together. It can be seen from many details. The boss and the proprietress operate the homestay with care, and they respond enthusiastically to any questions. In addition, there will be snakes in the summer, but don't be afraid, because there are many cats here to win the cockroaches, super cool! There are buses that can be reached directly, and there are fewer shifts to pay attention to time. The hot springs in the hotel are gradually decreasing. If you don't mind, you can drive to the traditional hot spring bathhouse nearby for only 150 yen.

GGuest UserVery friendly and kind hosts! They drove us to the bus stop and made vegan cake for us. The onsen is also very beautiful and the rooms were perfect for our stay. If you come to Yakushima, you should definitely stay there! Supermarket is only 5 min away by foot.

GGuest UserI loved staying here!! It had such a great communal vibe to it. One of my favorite memories from traveling Japan is sitting at the low tables in the common area, eating a convenience store dinner and watching baseball on the tv. I was only there 3 nights but it felt like it would’ve been an easy place to settle into for a longer stay. There was a fridge and kitchen, two showers & toilets, laundry, luggage storage, lockers, etc. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean, I felt like the staff did a great job on the upkeep. I would definitely recommend you stay here. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattresses are really thin so the sleeping surface feels really hard.

TThere’s A World To SeeThis place is incredible, ran by a small operation up in the mountains of Kagoshima. The onsen is something out of this world. Rich with iron and minerals from the mountain, it looks like something akin to a studio Ghibli movie from the outside. The staff are kind and very helpful and breakfast is a real treat for those who like a traditional Japanese breakfast. 10/10 would highly recommend and stay again. Also to note as a foreigner with tattoos the staff don’t seem to mind so much and my entrance to the baths was permissible. That may be helpful to know.

KKokoVery convenient location if you are looking to explore kirishima natural park. The room is big compared to janaese standards. Free parking on the premises and the breakfast is also very good. The room is ok, it has been remodeled, good place to rest after a long hike. There is a very nice onsen nearby. The best point of this place was the person in charge, he was very diligent and kind to our every need. Rapidly responding to any doubts.

RRomanGreat place. There is a nice cafe on the second floor. The sand springs are nearby. The room is tiny but cozy. There is a bathtub. It’s a classical Japanese styled room. There is water in the fridge. Also, if you need to buy something, there is a drug store nearby. If you decide whether to stay there or not hope it helps. The only disadvantage is that you need to walk around 20 min from the station.

KkaruizawaBecause the previous few days of accommodation experience was very good, so the stay in this small town later chose this hotel. On the last day of check-out at 10:00, the front desk staff learned that I had to leave at 11:30, especially let me stay in the room until that time, and it was free, thank you very much! !

LlinaReally couldn't be better. We booked a sea view room for 3 people with meals. When we went there, the boss saw that we were two adults and one child, and immediately thought of a way to refund the extra fee (1,500 yen for children). The typical Japanese hot spring hotel is very Japanese style. His house is just opposite the sand hall. It is very convenient to eat. The hotel has its own hot spring soup, one indoor, one outdoor, separate for men and women. The next morning we had to take the 8:08 train to leave. The station that the boss personally took us to was really warm and recommended. I personally think it is much better than Baishui Pavilion.
