We chose this hotel for our family trip to Shanghai with the kids, and we were incredibly happy with the overall experience. The absolute best part was its fantastic location. [Coffee emoji] The hotel is right in the heart of the city center, surrounded by subways and shopping malls, making it super convenient for going out, shopping, and visiting attractions. We didn't waste much time traveling with the little ones, making our itinerary easy and stress-free. We specifically booked the Green Dream Space Slide Room, and as soon as we walked in, our child was ecstatic. The entire space theme created a wonderful atmosphere, with playful colors everywhere. The slide in the room was sturdy and smooth, and the safety measures were excellent. Our child spent the whole day happily playing on the slide repeatedly. There was no need to go out and find a playground; they could burn off energy right in the room, which was a huge relief for us parents. The room was clean and tidy, spacious without feeling cramped, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. It was very relaxing to rest after playing. The facilities were well-maintained, with no odd smells or dust in the corners, showing great attention to detail. For families traveling with children, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Its prime location combined with the popular themed slide room perfectly meets the needs of families with kids. Next time we visit Shanghai, we'll definitely prioritize booking this Space Slide Room again, and I highly recommend it to all parents traveling with children.

We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. Our overall stay was excellent! Our dedicated concierges, Aaron and Danny, were amazing. They weren't pushy with sales, but rather offered practical advice from a guest's perspective, striking the perfect balance. They are definitely the highlight of the Waldorf. A big thank you also to our dedicated concierge Coco, and to Bruce and Johnny from the concierge team. The room attendant was also very kind and attentive. Overall, we were very satisfied! ❤️

My stay this time was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. Gary from guest relations was attentive and thoughtful throughout, promptly responding to all my requests. The laundry service was very efficient, and my clothes came back clean and tidy. In the evening, the turndown service was meticulous, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the service from all staff members was professional and warm-hearted. Overall, my experience was excellent, and I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommend!

My stay at Mercure Shanghai was absolutely perfect! The room was spacious and airy, and the overall environment was clean and elegant, making for a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable experience. The staff provided thoughtful and attentive service, with warm touches everywhere. The hotel also offered a continuous supply of complimentary soft drinks, so I could quench my thirst and relax anytime. Both the value for money and comfort were top-notch. I highly recommend it – definitely a big thumbs up!

We had a wonderful stay at W Shanghai – The Bund and would definitely choose to stay here again. The hotel is stylish, very clean, and the facilities are excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We really appreciated that they accommodated a late check-out after our flight was delayed, which made the end of our trip much less stressful. The breakfast buffet had a fantastic selection of both Western and Chinese dishes, with plenty of variety each morning. We also enjoyed spending time at the outdoor pool and fitness centre, both of which were well maintained. One of the highlights was the outdoor bar area overlooking the Bund – it’s a beautiful place to relax in the evening with amazing views of the Shanghai skyline. The location is excellent and within walking distance of the Bund, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend W Shanghai – The Bund to anyone visiting Shanghai. It offers great service, excellent facilities, and an unforgettable view.

An absolutely wonderful experience! **Facilities:** Even though it's an older hotel, I was initially worried the facilities might be outdated. But when I arrived, I realized there was no need to worry at all. The overall vibe is one of rich heritage and understated luxury, without feeling old-fashioned. I personally loved it. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent; I didn't notice any issues. **Environment:** Simply fantastic. Both the hotel itself and the guests staying there collectively create an atmosphere that made me feel it was truly great value for money. This is a hotel with genuinely sincere service and a superb location, well worth experiencing. I absolutely loved it.

The room offered a great view, was clean, tidy, and free of any unpleasant odors. There were plenty of shopping malls nearby, and a wide variety of food delivery options. While you need to book the Disney shuttle and Pudong Airport shuttle a day in advance (you can't use them on the day of check-in), the hotel is conveniently located close to both, and taxis are also a very quick and easy option.

The room hygiene was impeccable; it was so clean and tidy that we felt completely relaxed. The front desk staff were attentive and reliable, making check-in a breeze, and they were proactive in resolving any requests we had. The complimentary shuttle service to and from Disneyland was a thoughtful touch, making transport hassle-free. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the toiletries were high-quality, offering a great user experience. We also enjoyed the free massage chairs in the lobby, along with freshly ground coffee and daily brewed plum juice available at all times. On a night we returned late from the park, our clothes hadn't dried, and a staff member thoughtfully offered to dry and fold them for us. This level of detailed service truly made our stay exceptionally comfortable.

My child had an exam nearby, so I wanted to find a close place to rest. I'd seen this hotel being renovated and thought I'd give it a try. I arrived earlier than my check-in time and asked if there was an available room I could get into sooner. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes until a room was ready, and then they gave me the key card. Upon entering, it was clear the room had just been cleaned – the floor was still wet, a sign it had just been mopped. It had a smart toilet, and I didn't use the shower. The hand soap was verbena-scented, and there were two bottles of Nongfu Spring bottled water. Being on the side facing the residential area, it was relatively quiet. The air conditioning was powerful. The TV was a Skyworth smart TV, which allowed for on-demand content and screen mirroring. There's a small booth seating area with cushions and a small coffee table in the room, which is great for eating and means you're not just confined to the bed. Everything I've mentioned so far was satisfactory, but now for a pretty critical issue. As shown in image three, this huge bag of trash was left outside my door from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. It was ridiculous. Every time I went in or out, I could smell the garbage. There's actually a partition between rooms a bit further down; if it had been placed even 5 or 10 meters further away, I wouldn't have had to complain. This was particularly disappointing. The trash caused significant air pollution and was a very unpleasant experience. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and properly trains and assesses its service staff.
