It was my first time in hokkaido. I originally booked first 2 nights for staying in sapporo before I go to another city. And then came back to sapporo to stay here for last one night in hokkaido. Staff were friendly and helpful. I asked them for keeping my luggage at the day I leave to another city so I can travel freely, and they didn’t hesitate to help me.
But what impressed me the most was that I experienced an earthquake while staying here. The hotel has excellent guest care. The staff are kind and helped open the restaurant and provided drinks while guests waited for security checks. And the next day when the train to another city was suspended due to the earthquake, I walked back to the hotel feeling hopeless at 7:00AM. I decided to book the room for an extra night and I told staff about my bad situation. And then surprisingly, without asking, they hurry check condition of the room and allow me to rest early before check-in time.
I booked 2 different types of room and they are both comfy, very clean, and clearly well-maintained. I really like the scent of shower gel and liquid hand soap (I guess it’s the brand POLA. I see many hotels in Japan use this brand. Love it!)
A traditional Japanese hotspring resort with excellent view and great breakfast. Staff are polite and friendly. The public hotspring has a wonderful view.
Extremely close to Hakodate JR Station, just 100 meters from the exit. The room size was perfect, and from the window, I could see the sea and mountains in the distance. While the hotel facilities aren't new, they are clean and comfortable, which is a major plus. It's very convenient to walk to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses, Hachiman-zaka Slope, and Mount Hakodate from the hotel, taking about fifteen minutes. The hotel breakfast was excellent, with fresh salmon and sweet shrimp, allowing you to make your own seafood donburi. There's also a Merring coffee machine. Downstairs, there's a large drugstore, but since I was heading to Osaka next, I didn't stock up there. It snowed for two days in Hakodate, and the Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the sea, set against the fireworks, was perfectly romantic 💯

Located in Nakajima Park, it's easily accessible directly from New Chitose Airport via the airport shuttle bus, and the return pick-up point is conveniently right across the street from the hotel. The hotel breakfast offers both Japanese and buffet options, and both are delicious. Upon check-in, a bellhop escorted us to our room, helped with our luggage, and explained everything. Luggage storage is available, and for extended stays, our bags were already in the room upon our return. It really feels like you're staying right in Nakajima Park. Highly recommended!
The hotel is really worth the price!
Cleanliness: good! Nearly perfect; there are still some hairs inside the toilet, but the rest is really good! Keep it up!
Facilities: They have free water to drink near the elevator. I really love that! They also have an express checkout box in front of the hotel to save time! The wifi is good.
The design is also minimal and luxurious~~
they also have shoes adjustment stick!
the staff: They’re nice and do their jobs perfectly!
Location: It’s around a 6-7 min walk from JR Sapporo, and they have a delicious place to hang out next to the hotel!
space: my room has a semi-double bed, so it’s slightly bigger than usual. It’s a normal Japan hotel size! If you are tall or have a big body, you might find it’s uncomfortable, but for me it’s fine, and there’s some space to pack my luggage!
This hotel is excellent! The location is great, super convenient to the JR station with no stairs at all. The staff were also incredibly warm and friendly. At breakfast, we met a particularly kind staff member who told us the scenery would be even more beautiful after a big snowfall. When they found out we were Chinese, they gave us an origami crane with Chinese writing on it! My heart just melted... it was such a lovely gesture!
I've stayed here multiple times already. The main advantage is its convenient location, being close to both the JR station and Odori Park. The room size is decent, and the cleanliness is good. I'll definitely stay here again.
Dai-ichi Takimotokan is an exceptional ryokan that offers an unforgettable onsen experience in Noboribetsu. The highlight is its large variety of hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor, allowing guests to relax while enjoying beautiful natural surroundings. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, blending traditional Japanese style with modern amenities. The buffet meals are impressive, with a wide selection of fresh Japanese and international dishes. Staff are courteous, attentive, and provide excellent hospitality throughout the stay. Overall, Dai-ichi Takimotokan is perfect for travelers seeking relaxation, quality service, and an authentic Japanese onsen experience.
Great location, very close to JR, and you can even walk to most attractions. On the way from JR to the hotel, you pass through a morning market where you can get really affordable crab. The room offers direct sea views, which is beautiful. The hotel's hot spring bath is a bit small, though.
The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Hakodate JR Station. The absolute highlight was the incredibly extensive breakfast, offering a wide variety of dishes including ramen and sashimi. Another major plus was the rooftop hot spring (onsen), which boasted fantastic views and was perfect for unwinding. On the same floor as the onsen, there's a snack bar open until 11 PM, where you can conveniently charge items like ramen, takoyaki, and ice cream directly to your room card. Overall, it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Very Good
JJesscacaAbout 10-15mins driving distance from the city center. Parking is located next to it (around 2mins walking distance) where u have to walk through an alley to hotel main door. Perhaps they can install a street light in the alley way or a back door near to parking lots coz it is quite dark and scary to walk alone.
Breakfast is lack of variety but acceptable.
Other than these, overall is satisfied.
MMaer83This is a brand new hotel, perfectly situated with Nakajima Park and the Toyohira River right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient for transportation. Both the facilities and service are fully up to Marriott's usual high standards, leaving no room for complaint. Our children particularly adored the sweet ********* lady at the front desk.
My only minor gripe is the hotel lobby; it's quite small and feels crowded with just 3-5 groups of guests, which doesn't quite match the caliber of the hotel.
MM474639****I highly, highly recommend this hotel! It's located near Goryokaku Park, easily accessible by tram from JR Hakodate Station. This area is quite central, with museums, shopping malls, and plenty of great food options nearby – there's even a super delicious soup curry place! A Lawson and 7-Eleven are less than a minute away, and it's also close to Yunokawa Onsen.
I recommend this hotel for a couple of reasons. First, the room was exceptionally clean and spacious. I stayed in a king-size room by myself, and it felt more than ample; I could easily fit several suitcases without an issue. Second, the staff's service attitude was excellent – very polite and courteous. I had a meeting in the morning and requested that the cleaning staff not disturb me during that time. Throughout my stay, no one ever knocked on my door; they quietly cleaned the adjacent rooms. Later, when I returned from sightseeing in the evening, I found a bag of fresh toiletries hanging on my door!
I was so touched! They were considerate enough not to disturb me by knocking, yet also made sure I had new bathroom supplies.
I was deeply impressed by the hotel's service and thoughtful consideration! This was truly the most satisfying hotel experience of my Hokkaido trip. The price was reasonable, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were warm and polite.
Next time I visit Hakodate, I'm booking this hotel directly.
MM11177****This was the hotel I was most looking forward to on my Hokkaido trip. The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle service. We booked a private onsen room, which was very spacious and even came with a massage chair. The kids had a blast playing in the room while the adults were glued to the massage chair! Soaking in the hot spring while watching the snowy scenery is definitely one of life's greatest pleasures, and the views of Lake Shikotsu are also stunning. We had so much fun playing in the snow. The roasted marshmallows in the hotel lobby every night were a big hit with the kids, and the desserts at the hotel were exquisite and delicious. Plus, there was a special main course prepared for children at dinner every day. There are also some nice little shops nearby with great food; the owner of the grilled fish restaurant even lent us a skateboard to play with!
MM1377****Let's start with the room:
The room was incredibly cramped, like a shoebox. There was absolutely no space for a large suitcase, and anyone weighing over 80kg would find it difficult to even turn around. This was completely inconsistent with the 20.9 square meters advertised on Ctrip.
Regarding the hotel's price:
I paid a price that could afford a stay at a Banyan Tree resort in China, but what I got felt more like a school dormitory. The standard was far below 3-star, akin to a budget motel. I booked a twin room, only to be informed it was for single occupancy. To add a 15-year-old child, they demanded an absurd extra charge of 16,300 JPY – a complete rip-off! There are many other hotel options available right outside Hakodate Station. This place is genuinely a scam. The front desk staff were also unprofessional; they even tried to overcharge us for breakfast.
Finally, the facilities:
Bottled drinking water was not provided in the room. Guests had to take a communal carafe to another floor to get water. There was a dryer available, but it was pay-per-use and didn't seem cheap.
In summary, I will absolutely never stay here again when visiting Hakodate, nor would I recommend it to other Chinese travelers.
AAI-KimiThis is *the* must-stay hotel in Shiretoko, hands down. I discovered it through a COCOGO Travel video on Bilibili, and its serene, tranquil, and natural vibe instantly captivated me, making me determined to visit.
Shiretoko in summer is all about forests, hot springs, lakes, wild brown bears, and Ainu culture. Here, everything lives in elegant harmony with nature, allowing you to experience its magnificent landscapes firsthand.
The hotel's decor beautifully reflects the local culture. They offer complimentary ice cream and an open bar with free-flowing drinks. Both breakfast and dinner feature carefully selected local ingredients; while portions aren't huge, they are incredibly refined and exquisite.
From the hotel's onsen and authentic Finnish Löyly sauna, you can gaze out over the Shiretoko mountains and the Sea of Okhotsk. The breathtaking views are sure to lift your spirits and leave you feeling refreshed.
::))My first visit to Otaru was truly unforgettable, all thanks to my experience at this wonderful hotel!
Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities.
Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied.
The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience.
Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient.
Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!
AAnonymous UserBeautiful high end ryokan in the center of Noboribetsu. Our room was very large and spotless-it was the size of an apartment with multiple seating and eating areas! The best part was the in-room hot spring bath tub, which we booked and was worth every penny. We highly, highly recommend this! Had an absolutely relaxing stay at this top notch onsen! In the public areas, there were 5 different hot spring pools for the women and four for the men. Each had different temperature settings and different qualities. There were many at the ryokan but the pools were never crowded. It was peaceful and serene sitting outside in the pools.
There were many guests at the hotel as it was peak summer season, but the property was very large and spacious, beautifully decorated and laid out that it never felt crowded.
Excellent customer service and delicious kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast with a buffet table. Would go back for another visit if we are in the area again! Highly recommend this ryokan-you will not be disappointed!
GGuest UserExcellent choice for budget-conscious travelers visiting Hakodate! convenient location - easy to get around, with a short walk to the tram station. The tram connects you to many popular attractions around the city. Plus, the airport transfer bus stop is just a stone's throw away, with affordable fares to New Chitose Airport (13,000 yen). We also discovered a lovely 2nd-generation ice cream parlor right opposite the bus stop! The hotel's breakfast was impressive and delicious. Overall, the hotel offers great value for its price. We had a family room with excellent view for sunrise 🌅.
BBeingzi1. You don't have to leave the airport; there's a direct walkway to the hotel. It's close to the international arrivals, but it took us 15 minutes to walk from the domestic arrivals.
2. The lady at the front desk spoke Chinese and gave us a detailed introduction, even escorting us to the elevator.
3. The hotel provided adorable children's toiletries and disposable slippers. Both adult and child disposable slippers were fabric flip-flops. If you don't like them, you can ask the hotel for regular slippers.
4. We didn't get a chance to experience the large public bath (onsen), which is located on the 4th-floor lobby level and is open from 3:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
5. The room was super spacious and clean. You can push the two beds together, and the bathtub is big enough for two adults to bathe comfortably.
6. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the service was excellent. Don't miss out! It's open from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
