The 8th and 9th floors of the hotel, as well as the rooftop breakfast area (which is also the top floor), offer direct views of the Parthenon. Plus, the infinity pool on the rooftop is perfect for photos! Probably because there are so many guests (and many rooms), after calling the front desk, service takes a long time to arrive (sometimes I even had to directly ask a housekeeper in the hallway for what I needed). The room facilities are quite old. Around noon, the front desk gets swamped with guests checking out. On another note, the hotel offers a free shuttle service to the old town every hour on the dot.
Excellent location near Syntagma Square and walkable to all tourist spots. The staff were cheerful and attentive, and the room was well-equipped (comfy bed, slippers, and toothbrush provided). The best part was the breakfast buffet on the rooftop with a view of the Acropolis. Highly recommended!

Great location, 5 mins walk to most attractions.
Service is below average on a 5-stars hotel standard, or can say quite minimal service, more “help yourself “ style.
Room is quite small. One of the selling points of the hotel, the rooftop view, wasn’t available.
Overall it feels like a nice 4-stars hotel sitting in a very good location, but definitely below expectation on a 5-stars standard.
Service at the top level, delicious breakfast, cleanliness, aesthetics and historical value) You can address any question and it will be resolved instantly)
This is not a 5* hotel. A good 3*. It does not meet 5* standards. The rooms are too small. Very small, even. Instead of a restaurant, there is a small breakfast room. After arriving by taxi, no one came out to take our luggage, this is standard in 4* and even more so 5* hotels, because the receptionist was alone. The decor is very austere and simple. An ordinary building fitted between old tenement houses on the Square. The view from the windows is terrible at the walls of the neighboring, neglected buildings. No parking or even a parking space. This is a problem, because if you arrive by taxi to get off and unload your luggage, you will block the traffic on the entire street. No bar, no real restaurant. No possibility of going to the roof, where you could arrange a terrace with a view of the Acropolis. Breakfasts are good and very varied, but everything is cold and cold. Fried eggs are cold. Coffee is good. Breakfast products are of good quality. The lighting, air conditioning and window blinds control system is easy to learn and simple, but it's a headache because when you leave the room, everything resets and you have to set it up again via the smartphone app when you come back. In reality, it takes much longer. The blinds don't do their job because they're too far from the windows and the room is bright at night. The bathroom is nice but cramped because it was designed without any idea. Instead of a washbasin, there's a huge sink that takes up 1/3 of the bathroom, and too much glass between the toilet and the washbasin, not needed for anything but limiting the space. The water spout in the washbasin is too long, it interferes with washing and the water splashes on your clothes. The toilet bowl is good for women or eunuchs because it doesn't provide space for male organs. The shower is good with high water pressure. Easy to adjust. There are no sockets by the beds, only a USB-A socket, this is an old solution.

This hotel has a great location, nice rooms, excellent service, and a fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend this choice.
Location: Take the X95 bus from the airport to Syntagma Square (€4.50), which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also within a 20-minute walk of most attractions, including the Acropolis, the old streets, and the Olympic Stadium. Luxury shops and Greece's best shopping malls are just a 5-minute walk away.
Breakfast: A set menu. You only need to specify how you want your eggs cooked. Everything else, including bread, yogurt, fruit, and a drink, is provided. We chose coffee and orange juice. The yogurt was incredibly thick and delicious with honey. Reserve at least half an hour for breakfast to start the day feeling refreshed.
Room: The layout is very well-designed, easily accommodating two suitcases. The double bed is about 1.8 meters long and the bedding is comfortable, considered large for Europe. As the hotel is new, the room was also fresh and clean. A large bottle of water was provided on the first day, while smaller bottles, like milk cartons, were refilled on the second day. More is available upon request. There is also a kettle in the room.

All the staff are incredibly friendly. 💚
The location is also excellent, with the Acropolis just a 15-minute walk away! There's a supermarket and several restaurants right in front, and there are plenty of facilities like a sauna, laundry service, and a fitness center, so you can fill your free time with plenty of space.
The bread, yogurt, and fruit provided for breakfast are of such high quality that I can't stop thinking about them. 🩶
The room was in great condition, and the rooftop view was amazing! I think it would be fun to enjoy both breakfast and the bar in the evening. 😊
I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Thank you for the wonderful experience. 🩵

Old hotel but in a great location. 5 minutes walk to the Acropolis. The restaurant on the top floor of the hotel overlooks the Acropolis, perfect for dinner. Afternoon tea by the swimming pool is quiet and comfortable, also a must.
Overall, this Hotel was good, friendliness in particular! Though we just stayed there for one nite (would have to get on board the cruise the following morning), the Receptionist, Efie was very helpful in telling us how we could get to the port and went extra miles in sorting out the transport details for us. Also, the breakfast there was satisfactory - though the food variety was just so so, the staff was very efficient in refilling, thus, all hot stuffs were found tasty. As for the room, it was clean and tidy. The cleanliness of the bathroom was praiseworthy (I know too well that I'm very particular on the toilet hygiene standard)。
If I would re-visit Athens of Greece, this Hotel will receive my priority consideration.
Athens Airport has long been my gateway between Ireland and Israel, and Sofitel is the only real comfortable option for an overnight layover. The location is unbeatable — you just walk out of the terminal, cross three zebra crossings, and you’re in the lobby.
The hotel is definitely 5-star and feels it in cleanliness and comfort. The room was spotless and quiet, and I appreciated the complimentary coffee and water. However, prices are steep. Normally it’s around €400 per night for two adults and a child, though I managed to book midweek for about half that. Still expensive, but I wanted comfort — and got it.
The booking didn’t clearly confirm if an extra bed was included for my child, and neither Trip nor the hotel replied to my message, though we did get the bed in the end without extra charge. Breakfast is not included in the high price, and €30 per person felt excessive, so we skipped it. Also, food options are overpriced — €22 for a “Greek salad” that oddly came with ricotta. We ended up getting Burger King from the terminal, much better value.
The indoor pool was clean but the water was colder than expected and the size modest. The shower had fluctuating warm water, a small annoyance but tolerable for one night.
Overall: great convenience and comfort for an airport hotel, but pricing for food and extras feels unreasonable.

Very Good
SSHAI 11One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Everything is excellent, from the location, the facilities, the rooms, the staff, to the breakfast, and above all, the highest level of service I've ever encountered. Highly recommended and I will undoubtedly return here on my next visit to Athens.
GGuest UserThe hotel was renovated from an old building, and the elevator is so small that it can only accommodate one person and one suitcase, but the room facilities are very new and the bed is very comfortable. On the first day, I got a larger room at the corner of the street. Although I could see a little bit of the mountain view, the sound insulation was not good. The sound of cars and motorcycles on the street was endless, and it was noisy until ten o'clock in the evening. Fortunately, the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were very warm and friendly. The next day, I changed to a room facing the inner courtyard. It immediately calmed down and I slept well, feeling refreshed. The breakfast restaurant is on the top floor. You can enjoy a cup of coffee in the open air and enjoy the mountain view of Athens. However, there is really no choice in food, they are all sweet. There are many homeless people around the hotel and the roads are not easy to walk, but the subway station is nearby and you can easily go anywhere. It is recommended to stay for one day first, then extend if you feel it is good, or change if not, there are many hotels around.

GGuest UserFacilities: Although it's a long-established five-star hotel, the overall facilities are quite good.
Environment: The location is extremely convenient, very close to the Acropolis, shopping streets, and Plaka, all within easy walking distance. There are also many restaurants nearby, including Asian restaurants and Asian supermarkets; the restaurants are packed on Friday nights.
Service: The hotel service is excellent. Complimentary large water bottles in cardboard boxes are provided free of charge; the cardboard boxes look high-end and are environmentally friendly. The housekeeping is also very meticulous.
I stayed here for two weeks and felt very welcome. The lobby is very spacious with plenty of sofas. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit.
Yyp1017The room is large and quiet. The service is very good and luggage can be stored for free. The biggest highlight is that you can see the Acropolis and the whole view of Athens from the 7th floor of the hotel. It is so shocking and so cool…
GGuest UserThis hotel is a hidden gem, amazing facilities, rooms, location, beech, water, food, etc. Surpassed all my expectations.
The Spa is also incredible, ask for Sofia as a masseus (she is world class therapist) and book her for at least twice. Then make sure to chat with Frosina about anything. Elena is also very nice and will help you out.
GGuest UserAbsolutely loved my time in this hotel! Had a great time, amazing poo, incredible roof top restaurant, the most iconic view possible ever in all of Athens with a beautiful setting!! Could not have asked for more!! totally loved it would definitely come back :) Also loved the set out, all of the marble, the foyer and the staff were amazing to me and the restaurant team really did a lot to look after me and my dietary sensitivities!! Mega love to all who looked after me and massive massive thanks!!

NNEIL-DEVONThe hotel in general was great. They did not reach out prior to arriving asking whether we are okay or need assistance to the hotel. I've encountered other 5 star hotels that do so.
Upon arrival they were quite friendly and informative. A deposit for the mini bar was required of 60 euros per day of stay which they didnt inform the guests of prior to arriving. That could've been easily avoided.
The room was clean, and an adequate amount of amenities provided. We had some issues with the trash can and the body wash had to be refilled after the first day but they attended to that immediately.
The gym is good, well equipped. The location not bad, about 20min from the nearest metro Neos cosmos, and about 30minutes walk to Syntagma Square.
The asthetics of the hotel is beautiful, there's a good bar and club within the hotel. Room service was offered and efficient daily.
