This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed at! Me and my friend enjoyed our stay a lot. The hotel gives luxury vibes with not expensive prices, the staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. We arrived 3 hours earlier and could get a room with laying for those 3 hours which wasn’t expensive but was very convenient after tiring flight. We took lunch right away and it was a well served restaurant with the waitresses kindly describing every dish to us in English. The buffet breakfast we took next morning was rich in options and very delicious, too, so I highly recommend book a room with breakfast. The room we booked was incredibly spacious, not only for Japanese hotel room size standards, but generally big, beautiful, clean. The view from the window was fantastic. The bathroom was also big, with separate toilet room and big bathtub. There even was makeup cleansing oil and bathtub salt. Every day when we returned back to hotel the bathroom smelled incredibly nice after cleaning. Location is just perfect, subway stop is in like 1 min walk and convenient to go in any direction. 24/7 shops nearby, as well as many food choices in daytime and at night, bars and shisha places. Walking distance to shrines and malls. Overall we had the best experience at this hotel and I highly recommend it to everyone! When I come back to Fukuoka again (which is a highly enjoyable city for rest) I’m definitely staying at this hotel again.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Location is superb just 2-3mins walk to the main train station hakata station where you can easily accessible to around in Fukuoka. Room is quite small consider most hotel rooms in Japan are small. We had breakfast at the hotel nice ambience but choice of varieties so so. You can consider your breakfast by going to the train station to eat as you can find many shops around in the station and shopping around for food, clothing, skincare and souvenirs are so convenient.

As a solo traveler, I was looking for a slightly cheaper option and didn't mind a smaller room, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The hotel's location is just as convenient as those near Hakata Station. The Nanakuma subway line is right at its doorstep, and it's also a straightforward 10-minute walk along the main road to Hakata Station. Canal City is right next door, Kushida Shrine is just behind, and there's a 24-hour drugstore and a large supermarket right by the hotel, making shopping incredibly convenient. Housekeeping isn't daily; it's every other day. If you need your room cleaned, you can place a request tag on your door. However, even when the room isn't cleaned, fresh towels are provided outside your door.

This is officially my favorite hotel ever! I finally got to redeem a voucher I'd been saving from a previous promotion, and it was also my first time staying at a luxury hotel in Japan. Being right next to Parco was incredibly convenient for serious shoppers like me. What's more, Tenjin Station is right downstairs, making subway travel incredibly easy. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the breathtaking window view was a huge bonus. I was pleasantly surprised by the three-fixture bathroom layout, and three sinks in the vanity area – amazing! They also offer a scenic afternoon tea starting at 2 PM; the treats were delicious and clearly not an afterthought. My only minor critiques are that the service was fairly standard, and the minibar was empty. However, these small issues don't overshadow the fantastic experience, and it's definitely a hotel to snag if you find a good price!

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The nearby subway station offers direct access to Hakata Station and Kushida Shrine Mae Station. One evening, after a wonderful dinner at Daitouen, we enjoyed a leisurely walk back to the hotel, passing by Kushida Shrine, the Nakasu Yatai food stalls, and Canal City Hakata along the way. There are several convenience stores and drugstores close to the hotel. Additionally, popular spots like Full Full Bakery and Fuk Coffee are just diagonally opposite the hotel. We booked a Japanese-style room with a tatami area this time, which comfortably accommodated three of us without any issues. Regarding housekeeping: a full cleaning service is provided on the 3rd, 6th, and 9th days of your stay. On other days, it's a light tidying-up, which includes replenishing water bottles and changing slippers. If you'd like a full cleaning on a non-scheduled day, simply inform the front desk before 10 AM. All the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and provided excellent service. Although the official check-in time is 3 PM, we were able to check in at 2:30 PM as our room was already prepared, which was a kind gesture. The hotel also features a communal hot spring bath (onsen), and complimentary coffee and tea are available in the lobby. We were very satisfied with our stay overall!

Check-in was at 3 PM. We registered, dropped off our bags, and went out to explore. When we returned, we simply collected our room key, as our suitcases had already been delivered to our room. The hotel was very clean, and the hot spring bath was wonderfully relaxing. There are ice machines and drink vending machines available on three floors within the building. A great example of their excellent service was when I accidentally left my sunglasses after checking out; the hotel staff kept them safe until I could retrieve them. The hotel's location is fantastic. It's surrounded by affordable restaurants like Kura Sushi (conveyor belt sushi), Matsuya, and Matsunoya. Popular ramen spots like Ichiran are also just a short walk away. The airport line subway station is incredibly convenient, only about 100 meters from the hotel – it's just four stops to the airport and two stops to Hakata. Tenjin, with restaurants like Shin-Shin ramen and a Uniqlo store, is also just a ten-minute walk away.

This is a decent hotel, though the rooms are on the smaller side. The standout features are the public hot spring bath on the 14th floor and an observation deck with complimentary beverages. Even though the view isn't spectacular, it's a great way to rehydrate and unwind on the observation deck after enjoying the hot spring.

Cons: The room wasn't the advertised 28 square meters; it felt much smaller, perhaps only 20 square meters. It was difficult to even open one 28-inch suitcase, let alone open others simultaneously. The space between the bed and the TV was also extremely cramped. The front desk service wasn't particularly good; the staff seemed a bit cold and somewhat aloof/unwelcoming. Pros: The location was quite good. The subway entrance is just 20 meters away, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the Tenjin shopping district. There are also drugstores and supermarkets nearby, making the location a definite plus. The cleanliness was acceptable. The hotel is relatively new, and for under 1000 RMB, it's a reasonable option, especially considering hotels in the surrounding area aren't cheap.

mitsui garden is a standard booking for me when going to japan but amongst the mitsui gardens that i have experienced, this could be the smallest and least pleasurable experience. it was still a good hotel just not as good as its sister hotels. onsen felt too cramped and was probably a victim of its own success given the crowd. my biggest issue was the room. it “felt” smaller than similar bookings in other mitsui gardens. of coz could just be a layout thing. location was pretty good and hence the crowd. breakfast was very good, amazing (see pics) all in all not the best time here, a pity, i liked the brand.

MMaki DinhI originally booked this hotel by mistake but was pleasantly surprised by some aspects of my stay. Tthe location was quite far from Fukuoka, where I had intended to stay for a concert. I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM–12 PM after an early morning flight, unaware that check-in wasn’t until 3 PM. When I approached the front desk, the receptionist—a young girl—gave me a strange look before informing me of the check-in time. The lack of warmth in her greeting was disappointing, especially compared to my experiences at other hotels in Japan. The weather on February 6, the day of my arrival, was harsh—it was very windy as it was cold, and I had to walk from Seto bus stop to the hotel with two suitcases in freezing conditions. Exhausted from my flight and journey to Munakata, I had hoped for a more welcoming atmosphere. Instead, after a brief trip to a nearby Lawson to grab food, I returned to the hotel and waited in the lobby, as it was too cold to explore. By 2 PM, fatigue took over, and I lay down on the lobby couch to rest. Despite dozing off in the cold lobby, no staff member approached me. The heating system inside the hotel was weak, and I kept waking up from the biting cold. At 2:30 PM, I heard guests checking in, which surprised me—no one had informed me that I could start checking in earlier. When I lined up at the front desk, the same receptionist from earlier recognized me but seemed to push her colleague forward to assist me, which I found rude and unprofessional for a staff member at a four-star hotel. However, her colleague was kind and attentive. Since I speak Japanese, the check-in process went smoothly. There was an error on my part regarding my booking—I had mistakenly reserved my stay until February 10 instead of February 9. I explained this at the front desk, and the staff member tried to help but apologized, as the booking was made through a third-party site and couldn’t be refunded. I understood this and simply wanted to inform them of my earlier departure. The hotel itself is old but well-maintained. I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which, despite its age, was clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning unit was quite old, but amenities were available on the first floor. The hotel seems to be popular with families or tour groups. There are a lot of Korean guests as well. Even for a business hotel, customer service toward foreign solo travelers was severly lacking. It's embarassing to think that was the kind of training they gave their employees at a four star hotel. I'm writing this review while staying at Comfort Hotel, a cheaper chain of hotel but the omotenashi I received here is on another level. There isn’t much to do nearby Mercure Munakata. The closest kaisendon restaurant was about a 30-minute walk away. Unfortunately, the weather during my stay was terrible—windy and snowy—so I didn’t explore much. There was a church (?) next to the hotel, but nothing else of note. One of the highlights of the stay was the hot spring, which had both indoor and outdoor baths. I didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, as the prices seemed high. A free shuttle bus is available to Togo Station, but you need to inform the front desk of your preferred departure time in advance. I didn’t take many photos of the hotel itself—there wasn’t much worth capturing besides the bath, where phones aren’t allowed. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend this hotel? No, especially not for solo foreign travelers.

LLuobotuExtremely convenient, just a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport (around 1500 JPY). Hakata Station is also easily accessible on foot, taking about 15 minutes. With plenty of convenience stores, drugstores, and restaurants nearby, it's perfect for exploring. Check-in was seamless; just have your reservation confirmation, passport, and credit card ready. The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and spoke very gently, kindly informing us of all the important check-in details. The lobby was absolutely stunning, resembling a beautiful 'library.' The exterior also looked very special at night. Even when we forgot to put out the 'make up room' sign one day, they thoughtfully left fresh towels and other amenities by our door. The room was a suitable size, quite spacious for a family of three. We also noticed a particularly sacred and vintage-looking chapel on the first floor. The entire hotel had a wonderful ambiance. Check-out was also very convenient, with complimentary luggage storage available for same-day pick-up. The staff member who helped us with our luggage was extremely polite, and even the luggage tags looked nice! Overall, a very pleasant stay. This will definitely be our top choice for future visits to Fukuoka!

AAoruibaiThe hotel is quite charming overall. While Japanese hotels tend to be on the smaller side, this one felt reasonably spacious. Both the bedding and decor were excellent, and there were no strange odors. The service was also quite good. They have an onsen (hot spring bath), but I didn't get a chance to use it. The only slight drawback is its location, which is a bit of a distance from the bustling city center. However, it was still manageable, though the hot weather in the previous days made the walk feel quite long. Overall, it was a good experience.

LLynn hkSecluded high end hotel by the Fukuoka pier away from the city which most guests arrived by driving their own rental car. Both service and hotel premise are outstanding. They got well trained service oriented staff helped guests with sending their luggages to their room, and showed guests their room and made guests feel like a vip. They also got complimentary free flow of alcohols and snacks serving from 3-5pm and 8-11pm (with ramen serving at 10pm) at the lobby cafe which we appreciated and also enjoyed a lot. We attended these complimentary drink and snack outings mostly by ourselves alone without other guests.. However, there is some room to improve in terms of cleanliness in housekeeping as I found a piece of hair in the bed and some food on floor along with a receipt left by the previous guest which is not acceptable for this sort of high end hotel. I also requested for a room away from the noise and given that they only got 10-15 parties checked in last night with 5 floors, staff has assigned us to a room next to another party and we could hear the couple arguing at night when we opened the balcony door. Having said that we still found this hotel lovely as we appreciate the warmness of all the welcoming staff from the check in, the bonfire event from 8-10pm and all the lobby cafe staff throughout the whole stay. The room, the beds and amenities are all excellent.. I will recommend this hotel to friends in off peak seasons esp in a good discounted price.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel for the first 2 nights and last night of the trip. The room for first 2 nights was fine, hygiene is ok. But then for the last night, the room was full of the smell of cigarettes, but it is a non-smoking room. I did not report the situation to front desk as I was just staying for 1 last night of the trip, so don’t wanna bother to change room. Except the above, everything was great, the staffs were very friendly and responsive, also able to communicate in English. Location is amazing, no matter food or shopping, everything is just downstairs.
