5-Star Hotels in Victoria, Australia

Love the peace and quiet of Balgownie Estate. Near to the winery and close to nature. Especially love the big space room, with heater in the bath was much loved. We barely left the room and just hung out in the room Wished the service level could be improve to make the trip perfect. Have sent 3 emails/query via Trip portal prior to our arrival, to seek advise in getting around Yarra but to no response at all. Upon approach the counter, the attitude of the reception was nonchalant on whatever question we post to them. Could have been better! That aside, Yarra Valley is just simply beautiful!

We stayed for our anniversary. I listed that it was the case at the time of booking. On check-in, Alicia at reception congratulated us, notified us that we would be upgraded and sent a bottle of sparkling wine to the room for us. The room (level 21, rm 25) was stunning with views of the city, clean, well-appointed and big, classic design, and luxurious. The price is a splurge but lively. The complex itself is great with quite a lot to do beautiful food and wonderful staff. It is about a 5-10 minute walking distance away from the multi-level carparking if you choose not to use the valet.

Clean and comfortable beds with great breakfast options. Satisfied with the location which is close to DFO and the south melbourne market as well.

It is not fair to comment on the facility and interior of the hotel because I made a mistake on date. I tried immediately amend through the app, but the robot does not give me options. I called the apps customer service, but was told that I have to wait. I try to take things on my hand to handle it calling the hotel but getting into the call center. everybody at the call center says that they cannot help with third-party reservation. But the third-party which is Trip.com told me through its agent and it’s robot that it’s talking to Hotel and it’s checking if the hotel can help me to change the date. This is not true the hotels I told me that they cannot touch the reservation. I’m not sure which side is lying, but I know I’m being kicked around by both side. OK fine. I will never use you again and I will do my best to make sure that everybody knows my experience. Thank you very much.

Nice location, beautiful rooftop pool, but the carpark is not close,i didn't see any instruction about car entry information. no teeth brush and comb supplied, called receipt for comb, got it sent to the room one hour later. dusty under table.

We initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience. One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils. While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over. His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel. I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.

Because I have lived in 1 hotel in Miami, New York, Sanya, I saw Melbourne newly opened and I did not hesitate to choose this one. I am still satisfied with the overall stay. Two twin beds of 1.5 meters are very suitable for family travel! The location of the hotel is also very good. It is just across the river from DFO Ole. It is also very quiet at night. The only downside may be that the shower water output is a bit small. In addition, because it is an environmentally friendly hotel, you need to ask the front desk to clean the room during the stay. You also need to take the initiative to inform the front desk.

I booked this hotel for a colleague's business trip, and overall, I'd give it a 9/10. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for an evening stroll and some shopping. They also provide excellent service, including sending an email beforehand to assist with check-in. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are very clean. The rooms are spacious enough, and the lobby is quite grand.

The property is right in the Yarra River in Melbourne, close to South Wharf, The Exhibition Centre and Crown Casino. This may sound funny but the hotel smells great, it has a signature fragrance that is so good. I really enjoy my breakfast in the Pacific Club lounge

The cleanliness was quite satisfying for a five-star hotel, and the facilities were reasonably good for the price. However, the service attitude was not as good as what I experienced at the four-star Crown Promenade.
