Overall, I had an excellent stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka. The rooms were comfortable, the service was friendly, and the location was convenient. However, I do feel that some important facilities could use improvement.
I used the dobi service, but the laundry was only returned the next day instead of the same day. As this service is directly managed by the hotel, I believe it should be more efficient and same-day delivery would be much better for guests.
The sauna was closed and not functioning, which was disappointing. The swimming pool area also needs better cleanliness and maintenance to match the otherwise high standard of the hotel.
On the positive side, the food was excellent. I especially recommend the Laksa Nyonya, which was rich, flavourful, and a real highlight of the dining experience.
For Muslim travellers, the best part is that there’s a surau nearby (walking distance) at Kampung Morten. The villagers are very friendly, and I was even invited to join a dinner organised by the surau community — a truly memorable and heartwarming experience.
The mall below the hotel felt rather quiet and had a low crowd, so it wasn’t as happening as expected.
Despite these issues, I would still recommend Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka for its overall quality and great food. With some attention to facility upkeep and service timing, it could be outstanding.
It was an awesome and convenient location to roam around. The suite was spacious and nice but some basic amenities were missing. The were alot of ants in the kitchen area. You need to book in advance for game area which was not informed earlier and we were asked to get our own basketball. Rest is fine

I had a pleasant stay at the homestay. The unit was nice, spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely view of Melaka town. It was a relaxing place to unwind after exploring the city.
I appreciated that the unit came with a washing machine, which was very convenient. However, there was no dryer and no designated place to dry clothes, which made laundry a bit challenging.
Overall, it's a great place for a short stay, especially if you're looking for comfort and a good view. Just keep in mind the limited laundry drying options if you're planning a longer visit.
Convenient location, right where the bus from Singapore have a stop at. It's also where the Buses back to Singapore will pickup passengers. Also just a short walk to multiple malls, including a sheltered 10min walk all the way to A Famosa, and another 10min walk to the Jonker Street entrance. Also close to multiple great restaurants (Atlantic Nyonya, Ee Ji Ban) and massage places.
Service was friendly and helpful, and though my checkin was delayed by 30min as the room wasn't ready, they allowed checkout till 1230pm so net-net I guess haha! Although I didn't have any meals at the restaurant, the staff was kind enough to provide utensils and a bowl when I requested one for my grabfood.
Room-wise, it was sufficient and decent for its price. Bed was comfortable, Aircon was cool, and cleanliness passable. Only a few minor issues like some stains at the corner of the bedsheets, no shaver set, and the poor quality TV. I think the most bothersome was that the walls and door let in sounds so easily and we had the misfortune of having elderly Vietnamese tourists staying around us who talk so loudly and with a tendency to chat along the hallway.
Otherwise, really recommend Estadia Hotel for anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable stay at Melaka!

I stayed in Oct 2025 and had the pleasure of staying at Rest Collection Melaka, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to guide us to our room and ensure we had everything we needed. Their friendly demeanor made us feel instantly welcome.
The room itself meet with our expectations, spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city.
What truly stood out was how much my kids loved the hotel. They enjoyed every moment, from the comfortable accommodations to the family-friendly atmosphere.
Overall, our experience at Rest Collection Melaka was fantastic. If you're looking for a place that combines great service with a welcoming environment, this is the spot!
Hotel location is strategic, near to most of the tourist spot like AFamosa, Dutch square and church of st Paul. A lots of restaurants nearby, nyonya food, chicken rice ball, and etc. Cleanliness is superb and space is spacious. Breakfast is ok, ordinary buffet breakfast but without melaka specialties like kuih nyonya or satay celup may be. In conclusion, is a good place to stay and I will come back again. Parking also available inside the hotel.

Our experience at Amanjiwa 99R defined five-star transcendence. The Borobudur Pool Suite was an absolute sanctuary. The architecture is a marvel of elegant limestone, echoing the nearby ancient temples.
The luxurious accommodation featured a regal four-poster bed on a raised terrazzo plinth, a dedicated thatched-roof balé for sunset viewing, and a private 15-meter infinity pool overlooking the tranquil valley. The marble bathroom, complete with a massive outdoor sunken tub, offered a spa-level indulgence.
Service was flawlessly personalized, anticipating every need without being intrusive. This resort is not just a hotel; it is an immersive, spiritual escape that truly lives up to its name, “Peaceful Soul.”
An extend review from my previous post as I extended my stay at this hotel. Their in room dining was superb! Our kids love their vast variety of menus they could choose from. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be coming back!

I stayed at The Pines Hotel recently and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel feels modern and welcoming, with spacious rooms that are perfect for families or anyone who appreciates extra space. I especially liked the room layout – clean, airy, and comfortable, with good city views.
The location is quite convenient, just a short drive to Melaka’s main attractions, but far enough to avoid the heavy traffic around Jonker Street. There are also eateries and shops nearby, which made things easier.
Breakfast was served at the Oak Café with a wide variety of dishes, both local and international. The spread was decent, though it could be improved slightly in terms of freshness and variety.
Facilities-wise, the swimming pool was a highlight, especially the infinity-style pool overlooking the city. The staff were polite and helpful whenever we needed assistance, though service could be a bit more attentive during peak times.
Overall, The Pines is a great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable and family-friendly stay in Melaka. It offers good value, especially for those who prefer bigger rooms compared to other hotels in the

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review:
We had a great stay here! The hotel is very clean and well-maintained — cleanliness seems to be something they really pay attention to, which we truly appreciate. The breakfast was nice, the location is convenient, and overall the experience was wonderful. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but everything was already very good. Highly recommended!

EEveGFirst time staying at Baba House Hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean with lifts available for every floor. Loved the decorations in the hotel which gives an ideal of what a Baba’s house really looked like. Location was great as it is within walking distance to Jonker Street with its night market & interesting shops around the vicinity. Spoilt for choice as there are numerous Peranakan restaurants nearby as well as cafes, local delights and chendol.
Many shops selling Malacca local products are also within walking distance. Will definitely be back!
NNadiah H IshakHotel is strategically located. Room was nice except there were spots on the duvet. There was a soap dispenser in the shower which we assume it was all in one soap (hair and body) since there was no label or shampoo provided in the bathroom. Didn't interact much with the hotel staffs as we were out all day but the receptionist was kind enough to explain a out the Tourism Tax to us👍

MMuruhMy stay was fabulous and breezy, thanks to the service provided and the cleanliness of the room and hotel. The property and facilities were well-maintained. Chef Dollah passionately prepared the meal I ordered. Vegetarian Mamak Mee filled my day. Thank you so much for such marvelous service. I hope to maintain the quality of services so we can visit regularly.
GGuest UserMy stay at Hotel Tamara Malacca was enjoyable in many respects, but I did encounter a significant problem. The bathroom in my room had a very strong, lingering smell, which was quite off-putting and noticeably affected the comfort of my stay. I wanted to make you aware of this issue so that you can look into it and maintain the high standards of your hotel.
GGuest UserI stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights.
The hotel has an excellent location. It’s right in the city center, yet surprisingly quiet. Parking is available, which is a big plus. The building has a charming heritage character, while the rooms come with modern amenities. Even small appliances like a hairdryer and iron are already provided in the room, so there's no need to request them from the front desk. Breakfast was impressive, both in terms of food and ambience.
Unfortunately, the stay was affected by a bed bug issue. I reported it to the front desk after the first night, but it wasn’t resolved. On the second night, I woke up with even more bites.
This place has a lot of strengths. If the bed bug problem is properly addressed, it could take the guest experience to the next level and encourage more people to return. Keep up the good work — you’re almost there.
AAnonymous UserThe room was well-maintained. The room was good. The hotel's location was perfect. The staff was incredibly helpful. Our stay was a memorable experience and enjoyable stay.
AAnonymous UserFree car park available just outside the compound. The hotel staff is helpful for the guidance. Very large area at reception counter which a bit weird for a hotel that not busy with customer. Not just that, plenty of area is limited to access due to faulty or under construction.
For a first time customer to arrive at the room, a bit disappointed to see the condition of the room itself. The chair is broken, the water heater pipe hose is missing, no mini fridge, towel provided is not a cotton, the toiletteries is low quality, water bottle provided is not a mineral type, the wall is not 100% soundproof. Nevertheless, the room is spacious, they also give a scent of orchard in the room, the toilet is spacious and equipped with bath tub. Wifi is provided but not dare to use it.
A bit far from local eatery but if you have a car, not an issue. The area also covered with GrabFood and Panda delivery
I'd a high expectation from the get go, but after seeing the condition of the room, it crush my hope. Overall, not worth the money for a proper 4 star hotel but there are plenty of aspects that can be improved which may lead to drastic improvement over the night.
