"Location is good, easier accessible from the bus station and within 3 minutes walk from the Yubatake. But it is surrounded by construction and therefore the view is not attractive. Service quality is good, staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. Food quality overall is fine. Yet tradition Japanese cuisine would make the experience of an onsen vacation whole more than fusion cuisine. Choice of onsen is limited versus the price level. Only 1 public bath is available. The 4 rental baths add more to the range of choice but they are quite quickly occupied."

"This is a hotel with a long history since the Edo period. It is 2 minutes away from the bus station and Yuten. The hotel's meticulous service is meticulous and thoughtful, with a smile on your face, and the special apple juice is very delicious. The dinner is Kaiseki cuisine, and you can experience it one dish at a time. The food is quite rich. Special praise for Liu San who can speak Chinese. The service is very good, which makes us communicate barrier-free and feel at ease. The hot spring is also very comfortable. I have never experienced such a service-oriented hotel. "Pro: - cooked amazing vegetarian dinner and breakfasts (without dashi) - stunning isolated location in the mountain (7 hours from tokyo) - open baths are beautiful and open around the clock - room was spacious and calm Con - you need to call them to plan your pickup. They don t really answer written messages online - strong tobacco smell in the first shuttle bus but not for the return"

"Overall staying in this hotel was pleasant, and it was of great value considering the package had already included dinner and breakfast buffet. Regarding location, it was a bit far from the bus terminal by walking. It took us about 15 minutes, as the route by Google was not quite correct. The main entrance of the hotel was up on a slope, which was not as easy as we were carrying luggage. Remember to ask the front desk for the password of the back gate. It was a short cut route leading to the main shopping street and the Kusatsu Yubatake. The room was pleasant and clean, a bit too basic. There was only a socket near the tv wall, not close to the bed, which was a bit inconvenient. There was wide range of food in the buffet, with some interesting local dishes. Food was delicious. The hotel also offer free late night snack noodle, which worth trying too."

"The hotel stipulates that the room will not be cleaned, the garbage will not be removed, the bed sheets will not be changed, etc. if you stay for two consecutive nights. That means they will not check into the room at all! Then I think the second night's rent should be discounted, such as 10% off, which would be more reasonable. In addition, the hotel itself does not have a parking lot, so it is troublesome to check in if you drive, and you have to arrange travel transportation by yourself."
