"A good central location to Alkmaar. Good to do by foot or by bike. A spacious room with a working refrigerator. Airco did not work enough for us at hot weather. It's set by default. You can book a sauna in advance well arranged. Sometimes you can get there immediately because there are already people(being) Breakfast is wide enough. from linseed/haver mout to spice with a stick. The dining room is in the kelder with beautiful forest decoration view. There is enough free parking or a paying parking garage. We had to replace the battery before we had to replace the box, but this would only be done if you weren't hanging a plate at the door. On Day 3, it wasn't restored."

"It was great again! Top location, inside it looks playful and light. Rooms are good! Our regular room had changed in layout ... Even a nicer room!! And don't forget the staff .... they are very nice and helpful! Next time my boyfriend and I will definitely book here again!"

"The hotel is located in Alkmaar, a beautiful city not far from Amsterdam. You can walk there from the main station, only 10 minutes. The hotel is based in a renovated school, which makes it very interesting with its own appeal. The front staff was very nice and even recommended us restaurants in the vicinity, plus provided us with a map. The breakfast was delicious!"

"Good location, quiet and clean hotel near the city centre of Alkmaar. Breakfast buffet is sufficient and the fresh baked bread is a dream. Parking, even if you haven't booked a hotel park, is sufficiently available in the nearest area. City center walking well accessible. Matrze well. Egmond am See bathroom is 11km away and is accessible by car in 10min."

"Tijdens de boeking laten weten dat ik een assistentiehond heb, dat ik graag een rustige kamer wil, ver weg van de lift (en geluiden). De reactie op mijn boeking via trip was dat er geen honden welkom zijn, dat er een uitzondering gemaakt zou worden voor mijn Hulphond en dat ik niet in het restaurant kan eten. Ik heb hier op gereageerd met een verwijzing naar de wetgeving van de rijksoverheid met betrekking tot assistentie honden. Hierop is geen reactie gekomen. Na het inchecken bleek dat ‘men’ er kennelijk vanuit is gegaan dat ik niet mobiel ben en bleek de kamer rolstoeltoegankelijk, zonder badkamerdeur.. Vanuit bed keek je naar de wc-pot. Het bed bestond uit twee losse eenpersoonsbedden niet los raakten.. De kamer bevindt zich naast de keuken van het restaurant, onder de trap, bij de toegangsdeuren. Alles wat ik niet wilde. Stank en herrie. Ik ben ondanks mijn hulphond wel mobiel. Ik heb mijn hond om andere redenen.   Er zijn aannames gedaan en er is heel onvriendelijk dan wel niet gecommuniceerd. De kamer zelf was inderdaad een stuk groter dan ik heb begrepen van andere recensies, maar ontzettend kil en sfeerloos. Ik had door door mijn ziekte geen energie om terug te gaan naar de receptie om een andere kamer te vragen. Overigens is de opmerking dat ik niet welkom in het restaurant ben zeer vreemd aangezien men door het restaurant moet lopen om naar de kamers te gaan. De dames bij de receptie tijdens het uitchecken waren zeer begripvol, alleen toen had ik al een rotnacht achter de rug. De locatie is geweldig."

"Overall the hotel was fine for a trip with a friend and the lady at the reception was chaotic but very nice. The room department and our room however smelled terribly like smoke and for non-smokers the smell in the room (it must be in the carpet or the curtains or whatever) was sickening. Also, there were some hairs on the shower walls when we checked in to the room (even after the cleaning guy had come by). Because of the smokey smell I wouldn’t stay here again."
