The hotel is in an old building in Arles and the room is small. But it can accommodate up to 4 people, making it suitable for the whole family. The price-performance ratio is average, and the facilities are basically complete. Surprisingly, all the supplies are from L'Occitane, which is a plus. The location of the hotel is not bad, but I am not big in Arles itself.

We booked a junior suite. The Picture of the junior suite was NOTHING like the room we had. There was a bedroom and a small alcove with two twin beds. The lighting in the hotel room was dark. Maybe a 20 watt bulb was used. The telephone did not work. The shower sometimes worked. The closet barely held any clothes. We kept our clothes in our suitcases. Glad we were there for only 2 nights. There was no manager on site to submit our complaints…only day staff. We were told we would have to wait for Manager on Monday. We were checking out on Sunday. There was no lobby, only a “rustic room with tables” for breakfast. Location was good but I do not recommend this hotel as the room was falsely advertised and when we complained, they did not care. There are other hotels in Arles that seemed nicer.

Pros: location, historic building, decent breakfast, clean, comfortable bed, Nespresso cafe machine in the room and two bottled of water was a nice touch. Cons: The carpet in my room on the first floor looked threadbare, also the room had a small balcony with two large air-con units fitted so I couldn't use it comfortably, noise from the street would be an issue during high season. Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay again.

Grqnted, the site offers a beautiful view, and the house has the historic cachet that a XVIIth century relais de poste allows to expect. Apart from that, everything is done as cheaply as possible: rooms ( basic comfort), amenities (none), evening trays ( overpriced and below Cafeteria quality), breakfast buffet ( 1 small piece of bread cut in half per person ( not freshly baked either)and a very limited choice of foods. No, dinner is not an option ( it has not been for a very long time), no, it is not an equestrian center ( has not been for at leat 5 years ( from the owner’s mouth)), yet, yes! these are still up in holiday guides new editions 2022, and on the biiboard posted at the beginning of the road leading to the place. Need I mention the not so warm welcome (Do not go into MY open kitchen that has no sign saying so and even if i make you wait 30 minutes before showing up for your check in, in the middle of nowhere with no dining in options!!!). And by the way, the place IS for sale. Now, I get it! Hoping this review will get through, unlike the one my husband wrote.

This place is WAY OVERPRICED. The rooms are fine, crisp even, and the staff is trying, but this is a chain hotel run out of Paris, and there's no elevator, the lighting is poor, the dining facilities dark and depressing, and worst of all it was, in May 2022, literally blanketed with construction crews and apparatus. Noise deafening. Dust out of control. This desolation is unacceptable, and the rooms should be priced accordingly. Far better to stay more centrally in the old city, where travellers will get infinitely more bang for their buck. We had to check out after one day because of the din and gross ambience, and I can't say the front desk was particularly helpful on that.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful courteous. It is right in the heart of Arles, located right in the old town. And parking is quite close, so it really worked well for our family.

What a lovely room o we looking the historic town! Thank you for your hospitality! It was an easy walk to see the Ampitheatre, the Arena and to take the VanGogh stroll. Lots of good restaurants and shops as well.

We arrived at 7:30pm at the hotel and our superb Suite had been given to another customer, even though it was prepaid. All this happened because the day before, I asked to book a 2nd night in the hotel I knew that our Suite was not available because I had changed my plans to have this Suite, and I accepted a Premium room. I was asked if I would not prefer to stay 2 nights in the Premium and I clearly said no, because I had sent the photo of the Suite in question 10 days before to be sure to have this room! I had had several people on the phone to do this! So I booked the Premium at the rate without cancellation, since it was for the next day, so prepaid (I had to ask for this rate! since it was for the next day, it seemed obvious that I was coming!) and they were supposed to send me the link to pay for it. I did not receive a link. The next day, I arrived at the hotel and was given the said Premium. It was on the 3rd floor without an elevator, sad and with a water leak that had not been repainted at the top of a wall. There was no manager because it was the weekend and the reservation service that had made the mistake was not working either! The next day, the receptionist offered us breakfast and we asked him to have the Suite that we had not been given the day before, and therefore to make the next customer go through the same thing! Obviously he could not make this decision. So we left the hotel, even though we had therefore reserved the Premium. As luck would have it, the reservation service had not sent us the link because we had not paid! We sent a complaint email and received a response explaining that I did not want to change rooms and that I had been sent an email indicating this. Except that we did not receive this email, since we were unable to pay for the Premium room! The manager did not want to refund us the difference, saying that she did not count us for the 2nd night that we had not honored! Thank you Madam! We do not ask ourselves the question of what can cause the disappointment of a weekend organized in detail that ultimately does not take place... A hotel therefore that lacks professionalism: a staff (nevertheless friendly) on site who has no autonomy of decision, the fact that the manager and the reservation service are not available on the weekend, all this seems quite incredible! After 40 years of intensive travel around the world, this is the first time that I have seen a hotel not honor a reservation duly made (on the site), confirmed (by the manager of the hotel) by telephone and by email, and what is more already paid, and without there being a language problem!

The restaurant: overcooked sirloin steak is impossible. Several tables sent the dish back because it was so overcooked. And the red fruit tiramisu... a base of dried speculoos. A red jelly and lots of whipped cream. Tiramisu lovers, refrain.

Le Relais de Poste est un charmant hôtel situé en plein cœur d’Arles. À langue d’une sympathique place, il propose des chambres décorées avec goût, et un copieux petit déjeuner. Seul bémol pour certains, les étages ne sont accessibles que par un escalier en colimaçon.

Je n’écrirai pas cet avis, si, comme la gérante nous l’avait dit, l’hotel nous avait remboursé la deuxième nuit (payée d’avance) que nous n’avons pas souhaité prendre suite aux grosses nuisances sonores que nous avions subies jusqu’à 4h du matin la 1ere nuit: fête en face de l’hôtel, jusqu’à 1h du matin, puis fête dans un bar à côté jusqu’à 4h du matin, sonos à fond. Certes, l’hôtel n’y était pour rien, à part les fenêtres sans double vitrage…mais ce que nous trouvons choquant et malhonnête c’est de nous avoir dit qu’ils allaient nous rembourser la 2 e nuit et de ne pas l’avoir fait. Nous avons donc payé deux nuits alors que nous n’avons dormi la bas qu’une seule nuit. De plus, au moment d’allumer la lumière de chevet en nous couchant, il n’y avait pas d’ampoules à ma lampe et pas d’ampoules de rechange possible. Le personnel était gentil cependant. Nous avons été vraiment déçus et restons sur cette mauvaise impression.

Hice la reserva de dos noches y después de pagar la factura, aún te retienen 200€ de la tarjeta de crédito durante quince días!!!! No dan explicaciones. Una estafa! Y ojo, la habitación en un tercer piso SIN ascensor! El personal muy desagradable.

Nous y avons bien dormi, literie de qualité et le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est à base de bons produits. On nous a aidé à porter nos bagages au 3ème étage ( bâtiment ancien sans ascenseur ) La chambre et la salle de bain sont simples mais agréables. Penser à ouvrir à fond la manette de la douche pour avoir assez de débit ! Possibilité de réserver un taxi vélo pour se rendre à la gare. Une adresse sur Arles que nous garderons;

Nous revenons au Relais de la Poste tous les ans, pour son confort agréable et son emplacement idéal depuis lequel toutes les visites peuvent se faire à pied ou en bus. TRES TRES bon rapport emplacement/accueil/qualité/prix/
