We know one size doesnt always fit all and our charming turn of the century European-style building embraces different experiences in every one of our guest spaces! This 114 bedroom hotel, set across five stories is your quaint inner-city home away from home that offers comfort and convenience all on a cost-effective budget. Pets are welcomed also! Our hotel is located in the free tram zone and a stones-throw away to the Southern Cross Train Station. You will find it so simple to explore the citys favorite sites, shopping, marveled eating and drinking precincts, all the while soaking in the character and culture which is the City of Melbourne. Meet our real and friendly team members, who all enjoy what they do and look forward to meeting you! NOTE: 1.5% surcharge on payments by credit card.

"Warm welcome by receptionist. Awesome service. Quality and service at par excellence. Very much near to train stations. The Best Western was perfectly fine for my one-night business trip to Melbourne—clean enough and very well-located. My only real complaint is that basic amenities were missing; there was no toothpaste or bottled water in the room. It didn't ruin my stay, but adding these simple comforts would go a long way for short-stay guests."

Amazing
GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.

AAnonymous UserThe location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the heart of Melbourne's city center. Stepping out, you're immediately at St. Paul's Cathedral and Federation Square, with major shopping areas and attractions all within walking distance, making getting around and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel itself boasts a style of understated luxury. The rooms are spacious, with a high-quality decor, and the bathroom amenities are top-notch, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The service throughout was attentive and thoughtful, with professional and detailed concierge and turndown services that were promptly delivered. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering a full range of both Chinese and Western options with fresh ingredients. The only minor downsides were that the building has some age, with a few facilities showing their years, and during peak breakfast hours, it can get crowded with a slightly slower refill rate for dishes. Overall, it remains a prime choice among Melbourne's high-end hotels, perfect for both business trips and leisure stays.

TTaninaz1. The remark of parking charge is unclear in trip.com. A little bit disappointed when the reception said that we have to pay. 2. The tab water has a chlorine smell somehow. Not that good to drink directly. 3. Good location, nice room, very clean, good service on site.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is a bit old, but its location is a big plus – super convenient for shopping! The bed was comfy and soft, and the in-room facilities were well-equipped. No one offered to help with luggage, and the hotel has two entrances, but the staff didn't tell me which one was easier for catching a ride. When I came back by taxi, they didn't open the door for me, but when my friends dropped me off, they were very enthusiastic, opened the car door, and greeted us!

AAnonymous UserHad a comfortable stay for 3 nights. Hotel about 15-20mins walk from city centre and can pop onto tram in free tram zone. Toilet bowl had a smelly drainage smell which holds presence in the air everytime you flush, was pretty unpleasant.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is really good. It's super convenient to get to the hotel from the terminal. The room size is good for unpack & repack your stuff for the trip. Since we didn't have breakfast included in the booking. There are 2 choices for the breakfast: 1. Hotel's breakfast for 35AUD/person 2. Deli cafe. We had a sandwich & muffin there. It's quick and easy to get ready in the morning.

GGuest UserMy stay here was excellent! The front desk staff were very responsive, and my room was spotless with no odd smells. The bedding was super comfortable. I was really impressed with the soundproofing – it was so quiet! The shower had great water pressure too. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the service staff were all very friendly. The only minor downside was that the gym had limited equipment. Overall, it's great value for money and I'd highly recommend it for business travelers.

**Heavenly1*Beautiful souls 🤍 I recently stayed at Quality Hotel Melbourne Airport and wanted to share my experience for anyone travelling in or out of Melbourne. We have stayed here a number of times, the first time was because we had flight delays and didn't want to head home to return the following day. It made sense and ever since then we have used it as our little night before we go on the next adventure stop over. So if you are like me, and you’re looking for something close, easy, and stress-free before a flight… this place really delivers. The location is incredibly convenient, just minutes from the airport, and the shuttle service makes everything feel seamless especially when you’re travelling early morning or arriving late. That alone takes so much pressure off. And if you are like me and need to have a change of suit case for clothing it makes a great base between flights and countries. The rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable. Not overly luxurious, but they have everything you need for a short stay. It feels more like a practical stopover than a holiday destination and that’s exactly what it’s meant to be. What I appreciated most was the ease of everything… No overwhelm, no complications — just a place to land, reset, and move on with your journey. If I had to describe it energetically… it feels like a “pause point” between destinations. A couple of things to note: It’s more of a classic, older-style hotel, not modern luxury but its a great base and we leave our car there for convince. Dining options can be limited depending on timing, but we ate next door a Sheesh and plan to go there again. You may hear a little airport noise (as expected) But overall, for value, convenience, and simplicity, it does exactly what it promises. We will definitely stay again when I need a smooth airport stopover, like in September with a group of travelers heading on.a cruise. The place suits business, family, couples, solo and groups. Miss Heavenly 🪽 You’ve been Heavenly Connected

GGuest UserThis is an older five-star hotel with decent service. Its location is similar to Tsim Sha Tsui East in Hong Kong – quiet, with many famous shops, bars, and Western restaurants nearby. However, you'll notice a lot of tourists around when you step outside. The breakfast is pretty good and acceptable, offering standard fare like bread, eggs, coffee, cheese, ham, and fruit – all the daily essentials. The main drawback is that the hotel is too close to the two adjacent buildings. There are very few rooms with a view; most rooms get little to no sunlight throughout the day and require the curtains to be drawn almost constantly. The bathroom is particularly bad. The shower screen only covers half the area, so water inevitably splashes all over the floor, making it a mess. This means you often have to use bath towels to dry the floor, leading to constantly wet carpets and very dirty towels in the long run.

GGuest UserI spent a long time choosing this hotel on the platform before my trip to Melbourne. The listing mentioned it was a new opening in December 2025, and the location looked fantastic – right next to Queen Victoria Market with tram stops just downstairs, making it super easy to get to all the attractions. I was in Room 506. However, after checking in, I noticed two lights in the room weren't working, as shown in the picture. Since there's no main ceiling light, my friend and I had to rely on just one corridor light, three small desk lamps, and natural light from the window to get around the room. This made putting on makeup really inconvenient. The bathroom lighting was also quite warm-toned, and it felt a bit cramped with both of us trying to get ready in there. The bedding was clean, which was good. But, we found leftover paper scraps from the previous guest in the rubbish bin, and there was even some product packaging left in the storage cabinet near the entrance. The hotel appears to be a renovation, as the air conditioning control panel was yellowed and looked quite old. It's worth noting this isn't a traditional hotel; it's a serviced apartment. I've previously stayed at serviced apartments from brands like Stey and Habyt on short-term rentals, and based on this experience, I feel lyf still has a lot of room for improvement.
