"We were in one of the smallish rooms (Pontant) near the entrance so you could really hear all the cars and trucks going by. Given the price for one evening it's unfortunate that you need to pay more for having access to the pool at 2.30 instead of the official 5 pm check in."

"Hopefully by the time you are done reading this review La Gourguille is not already booked! This is a gem of a hotel located in the charming town of Barjac, France. Bruno and Tamara are perfect hosts. They were so welcoming. The property is beautiful and so well appointed. The rooms are impeccably decorated. Our best meal while we were in France was prepared by Bruno in their kitchen. It was superb! Breakfast the next morning was equally as delicious. The location is perfect and right in the center of town. We cannot wait to return to Barjac and we will only stay at La Gourguille."

I'm banning them immediately!! Apparently they think they're essential. I found in another establishment, a charming lady gave me the answers to my questions and informed me of her availability. "We stayed with Bruno and Tamara at the Maison D'Hotes La Gourguille in early October, while visiting La Ribaute, Barjac, and the surrounding villages. We all had such a wonderful time! They are the most welcoming and helpful hosts, and the Maison is beautiful and relaxing. And the food was amazing and excellent! Definitely, arrange for at least one dinner during your visit. Bruno is an exceptional chef. You'll never want to leave! Matt Holman and Patricia Murphy"
