"Although I was a solo traveler, the room had 2 single beds. The room didn’t have a bath and it was shower only. The toilet had sensor light so if you don’t move for 30-60sec, it will fade out the light which was quite annoying.
The location was not bad - only a short walk from Atami train station. There is a family mart convenience store nearby.
They only serve western breakfast as you get food from Tully’s cafe located in the ground level of the hotel.
I think it’s the Atami city’s issue but it seems you can’t pre-book taxis in advance. You have to walk to the train station and line up in taxi queue - which can be quite long sometimes"

"Hotel has shuttle bus from the JR station. But is OK just to walk over as there are some small shops worth a look. Breakfast and dinner are good. With lot of Japanese traditional dishes. Hot spa and laundry is an add on plus with this reasonable price of the hotel. This is the hotel I stay every time when in Atami."

"It was my first time to search for a hotel by car. It was very difficult to find a hotel. I couldn’t find the two hotels on the left. I searched Google Maps and couldn’t find the location. I passed three hotels in a row and there were no signs on the roadside.
The staff at the two nearby restaurants always have people asking for directions😆😆

224yinghuajiThe room was clean and tidy. The hotel is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Atami Station, just turn left after exiting, and you'll pass a FamilyMart on the way. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the hotel also has a public bath.

GGuest UserI originally planned to go from Shimizu to Nagano, but later I felt that the journey was too tiring so I booked this hotel temporarily.
The number of reviews is actually not usually considered by me.
I was quite hesitant to make the bed myself after seeing the reviews about the taste.
But considering the price and room size of Atami Hotel, I still think this hotel is good value for money.
Actual stay experience:
The sanitary conditions are in line with the expectations of Japanese hotels and are quite clean.
In terms of transportation, it is a bit inconvenient. It is not far from the station, but because of the characteristics of Atami as a mountain city, it is very inconvenient to drag suitcases in the hotel south of Atami. I was exhausted with two suitcases on the first day, especially when I was in a hurry.
The facilities are indeed old, but it's just like that after getting used to it. The small TV is a problem, but moving the table over, it's not bad for the family to watch TV at night. It's a bit troublesome to make the bed yourself, but it's also fun, and it's relatively easy to put on the quilt.
In terms of service, the money I needed to pay was calculated incorrectly at the beginning, and I spent a lot of time at the front desk, and the attitude of the aunt with glasses was not particularly friendly, which is a minus point.
Hot springs are a big plus. Self-service free booking is very convenient. You can scan the QR code to see where there are vacancies and go directly. If it is a day-return hot spring, the booking is very expensive.
Overall, it is a good stay experience. It is like the Japanese apartment in Japanese dramas. The space is also open, and there is a microwave and refrigerator.
It is worth recommending.
