This Manxin Hotel in Wangfujing has an absolutely fantastic location. Quanjude Roast Duck is right next door, making dining incredibly convenient. You can walk to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, which is a huge plus for families traveling with children. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the staff are warm and attentive. After a long day of sightseeing, you can easily pop back to the hotel to rest. The surrounding hutongs and commercial streets are also close by, making it easy to get around and find food and drinks. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Beijing!

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

I got really lucky! I booked a special twin room and got a free upgrade to a deluxe twin room upon arrival. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk service was incredibly warm and helpful. The location is super convenient for getting around and sightseeing, and the soundproofing was excellent. Plus, the mini-bar drinks were free! Overall, my experience was fantastic, I'm very satisfied and it's definitely worth staying here. There are also many fun attractions nearby, it's right by the subway station and very close to Wangfujing and協和醫院 (Peking Union Medical College Hospital).

The room was clean and well-equipped, with good hygiene and excellent service. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive, offering a great variety and delicious taste! The hotel is conveniently located right on Wangfujing Street, just a one-minute walk to Donglaishun and Quanjude. You can even enjoy street views from the room. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience!

The room was very clean and the service was excellent. I asked for bottled water multiple times when I was thirsty, and the staff were always prompt and happy to provide it. The only downside is that the rooms on the west side can hear the outdoor air conditioning units at night. The window overlooks a large platform. Rooms facing east have a much better view.

The location and cleanliness are wonderful. Right next to the ”Champs Elysees” of Beijing. May I kindly suggest to add a fee to continue proposing the collecting and cleaning which is displayed on the hotel website? It is confusing for guests to see a service proposed and not performed. See hotel website and joint pic of sign to hang on door in Chinese , didn't take a pic of the basket. Also if the receptionist asks you to bring down your dirty laundry basket (placed in the room) to the lobby, it can be perceived as gross by clients as you do not bring dirty clothes in a hotel lobby. Such things are not done and not to be suggested by the receptionist. Finally, most guests on holiday are happy to pay and have laundry done. It is a service we had in other hotels in China free or paid. 2 machines and 2 driers for so many rooms is not enough. Visiting all day(Beijing is huge) and staying up to 1.30 am doing laundry in a queue is tough during holidays. This needs to be corrected or crossed out on the hotel website so clients know beforehand. Overall positive though.

I stayed here with my sister for two nights. Check-in is at 2 PM but we arrived a little past noon. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk. We ended up having to sit there waiting and then a cleaning lady told us the front desk worker was on lunch break. We waited about 20 to 30 minutes until she came back. If we had had something to do that was urgent that would’ve been bad. Once she came back though the service was good and we went to our room. They do have a laundry machine, but it only is available from 9 AM to 6 PM which is a little inconvenient if you have a packed day. Another small issue we had was that we put the do not disturb sign on our door, but a cleaning lady still came into our room. We are very thankful that we got new towels and toilet paper, but the sign was on our door. Other than that the location was great as it is very close to train stations. The room was also clean and enough room for two people!

The hotel's location is right in the city center, very close to Metro Lines 3 and 7, making it incredibly convenient to get to all the main attractions. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and recommended local specialty snacks and supermarkets nearby. There were free cold drinks in the lobby, and room service was prompt and thorough. Before check-in, customer service even asked for our arrival time and turned on the air conditioning in the room in advance – so many thoughtful details! It was a very satisfying stay, definitely full marks!

The hotel is nestled in a small courtyard, and our family room was spacious and comfortable, complete with a living area and a small kitchenette. The environment was quiet, and the staff were warm and attentive, even offering complimentary breakfast for the children. It's conveniently located near Wangfujing, the Forbidden City, the Imperial Ancestral Temple, the National Museum of China, Tiananmen Square, and Jingshan Park, most of which are within walking distance. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Beijing.

Waldorf Astoria Hutong Courtyard

My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing was absolutely perfect, earning a full five-star review! I experienced both the main building and the traditional courtyard rooms. The location is superb, right next to Wangfujing and within walking distance to the Forbidden City, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel's design is truly unique and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the amenities are high-quality and smell wonderful – every detail shows great care. Our butler, Willow, provided attentive and thoughtful service; she was warm, polite, and perfectly balanced, never being intrusive. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring both authentic Beijing specialties and delicious Western options. The afternoon tea was beautiful and tasted just as good as it looked. This is definitely the top luxury hotel to stay at when visiting Beijing. Highly recommended!

A quiet and beautiful courtyard located at the entrance of a hutong, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The location is superb, just three subway stops away from major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the National Museum of China. Wangfujing is also a mere 10-minute walk. The mattress and pillows are incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep after a tiring day of sightseeing. There are also two lovely, well-fed cats in the courtyard – one orange and one tabby – both friendly and happy to be petted. Upon arrival, we were greeted with fragrant jasmine flower strings, and upon departure, we received exquisite souvenirs. The front desk service was attentive and warm, making for a truly wonderful stay!

The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station. Even though it's in a busy area, the neighborhood is incredibly quiet, and the room has excellent soundproofing. If you prioritize easy access and a good night's sleep, don't miss this place. The hygiene details are impeccable; the toilet and sink are sparkling clean. The bedding is fresh and comfortable, and the bed is huge and super comfy, allowing for complete relaxation.

Excellent location near Tiananmen, Forbidden City and Wangfujing (all walkable). Subway just 10 mins away on foot, bus stop right outside with the major sight seeing lines. No breakfast provided but there’s enough food places around and an in house cafe. Room is clean and well sized, good for 2 big luggage open on the floor with space to walk and a large closet. Shampoo/ bath gel, slippers, toothbrushes provided. Shower has good water pressure although curtain is short so water tends to get out of the bath area, nothing a towel can’t solve. Shoutout to the front desk staff (Miss Tian/Liu/Zhang/Li) for their friendliness and helpfulness, esp to Miss Li (night desk) for her quick initiative and service recovery after a miscommunication on room cleaning early in our stay. Love the roof terrace. We were on the first floor and felt that the soundproofing was good.

The hotel was in a great central location. We loved the smart controls in the room which help with lighting and opening the curtains from the bedside. The rooms only downsides were a funny smell specific to our room from behind the fridge and the bathroom door which stuck so hard it needed to be pulled shut and made a lid noise when doing so, some oil should resolve this! Unfortunately when we arrived at 4:15pm from London our room was not ready which was very disappointing after a long trip. We had to wait another hour and go into the city to kill the time. Also everyone should note this hotel has one lift and no stairs, for a hotel with this many rooms this is simply not good enough. The staff use the same lift as does the cute delivery robot. This meant we spent way too much of our time existing for the elevator to down and up. Given we were on the floor above reception this would have been unnecessary if the stairs were accessible. This was a major issue for us and was the only thing that spoiled the stay. Other than this all was great.

The hotel's design perfectly captures the style of Beijing's hutongs, which is very unique. The room was really comfortable, and the staff provided exceptional service. Breakfast was light and exactly to my taste, which was great. The staff mentioned they'll be renovating later, and I figured this place will be hard to book afterwards, so I talked to them about reserving a room in advance 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Wandering through Beijing's hutongs is so relaxing and perfect for unwinding.

Traveling with kids, this hotel was a great choice – very clean and an excellent location right in Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. You literally step out the door and you're there. It's also only about 200 meters from the subway station, a two-minute walk, so getting around was incredibly convenient. This was my first time in Beijing, and after looking at a few places, this one was definitely the most suitable. The hotel service was great too.

Beijing, here I come! I took a taxi from the airport to get here. Cars aren't allowed inside the hotel premises. There are officers (hat uncles, as in police) at the entrance checking IDs. It's not far to walk in. Luggage goes through security upon entry. Check-in was quick. A crucial reminder: before checking in, make sure to book your spot to watch the flag-raising ceremony via the dedicated mini-program. The only reason I stayed here was for the convenience of having to go through only one security check to get to the ceremony. But if you haven't booked your flag-raising viewing slot in advance through the mini-program, then staying here is a waste. I'm a prime example of that. After checking in at the front desk, they give you a small national flag, which adds a nice touch to the experience. Dinner was good, and the buffet breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. The host, a lovely lady, was so kind and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel completely at ease. The location is super convenient, close to both the Forbidden City and the west campus of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. This trip to Beijing for my re-examination really showed me the city's kindness and warmth; I'm deeply touched.
