The breakfast was quite ample, offering coffee, tea, and snacks. Upon checkout, we received a souvenir and they helped us take our luggage to a spot where we could easily catch a taxi. Dining options nearby were convenient, and within walking distance, we could buy souvenirs and try the delicious Ginger Duck. The young man at the front desk was incredibly patient and helpful in explaining tour routes and recommending places to eat. A big thank you to him! He was a very handsome, fair-skinned young man. Unfortunately, I'm getting older and forgot his name! So embarrassing! I arrived on March 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The room I booked was 50 square meters, on the 5th floor, with direct elevator access. It was spacious, tidy, and clean, with a nice color scheme for the decor. The bed was comfortable, and the duvet wasn't too heavy. I chose this hotel for three main reasons: 1. The room had ample space, with plenty of areas to place luggage (saving space), and the two chairs were a crucial addition. 2. Its location: within the ancient city, making transportation relatively convenient. We could reach major attractions by taking the scenic shuttle bus. 3. It's very close to Guandi Temple, just an 8-minute walk, which was perfect for enjoying the temple's beautifully lit night view. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning a few things: the storage shelves were a great solution for increasing storage space, the touch-activated call button was clean and convenient, and it's rare to see a storage rack in the shower area, which was excellent. The shower water pressure was good, the drain worked perfectly with no odors, and the exhaust fan was very powerful. All in all, I'm very satisfied! And I'm so glad I chose this place. Highly recommended!

This hotel offers excellent service; the staff are all very warm and welcoming. The drinks, ice cream, and game console at the front desk were a must-have for the kids whenever we left or returned. The roasted sweet potatoes were also delicious – please prepare more! The room was very clean, with great attention to detail. The price increase during the Chinese New Year wasn't too outrageous, which was acceptable. Although the breakfast selection was limited, the ingredients were good, and I especially appreciated the separate sections for raw and cooked food. Quanzhou isn't large; a taxi ride to attractions near West Street usually takes less than 20 minutes. The accommodation was very quiet, which was a big plus.

Stayed here with my child during the May Day holiday. Yongchun doesn't have any 5-star hotels, so I chose this one. The hotel entrance isn't grand, but the garden setting is beautiful. The room was very spacious, and the smart toilet and tea table were thoughtful touches. The front desk staff were enthusiastic, and parking was convenient, making it suitable for a family vacation. The breakfast also featured some local Yongchun specialties. Overall, I was satisfied. A couple of suggestions: 1. For breakfast, there was no packaged yogurt, only the kind from a machine. I suggest offering packaged yogurt instead. 2. There was an argument among guests at the noodle station due to the queuing order. I understand the chef works hard, but I suggest the hotel improve its management, for example, by giving out number tags and calling numbers, so guests don't have to constantly watch if their noodles are ready.

Crowne Plaza QUANZHOU RIVERVIEW by IHG

Whenever I visit Quanzhou, I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza Riverside, which I believe has the largest rooms in Quanzhou. InterContinental hotels generally offer good quality and highly competent staff. I particularly love the apartment suites – they come with a kitchen, living room, and a long dining table. The room layout is well-organized, and the Jinjiang River flows right outside the window. The hotel is conveniently located 15 minutes from Quanzhou Station, less than 10 minutes from Licheng Wanda, and 10 minutes from Huansu Karting (one of Quanzhou's two major outdoor karting tracks). The hotel also offers daily intangible cultural heritage activities for children, such as puppet shows and sugar painting. This time, we also received complimentary set meals for two daily at the Cai Feng Lou on the second floor. The ginger duck was quite authentic, and the vinegar-marinated pork was delicious. The 32nd-floor lounge has a lovely ambiance, equipped with binoculars and a reading corner, perfect for a relaxing afternoon enjoying the scenery. Service is a highlight of InterContinental. You can see mid-level managers actively involved, and their English is excellent. I want to especially thank our front desk attendant, Xiao Yu, for his service this time. He's a cheerful, handsome, and outgoing young man, as warm as a younger brother next door, always thoughtful and considerate of guests. My parents were also very satisfied with their dining experience at the hotel. I also ran into Xiao Cai from the concierge team. He helped us with a taxi during our stay last Chinese New Year. It's been several months, but he still recognized us. The manager and staff at Cai Feng Lou were also humble and attentive, even helping us book a private room for our next meal. I often travel to different cities and experience various hotels. But when it comes to loyalty, I always choose InterContinental hotels. Their design style is grand yet simple, and their service is warm and friendly, making them well worth repeat visits.

I didn't have high hopes for a guesthouse in the ancient city, but the moment I opened the door, I was amazed by the view from the floor-to-ceiling window. The front desk must have upgraded my room, thank you so much! The room was spacious and very clean, I was really happy with it. The location is also super convenient; whether you're taking a taxi or a 'xiaobai' (electric rickshaw), you just walk a few steps into the alley to get there. It's only about a ten-minute walk to Chengtian Temple and Guyong Alley. The only minor flaw was a slight odor from the bathroom drain, probably due to the age of the building.

The location is excellent, right on Zhongshan Middle Road, very close to West Street, Guandi Temple, Kaiyuan Temple, Confucian Temple, and many other attractions – all within a 15-minute walk. There are plenty of popular spots nearby, including great food and unique coffee shops. The hotel itself is very clean, and the service is excellent and very welcoming. The only minor downsides are that, perhaps due to its downtown location, the breakfast area is a bit small and the selection isn't huge. Also, it doesn't have a full range of public facilities like a gym or pool. However, these didn't detract from the overall stay experience, as the in-room facilities are quite new. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Quanzhou.

Grand Honor Hotel

Grand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms. Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost „15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that. In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear. The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch. The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! đŸ‘đŸŸ) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee. Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby. Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.

Quanzhou West Lake Hotel boasts an excellent location right next to West Lake Park, offering great transport links. The 'Little White Car' stop right outside provides direct access to the ancient city's core. The hotel facilities are new and comprehensive, with spacious and bright rooms. Some room types even feature oversized floor-to-ceiling windows, offering expansive views of West Lake – truly a sight to behold. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, making check-in a breeze, and the intelligent robot delivery service is a convenient touch. The hotel's quiet environment makes it ideal for families or business travelers, and its high value for money makes it a fantastic choice for visiting Quanzhou.

The location is excellent, both quiet and convenient. It only takes about 15 minutes by taxi to get to any attractions or restaurants. The room design is well-thought-out and the size is just right. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and various eateries. Plus, a few minutes' walk away, there's a well-established noodle paste and dessert shop that offers bigger portions and better taste than those found near tourist spots.
