"Hotel is in a great location, what used to be a grand old hotel is now a hostel hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful.Roons are great and quiet z they also provided a fan. The decor was a little worn and there were some flies hovering in reception probably due to rubbish ready to be collected.
Breakfast is simple and filling, there is a bar and pool table and plenty of space to sit and socialise. There is a small kitchen available too. There is no kettle in private room so bring your own tea and coffee and you can boil the kettle in shared kitchen if it's within hours otherwise you will need your own."
"We've been staying at this hotel for years, the hotel is right on the seafront and adjacent to the Lanes so its perfectly located. If you can't get into the hotel car park then there is an inexpensive car park right next door. The hotel is very old and quirky in places and there are lots of public spaces on the ground floor where you can chillax away from others if you want. The restaurant is good value and the buffet style breakfasts offer loads of choices. The staff are always very helpful and attentive. Given where it is and the quality and cleanliness of the rooms its great value for money."
"The hotel boasts an excellent location, right on Brighton Beach, overlooking the sea. Our room was quite spacious. We opted for a top-floor sea-view room, enjoying the ocean vista directly from our bed. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves, and seagulls were constantly flying past our window. Just behind the hotel, Brighton's main street offers all sorts of supermarkets and restaurants. The room was very clean, breakfast was included, and the service was very friendly."
"Great location. Warm and Clean. Free WiFi. Room itself was spacious. Bathroom was old and needs an update. A bit creaky as could hear other guests from their rooms. Overall a pleasant stay and great value for money."
"If don’t hangout the tag service later at the door, housekeeper will come to knock the door at 09:30 to clean the room which is too early for me. Sometimes, forgot to put small towels on the table . Need to be members for the room free WiFi. No bottled water supply daily."
"Note that not all floors are accessible via the elevator. The building is located near the beach. The views maybe disappoint. Walls are thin, so if your neighbors argue, you'll hear it. The rooms are in good nick, with a good bed, shower and toilet. Housekeeping skipped our room and we had to ask for new towels at reception twice, which was disappointing. We didn't try breakfast. There's a convenience store that is open late across the street, and no fewer than three Thai restaurants in the street. Probably not recommended for twenty year olds or parents with kids (need to keep it down!) or for the older set (lack of amenities besides a kettle, hair dryer and wifi). Good for a couple's weekend getaway with activities about town."

"If you're looking for a beachfront location with breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, this is the place for you. Our room was on the 5th floor, so be ready for narrow stairs and no elevator if you have heavy luggage. We visited during warm weather and were surprised to find no AC or fan, which is essential for us as Asians. It was our oversight for not checking beforehand. Otherwise, the room was good, and the place was secure for our belongings."
"This hotel is the best one in my daughter's opinion, because it is the only one with a bathtub. We were arranged on the north side and we could not see the sea, but it was very quiet. There were very few Chinese people here, just the two of us. For breakfast, you can order meat according to your needs, as well as coffee and black tea. Just tell the waiter and she will serve it to you in a while. The room is large, clean and bright, and the waiter is also very enthusiastic."

Outstanding
GGuest UserNice flat great location close to beach and shops and restaurants , not so easy to find due to works going on where your are told to turn says taxi and buses only , says parking available on description but doesn’t mention extra cost which is disappointing as it does bump up the price and should inform that there is an extra charge also charge by day not by night so extra £60 for 2 nights , instructions for space weren’t clear had to call and a car was in the space , both showers not great hard to get temperature right and the en suite one was broken the attachment was broken so we didn’t use , there are a lot of stairs over 4 flights(77) apparently but that isn’t mentioned wasn’t an issue for us but If you have young children or elderly people or lots of luggage could be an issue, overall great location and a nice spacious flat
GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Every interaction — from the front desk to housekeeping — was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. It’s clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel bar. Cozy, stylish, and expertly run, it was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. The bartender was not only skilled but also incredibly friendly, offering great conversation and even better cocktails. It felt less like a hotel bar and more like a local gem.
Breakfast in the morning was another standout. The variety and quality of the offerings were impressive — fresh pastries, perfectly cooked eggs, seasonal fruits, and rich, aromatic coffee that started the day off right. The dining staff was attentive and cheerful, making the experience even more enjoyable.
This hotel is a true example of hospitality done right. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
ZZhe GONGI had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the train station, which made travel extremely convenient. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed, reliable Wi-Fi, and all the basic amenities. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.
SSimaofeimiaoThe hotel is located directly above the train station, which made the area feel a bit chaotic. While navigating to the beach, I took some small paths where I saw a few homeless people and even witnessed a loud argument between a Black and a White person, which was quite unsettling.
The white front desk staff member was completely expressionless. When I asked her if parking near the intersection was allowed for hotel guests, her only reply was, 'Only taxis can park here, I can do nothing.'
To be fair, all the other staff members were very good. Perhaps this particular staff member gets asked about parking too often.
The bathroom sink in our room drained incredibly slowly, almost completely blocked.
The only positive was the fearless and adorable seagulls on our windowsill.
Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this place. It's a 20-minute walk to the beach. If your budget allows, or during the off-peak season, I'd advise staying closer to the beach instead.
CChris from the shirePros first. Great rooms, great staff, clean and looked after hotel, right on the front. Near to everything.
Cons Hotel is also a club / pub and is very loud till 4pm during the weekends. All rooms are above the bar / club so had little to no sleep the entire time we were there. They do provide ear plugs in the room but this hotel is suitable for the young ish amongst us of night owls.
Wouldn’t go back but only because of the lack of sleep. Booming bass and a good nights sleep are not a marriage made to work.

Title: A Pleasant Stay with a Few Minor Hiccups
My recent stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton was, on the whole, a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is a definite highlight—it’s just a two-minute walk from the bustling Brighton Pier and a stone's throw from some fantastic independent coffee shops and restaurants. This made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy and convenient.
The staff were a particular standout. From the moment we checked in, the front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. They provided us with a map and some excellent recommendations for local places to eat, which were spot on. Our room was also a great feature; it was spacious, very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel.
While my stay was largely positive, there were a couple of minor issues that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton particularly for those looking for a great location and a comfortable stay. The fantastic staff and clean, well-appointed rooms make it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. While there are a few small areas for improvement, I would certainly consider staying here again on my next visit to Brighton.
JJonathan WallerNice hotel in good location next to the Brighton Dome and short walk to The Lanes and the seafront.
Our initial room wasn't great - v.small and some electrical issues and nowhere to work from with a laptop - the hotel was fully booked but the management kindly offered us an upgrade to the suite at a preferred rate which was gratefully accepted and went the extra mile to install a desk and chair which made things so much easier on our 5 night stay.
Great coffee shop on the premises is a bonus.
I get the feeling they were short staffed on the cleaning front, which i won't complain about as it seems to be a common problem across the UK.
Overall a good comfortable stay and the suite was a good size with round bed, bath and walk in shower. A panoramic view provides plenty of light into the room. nice.
Thank you
Llann94High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very comfortable.
BBimal KalyaniCheck in time 4.00 pm ...ling waiting though rooms are ready they dont give ....and check out time 12.00 ..if check out 13.00 they want to charge 10 pound extra .
So its our 4 hours waste .first time in whole world i see like this check in 4.00 pm
GGuest UserThe room was not large, but it felt modern and clean, just like the picture! The location was good, but it was disappointing for a place where 4 people went and paid 80,000 won per person. There was no elevator and the bathroom was shared... ㅠ But I think that date was a bit expensive. I looked up other dates and it was just a little cheaper. I would have been 99% satisfied! The bathroom was clean, but there was no shampoo. They gave us one towel each.
