Penmorvah Manor Hotel ★★★

"We arrived to check in my 89 year old Grandmother and they complained that we didn’t arrive sooner (it was 5pm) because the staff wanted to go home - no one was in the hotel or going to be on site all night. Literally no staff on site so my grandma understandably was uncomfortable staying alone in a remote location (that smelled of sewage and must). The cook was rude and said he was leaving so she couldn’t have dinner later so we said we would rather take my Grandmother somewhere she would have staff on site. They refused to refund but said we could use that night at a future date but wouldn’t send us any details about that… so we called to use our paid night 7 months later and they said it expired and refused to honour it. No wonder the hotel was empty I can’t imagine anyone would book again after rude staff and smelly accomodation. I took to social media to confront them on this and instead of replying they blocked me. Truly a terrible experience would recommend staying literally anywhere. Appalling. -1 / 10"
