"Decent hotel, centrally located close to the train station making it a very convenient place to stay. Staff very welcoming and took into account my special request and booked me a quiet room which was appreciated.
Breakfast, nothing special, just like any other hotel breakfast in the uk. Good views at the breakfast area, staff on hand to help and often going out of their way to help.
Service was 10/10.
Rooms themselves felt a little old and could do with a touch up but comfy enough for a short stay! Coffee machine too!"
"Very nice, clean hotel. Very convenient location right opposite the castle and a 5 minute walk to the centre. Definitely would recommend if visiting Cardiff. Staff were very friendly and a welcome Welsh biscuit on arrival was a very nice touch 😊"
"The hotel is located in a very nice area where it’s easy to get a taxi or walk anywhere within the town.
However, the mobile signal was quite weak, and the hotel Wi-Fi kept disconnecting - I had to log in again every time, which was quite inconvenient when trying to work.
The room had a strong smell of rubber or leather, which made me feel sick and gave me a headache throughout my stay.
The shower drainage didn’t work properly - no other drainage hole in the bathroom, and it eventually overflowed. I had to call the maintenance team to fix it.
After lying on the bed for a short while, I noticed red, itchy patches on my face, almost like insect bites. I later found out that strong detergent used in washing the bedding can sometimes cause skin irritation. That night, I slept with a clean towel over the pillow and asked for fresh bedding the next day. Although my companion didn’t have any issues, I’d recommend anyone with sensitive skin to cover the pillow with a clean towel just in case.
Overall, the services provided by the hotel were not bad, but the condition of the room and the reliability of the Wi-Fi definitely need improvement."
"There’s a receptionist who was very nice, she helped us with our luggage before we checked in and even after we checked out. She’s very friendly and also professional! About the room, it’s good overall with the price. Everything was totally fine to stay there for a short trip!"
"I have a really mixed feeling about this hotel. I booked the superior room with tree lined view and asked for a quiet room: the receptionist gave me an extremely cold and noisy room right next to the motorway and above some nightclubs. My watch has identified the noise level is over the normal limit. I couldn’t fall asleep due to the loud noise even at midnight. I called the receptionist to change a room. Unfortunately, they first gave me a standard room that the heating system was not working and much smaller than I have paid for. The two maintenance officers who came to check the heating system are very helpful and suggested to change to another room. Only by then, I was able to change to another room that matched the similar sized of a superior room, but without tree lined view. I must say that all the receptionists were friendly and polite but behind their friendliness, they are not really helpful at all. I had my dinner, a sea bass meal, at the restaurant - see the photo. The dinner and the service was both outstanding. The kettle in the room was not very clean; it could easily be cleaned by using small spray to remove the calcium. The gym and swimming pool are excellent. If you are not used to live in really loud room, please double check with the receptionists. It is also not worth to pay an extra 10 pounds per night to get a so called tree lined room with extreme loud noise. I also wonder the reason for the hotel to give customers rooms that the heating system are not working. It would helpful to check before they allocate room to customers. It would also helpful that the hotel ensure that the room has reasonable temperature before admitting guests, esp on a very cold winter night. Overall, this is not a very good experience. I was not able to sleep for a whole night. I paid extra in the hope of getting a better and quiet room but ended up with one of the worst room without getting any compensation."

"Very satisfied with a stay.
Hotel location is very good, five minutes walk from the train station and bus terminal, and 15 minutes to Cardiff Castle. There are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. Although there are not many reviews on Trip.com , I saw that the hotel business was very good when I checked in, and there were many foreign tourists staying in the store.
The hotel room is very spacious, enough to spread out two trolley boxes, the bed is also big enough for two people to sleep. Although the hotel is located close to the street and train tracks, the room is quiet: carpets are laid in the corridor to avoid noise, windows and walls are soundproofed, and no train or street noise is heard for two nights. The room window has a good view and you can see Cardiff Bay. There is air conditioning in the room, and cooling and heating are fine. There is no drinking water in the room, but you can pick up lemonade for free on the first floor of the hotel.
The front desk that helped me check in was very warm and friendly, and took the initiative to introduce the activities held on the day of Cardiff Castle and explain the route in the past. I regret that I forgot his name. I remember that he was a young white male without glasses. I have traveled in several cities in the UK this time, and the front desk of this hotel is definitely the most welcoming of the hotels I have stayed in.
The fly in the ointment is that there are two employees on the first floor of the hotel at the same time, and there are hotels on the first floor, restaurants, bars, vending machines and luggage storage. I feel that the employees are very busy, whether it is the restaurant ordering, checkout or check-in, luggage, It takes three or five minutes for them to come over. The staff are friendly and conscientious, but really busy. It would be nice if the hotel could arrange more staff on the first floor."
"We arrived at Cardiff Central by train, which is 15mins walking to this Premier Inn. It was very welcoming and staff friendly, rooms clean, with as much tea and coffee, which you took from the travellers store at the main entrance. My only gripe is as I have dietary requirements, They couldn't cater for them and had to make do with what was on offer. No gluten free food at night, Only what I would call general burgers, lasagne, steak battered fish and chips. Only veg on offer was peas. In this day and age Hotels need to cater for a variety of people's health conditions. Vegan/vegetarians are not Gluten free or Ibs sufferers or Celiacs. Which are complicated problems. It would be helpful if they offered something which could be adapted. ."
"Had an overnight stay to take my granddaughter to Build-A-Bear. Was made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It was very clean, and even though I had an economy room it was quite spacious. The breakfast was one of the best I have experienced with plenty of choice."
GGuest UserThis hotel is in a great location! Although the room is small, the price/performance ratio is very good! Especially the breakfast is very good. If you are not very picky, this hotel is still worth recommending!
GGuest UserLovely hotel conveniently located in the centre of Cardiff. Lovely spacious room with a huge bed which was so comfy - we slept so well. A/C in the room too.
Very enjoyable breakfast with plenty of food choices.
Would highly recommend this hotel .
MM55937****Our room was very quiet, and the bed was quite spacious. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The location is excellent – it's very close to the train station, just a short walk away. You'll find a wide selection of restaurants right next door, and a lively pedestrian street is also just a short distance away. Plus, it's conveniently located near many tourist attractions. Overall, extremely convenient!
DDixi.jhaveri INDAmazing reception service for 24/7 hence need to submit keys every time u step out which is good as no stress of handling keys and loosing it !
Rooms are good cozy and comfortable . Good tv channels
Tanle fan , hair dyrer , towels, provided
Its a main highstreet with all restoaurants near by.
So its ok opt for rooms without breakfast
GGuest UserLocated in the middle of the city centre close to castle and local attractions. Unfortunately room backed into a night club which played music till 4am. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. Other then that lovely place.
FF. JavierVery good location and everything very good for its price. The only bad thing is that you can't leave your suitcases at the accommodation if you arrive before or leave after.
Hilton Cardiff (from US$ 111) is a well-known hotel with a swimming pool. Stay at any of these hotels to relax by the pool and make the most of your stay.
