We liked everything about this refurbished mansion, keep the old structure and new interior for the room. The reception helped us with private car chartered, shared the history of this mansion, pretty nice of them. It's near to walk down the paifang street and others touristy spot too. Definitely recommended to others... :)

A very peaceful stay at the mansion. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and easily accessible to various places of interest.

The hotel has a lot of character, and the service was excellent. Located right in the old town, it's very convenient for exploring.

Amenities: The amenities are on par with a high-end guesthouse, offering everything you could need. Thoughtful touches, like providing two rolls of toilet paper, demonstrate their high standards. Filtered drinking water is also available. Cleanliness: The place is spotlessly clean and well-maintained; you can tell they put a lot of effort into keeping it tidy. Environment: While not particularly spacious, the guesthouse is packed with character. Its location is fantastic, just a couple of turns off the main Paifang Street. Service: They offer professional, butler-style service that is both well-standardized and very attentive. A 24-hour front desk is also a great plus.

A family of four (two adults, two children) had a truly delightful and memorable trip here. We'll definitely be back! Before making our booking, I made a point of looking through the negative reviews. One mentioned service not being up to par, another complained about distant parking – and honestly, that just put my mind at ease! 😂 We stayed for a total of five days. I absolutely despise the rushed, checklist-style 'hit-and-run' tours, so a leisurely pace was our top priority. We woke up naturally each day, and the host was incredibly thoughtful. Aside from some helpful WeChat messages and gentle reminders, we experienced absolutely no disturbances. We didn't bother with detailed planning ourselves. Although we drove to the location, once we'd parked, we were quite content not to move the car again. We opted for the host's recommendation of a local driver-guide to take us around. This meant we avoided any unnecessary detours, didn't have to worry about the hassle of parking at attractions, and could even happily enjoy a couple of drinks! In short: If you have an interest in history and appreciate the authentic charm and atmosphere of a traditional old residence, choosing this place will absolutely not disappoint.

The hotel's location right on Paifang Street is fantastic, making it super convenient for exploring. It boasts beautiful Ming Dynasty-style architecture, and the rooms feature a loft design, which is really ideal for family trips! The facilities are new, and everything is spotlessly clean. A special mention goes to the incredibly comfortable bedding, ensuring a truly relaxing and pleasant stay. We'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

A charming guesthouse with a vintage feel. The beautiful setting made me want to take countless photos. They were very proactive, contacting me beforehand to ask if I needed parking, and also offering travel routes, navigation advice, and dining recommendations.

It's a surprisingly quiet spot given its location in the old town, surrounded by renovated properties. Overall, it's pretty good, and the setting is one of the better ones in the area. However, the room itself is truly tiny, and attention to detail is lacking – there was a rather thick layer of dust above the bathroom doorknob.

Facilities: Well-equipped with all the essentials, and the projector was a great bonus. Cleanliness: Overall, it felt very clean. Just a note that since it's on the ground floor, the bathroom had a slight damp/musty smell, but it wasn't severe and was perfectly acceptable. Ambiance: Fantastic! I heard this used to be a historic official's residence (the Shangshu Mansion). Service: The staff, a young man and woman, were young but provided exceptional service! They gave very detailed introductions to local attractions and suggested walking routes, which I truly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

I was expecting rain for my entire trip, but thankfully, it mostly just turned out to be occasional showers, which didn't impact our plans at all. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable, and it was a really thoughtful touch that they provided disposable amenities.

It's a tranquil oasis amidst the lively area, and its advantages are truly outstanding. First off, getting around is incredibly convenient. Paifang Street and Guangji Bridge are just a stone's throw away, and there's an abundance of excellent food and drink options readily available, all tasting fantastic. Secondly, the hotel itself was very comfortable. Even before our arrival, the hotel proactively contacted me, offering many valuable suggestions. Our room was cozy and quiet, and it even came with a washing machine. Finally, the hotel boasts a charming, old-world aesthetic with unique character. It's incredibly photogenic, perfect for striking a pose and capturing some amazing shots.

Our room was impeccably clean, tidied daily, and even disinfected with UV light prior to our arrival. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary drinks and local Chaoshan snacks in the room upon check-in. This guesthouse, a beautifully renovated Ming Dynasty courtyard, exudes antique charm. It's a peaceful oasis tucked away right in the heart of Chaozhou Ancient City. Key attractions like Paifang Street, Guangji Bridge, and Xima Road are all within a convenient 10-20 minute walk. For places further afield such as the Thai Buddhist Temple and Han Wen Gong Ancestral Temple, a shared e-bike will get you there in about 15 minutes. While Paifang Street and Guangji Bridge are bustling with activity, the moment you step into the guesthouse, it transforms into a haven of quiet comfort. Sitting on the lounge chair by my room, watching the little fish in the pond and enjoying a cup of tea, was utterly serene and delightful. The guesthouse also offers a laundry room equipped with two Xiaomi washing machines and two Xiaomi dryers, plus a dedicated drying area. This was a huge convenience, especially for managing laundry during a summer trip. If you're visiting Chaozhou and are comfortable with a price point slightly above the average guesthouse, I wholeheartedly recommend this place! The complimentary Chaozhou Specialty Snack Box included local treats such as Guogao (a type of rice cake), Duqi Biscuits, and hawthorn candies.

Nestled within the scenic area, the guesthouse exuded an old-world charm. Our children absolutely loved the goldfish in the pond right in front of our room.
