"Location is what stood out for me first - the ease to roam around Brugge as a solo traveler has really been perfected by this. The bar staff is so knowledgeable as well about local beers and I do get that it’s their job, but he’s explained clearly without being condescending at all as it was my first time visiting and I am quite particular about my beer. I was there between 13-16 June 2026 - if any Martins Brugge hotel is reading this, please send my thank you"

"My bunkbed didn’t have a curtain so I asked to change at reception. Unfortunately, I was changed to a bunkbed next to the door which was unnecessarily loud. On my last night there there was also a constant beeping that everyone complained about. It’s a clean hostel with a pub, which was pretty cool. My room was in a building separate to the pub. The kitchen was great with a cute outside area to eat. It’s a bit of a walk to the train station but there are buses."

"The hotel itself is stunning, and the staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. However, the room had a couple of minor issues. The shower head wouldn’t stay centered, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor. Additionally, the hair dryer malfunctioned, turning on and off randomly. Since I was only staying one night, I didn’t request a room change, but it was inconvenient. Despite these issues, I would stay here again because the main hotel facilities and staff were excellent."

"Facilities: New facilities. Hygiene: Hygienic conditions are good. Environment: The environment is good. Service: Good service. The hotel is hidden deep in the forest. The location is not very good but it is very suitable for driving. There are many parking spaces. Rich variety of breakfast"

"We stayed 6 nights, two of us. Location was outstanding right on the square near the city centre, ＜15 minutes from train station (with luggage it’s a bit unpleasant but definitely doable, paved paths and nice routes.). You can also take many buses to the hotel just one stop if necessary. Room was wonderful sadly I don’t have better pictures! Very cozy. If any complaint it would be that it was quite dark if it was cloudy or come night time even with all the lights turned on it was quite low lighting. Bathroom was clean and good water pressure. Tissues and toiletries. If you opted out of housekeeping for the day you would receive a voucher for a drink at the bar which could also be used for soft drinks which we found a very practical option. The biggest complaint was the breakfast for 23€ /per person per day it was not worth it. The waffles were quite hard and a disappointment. On a positive note: There was fresh juices and juice “shots”, a small selection of cereals, a yogurt bar, a salad bar, some fresh fruit (the apples had been squished in the container and had seen better days), some deli meats and cheeses, a hot bar of some standard breakfast dishes involving egg and potato and the lot. Service was lovely everyone was quick and polite! Overall very satisfied and if you already paid for breakfast no problem but if not I’d suggest you skip it and eat elsewhere. ❤️🇧🇪"

"Hotel is neat the train station. However, the Escalator to the platform of the hotel is not working . We need to find a elevator from the car park to enter the hotel. There's carrefour express and bus station to the city center right next to the train station. Really thankful for the early checkin cuz we arrived a bit earlier. The reception is polite and helpful. The room is clean and neat. Spacious for 3 ppl. However, they charge me extra money €100sth after I check out. Trip.com staff is also helpful for asking the hotel for refund. Otherwise, the experience there was satisfying."

"Fantastic hotel! I stayed here for a business trip back in 2007, and returning in 2026, it feels just as welcoming. The hotel facilities are great, the environment is clean and hygienic, and the front desk staff are incredibly warm and patient. The restaurant is excellent, and the bedding is wonderfully comfortable! Definitely recommend!"

"Easily accessible from the train station by bus 2 (15-minute ride - you can pay with a credit card on the bus). I recommend buying day tickets for €9 at the train station - this allows you to travel as often as you like throughout the day - buses every 10 minutes. Generally: Hotel more like 3*, breakfast more like 2* 4* used to be 40 years ago - not much has changed in the hotel since then - patina everywhere (especially the Japanese garden) There are only 3 floors - we had a view of the roof of the neighboring building. Plus points: Very spacious rooms, drinking fountain for tea making, e.g., in the lobby, refrigerator in the room. Coffee at breakfast is usually a disaster in every hotel - however, there is a coffee machine that brews freshly and even has decaf beans - drinkable."

"The hotel is a bit old, but it's clean and well-equipped. The room was small, and the outlets were inconveniently located near the floor. It's super quick to get to the station – just turn left after exiting! To get to Bruges city center, it's about a ten-minute walk. The Basilica of the Holy Blood was quite unique. I stumbled upon a market and found some really cheap food like grilled pork chops, chicken legs, and pork knuckles – I ate my fill! There's a Carrefour Express downstairs; things aren't particularly cheap, but they have 500ml cokes for €0.50, which is a good deal!"

"Very good location but no warning about: 1. Cannot enter the road to the hotel between 1-6pm without prior registration. 2. Even if you drive into the road after 6pm the nearest parking spaces are blocked for construction 3. The bells will ring every 5-10 minutes from the morning onwards 4. A LOT of mosquitoes."
